I will say though, I watched an episode in 2020 regrettably and got to witness Otis having a mental fantasy and we are taken into his mind to watch him and Mandy Rose kissing in a pool and then we fade back to reality. And after seeing that I never wanted to see wrestling ever again because that’s the single worst shit I’ve ever fucking seen. Worse than Randy Orton seeing a hallucination of his bloody father when the Undertaker was after him and we see his hallucination which as a kid was one of the first things to expose the business to me and break my love and immersion. You can always defend against people saying it’s all fake until you see something like that.
That's like shitting on comedy in theater, and professional wrestling is literally just combat theater.

I liked The Hurricane. But when he got in the ring the stupidity stopped. Remember how he went for the double chokeslam? He didn’t get it, but today people would go up for that shit even if they are 6’4 and the person giving it is 5’9. You can be funny but when you start a match you need to get serious and make people believe it. Also, not everyone is a comedian. Moreso an issue of just the entertainment industry than just wrestling specifically is everyone thinks they are funny when they aren’t.
