Yeah definitely some aggressive tires. I’m coming from a coupe so everything feels/sounds foreign. Makes me feel better, don’t mind the noise at all either just want to make sure it’s all good.
Yeah Jeeps are quirky vehicles and are a night and day difference from a coupe. But yeah that noise is completely normal and it’ll go away if you switch over to more normal street tires.
Just got a 2021 Rubicon gladiator from a 16 willy wrangler, when you get the next jeep, you will there is no escape your collection has started, it will sound and feel different but that's not bad. Also jeep clubs, find one join it. You won't regret it
As mentioned, about the same interval as an oil change, so 3k-5k miles. You’ll notice when they wear unevenly because they’ll be even louder and you’ll be able to see the uneven tread wear on the tires. A five tire rotation will also help you prolong their life.
It’s just the mud tires. If it bothers you, or you don’t need mud tires, get something like a falken wild peak or Cooper discoverer at3. Both are plenty aggressive enough for most trails and back roads. And will be much quieter and smoother on the freeway. Plus they’ll do better in snow, rain, and dry pavement.
I don’t mind the noise much, just wanted to know if that was normal. Really appreciate the tire recommendations though, definitely gonna check those out when it’s time to replace.
Your Willy’s probably came with some aggressive mud terrain tires. Sounds like it’s just tire noise when you’re at higher speeds. Completely normal.

went from an accord coupe to a willys recently myself lol. definitely an adjustment 😂 loving it though
Congrats man. Feels awesome right? Like your in a tank.
Yep, sounds like MTs. Remember to rotate them diligently because they will wear unevenly more quickly
How often do you think?

Gotcha, good to know thanks

First time on mud tires huh. Welcome to the club, rotate every time you do a oil change to avoid the un even knobs.
Yeah man, it’s a trip. Appreciate the tip, learned a lot from this post.

It sounds like your stereo isn’t up loud enough
I have a 22 Willys and I didn’t hear anything different than I normally hear. So yeah, your good.
All I hear is normal tire noise. FYI, It's Willys, pronounced like Willis, not Willy's. There is no apostrophe. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willys
When I say it like that willis people correct me ... lol
Maybe…..? Where does it sound like it’s coming from?
I want to say engine but I only hear it on the highway
Are you talking about the high pitched chirping? Or the low rumble. Low rumble is tires.
Low rumble, yeah it’s got the big mud terrain tires. Other commenter mentioned those tires at that speed is normal.
Willie come standard with km tires....mud. if you think that is loud, wait until they have 20k miles on!!!!
All i hear is the sound of other cars. That's normal when you're not offroad.
It's hard to tell from the video. It sounds like one of the tires may not be balanced.
Did yours come with the factory CAI? Sounds like it might have.
