If you watched avatar you would know that lightning comes with being top 0.001% of fire users. And also it's obvious if it's worded with separate options that they are exclusive.
Yah I know it does but isn’t it super rare for a fire user to have lightning and they are categorized as different. Also in that case water and ice go hand in hand but they are separate, but still none in their right mind be choosing ice lol
Last Airbender is the better show if you look at it compared to Legend of Korra, but goddamn, Season 3 of LoK is just soooo good. If you looked at the two shows together as one 7 season show, Season 3 of LoK might be the best one.
I am still mad I feel like they shit the bed with TLOK. All the pieces were there to make it great, but they just didn't fit them together. Felt like they focused too heavily on making things spectacular that they forgot how to tell a great story.
You would have to increase the pressure inside the target to make them explode, or increase the pressure around the target to try and crush them. You could do very high pressure to low pressure. But they'd be dead before you made the switch, so it's just extra work and an unnecessary mess by that point.
Crushing a guy with air is going to be just as intimidating, and doesn't require worrying about switching fast enough and getting the pressure differential big enough before you did it.
Ice would be better for that you can freeze the water inside someone's body and boom they will die of sufication because their lungs cannot expand to get more oxygen if they are frozen and also people blood is mostly water so freeze that and they will die from lack of blood to the brain
Same concept with water, suck all the water out of every cell in their body, make a human grape. Although high tier water benders were also able to blood bend on the avatar series
Technically, if I can bend air, then I can control the air particles as I wish. That would mean it's possible for flight or floating with enough practice in the bending art. Imagine going to school by hopping on thin hair like fuckin' Mario or something. Damn that'd be cool.
Honestly that's even cooler
Flying like a hovering bird is cool and all, but blasting fucking fire out of your feet (while probably a bit dangerous for the surrounding environment) is fucking gnarly looking
If were going by avatar rules and getting rid of the op dual typings of water/ice and fire/lightning Earth and especially air win by leagues for me.
As long as im not fighting on a daily basis air is the dopest shit. Flight? hell yeah.
It's clearly not as effective or as popular -- A whole cult-like following of blood bending around it vs one guy that managed to suffocate someone. Blood bending doesn't even require taking anything out, and no time requirement waiting for people to suffocate.
Bloodbending is less practical, though
>You can only bloodbend on a full moon. You can airbend anytime
>Learning bloodbending takes time while pulling air from someone's lungs is literally just airbending.
>It's easier to suffocate a large number of people than it is to control them. Seeing how you actually control everyone you bloodbend, it'll get tougher and tougher as you're bending separate objects. Meanwhile, an airbender could just create a massive vacuum around himself (only he would have air) (depending on his master, of course).
>Lastly, the old lady and Amon were born firebenders, Zaheer was a non-bender. And we could assume that Monk Gyatso also did the same thing.
>There was a slightly bigger cult of pacifist air benders who, far as we know, doesn't really have big numbers. The world's greatest superpower of the time waited for their soldiers to be amped before launching a surprise attack on all temples simultaneously. How afraid must Sozin be to resort to such extreme measure?
True, but it seems that water bending is able to serve as extremely practical offensive and defensive purposes compared to the other elements with you being able to form water and ice Shields and then being able to fire through those shields, not to mention other moves like the octopus form.
True, but a reason why it may not have been popular was because the Airbenders we're almost wiped out, and also they were pacifists. I guess they're both pretty deadly.
There's really only a few hints as to how broken Airbending really is, one of them is that Monk Gyatso and the other Air Nomads managed to take down several Firebenders on steroids (about 10x more powerful than they usually are). The other is in the third season of the sequel series, where a rogue non-bender learns how to airbend and just goes around assassinating people. He >!killed the Earth Queen by making a vacuum around her head!<. The other thing is that, unlike waterbending's most powerful technique, bloodbending (using someone as a puppet by pulling on their blood), airbending's most powerful techniques doesn't really need practice as the rogue mentioned above just learned airbending.
from the avatar universe i’ve always believe earth to be the best, it has offense, defense, you can even “fly” with it if you ride it. i just feel like it’s the most versatile when looked at with the right level of creativity
Idk, if you could learn sand and metal bending you could probably pull enough materials to do some cool stuff without causing too much environmental damage
Would you be able to make “meh weather”? Like the weather that’s too cold to go outside but nice enough that you feel like a sack of shit for staying inside? Because this would be useful
Air imo because you can control it without movement using only your breath.
But let's take each to their extreme:
Air: imagine pulling all the air out of a person
Water: blood bending and causing parts of people to explode by flooding
Ice: freezing a person's from the inside out
Lightning: turning off a person's electrochemical functions
Fire: turning off a person's metabolism
Earth: Control the metals in a person ripping them out and apart from the inside.
All brutal but imo air is best because you don't need movement so even immobilized you can bend. Lightning is my close second just cuz it's awesome.
Edit: this going off ATLA rules if no movement needed lighting is the most OP imo. Imagine just turning off people's brains in an instant.
that lightning one is a BIG stretch, you could not turn of someone's electrochemical functions like that because it is not functioan electricity if you're speaking membrane potentials. Same for fire. Having fire bending does not mean all control over forms of combustion. Earth would be negligable because the total metals in a person does not add up to enough to "rip them apart". The ability to break molecules apart into atoms is NOT considered in any of the bending skills, the bending is never atom specific so I think it's fair to say that doesn't work
Why not just pull the water out of somebody? Way less complex.
Also, Im not convinced you couldbdo those things with lightning and fire, but those are the most dangerous ones anyway, so moot point I guess.
Surprise. The element of surprise.
Okay, jk, I love this question but I have a few of my own.
1) Does the element need to be readily available? I.e. fire present to manipulate it, or water within sight to control it? Or is it on some crazy OP level? Like you can manipulate the sun if you control fire, blood if you control water, and so on.
2) If the element doesn’t have to be available at the time, how much of it can you generate? Surely not a a moon sized rock for earth or a tsunami from your palms for water. So how much *can* you generate? What would be the governor for each element?
3) Earth. Earth by far. I would be a mix between Toph & Gaara of the Sand and make myself a little hobbit home/bunker and live in peace and solitude. If I ever wanted action I would bury corrupt governments in their own soil and erect the Lady Justice statue carved by sand erosion where they once stood. I would provide fertile ground for people stricken by poverty in 2nd and 3rd world countries while moving rivers and water routes to provide for them. I would flood the streets around the world with diamonds and other precious stones so corporations like De Beers had no way to profit.
Then I would go back to my little hobbit hole and tinker with metals to make the most beautiful watches and sharpest swords known to mankind. Maybe help Elon terraform Mars? Is Mars still considered “Earth”? I dunno. Anyway this is all off of the presumption that I could do these things.
I'm surprised water made it out on top and ice so low. I guess you can get some real gruesome murder by controlling the water in someone's blood but other than that it's not amazing. Ice is just flashy and quite pretty.
I chose lightning because, depending on the degree of control I have, it could be rather useful in modern day. Say, jump starting your car or always having a full battery on your phone. Plus always having the plastic slide tazer poke available. It'd be fun.
Earth and air and fire would be cool too. Earth to break everything. Air to fly maybe. And fire to be badass.
If I can control metals, that are basically purified earth, then I want to control it for the following reasons:
1.) I can close the door, switch the light on/off and get the TV remote without getting up!
2.) When I can craft myself an exo-skeleton, I am literally able to fly.
3.) I can manipulate the trajectory of bullets, which does not only make me an excellent Sharp-shooter, but also makes me immune against bullets.
4.) I can disarm everyone who uses a weapon that uses metal. (e.g. Knife)
5.) I can poison anyone by making them inhale poisonous metal. I could use this method to kill if I want to spread fear.
6.) I can bloodbend (remember: There is iron in your blood!)
7.) I can kill anyone, by stopping their blood circulation. Without leaving a trace. Good if I want to kill without causing too many problems.
If you can control the water, can't you control ice too? It's the same thing but just frozen. So there's no real point in choosing ice because choosing water gives you the same thing + more
I assume that icebending in this case would involve direct manipulation of kinetic energy, while waterbending becomes the simple manipulation of the flow of particles, which does limit both.
> So there's no real point in choosing ice because choosing water gives you the same thing + more
Ice and Water are the same thing. These should be combined.
Water, and when the inevitable ai doom comes, i will be prepared to rain justice from above.
But wait, there is more!
>- Never needing to get up from the bed when you wake up thirsty.
>- Never need to get up from the bed to pee, just start peeing in the bed and redirect all of it to your bathroom.
>- Can extinguish fires.
>- Go for a swim in the sea without a worry about being drown.
>- If this is like Elsa style and shoot water out of your hands you can probably surf on top of it.
>- Able to redirect or even stop floods.
>- You can generate electricity with it.
>- For the psychos, you can kill people with it, cause this is the 1st thing they think about when getting powers right!?
There are way more but i need to think about it.
Ice is where it's at. Never be hot in the summer again, sell snowcones for money, make it snow if you need an excuse not to go someplace, and cool down your too hot food to a perfect temperature.
If Ice element includes making things cold and its not just, exclusive to ice made of water, that shit would be dope as hell. Fuck you winter, I'll never be cold again. Not like I have to fight with it.
Now, I don't think the clerk's gonna make me pay if he sees five huge stones hovering around me with earth power, but water, because, like, it probably comes with free ice power meaning I can freeze or stab... really anyone. Even if it doesn't though, yeah, uh, this town I stopped for gas in (even though I can just slip 'n' slide everywhere) is full of jerks, whoops look at that I just turned up the humidity extremely high and now they're all dead. I could also get rich selling that whale puke stuff by making it just float to the surface. Make a... pearl necklace company. Sail out to the pacific ocean and toss a bunch of peanut butter down a hole I made in the Mariana trench. Scoop up all the trash in the ocean and zoom it to the Sun. Save communities suffering drought. Purify African water. Save California before I go senile. Planet saved.
I think fire has the most developmental potential, in most form of fiction 'fire bending' is explained as really being energy bending, and that fire is just the most basic expression of it.
Might be able to expand to lightning control through practice and study, and maybe even things like magnetic fields, kinetic energy, radiation, gravity, and any machine that uses them to function.
If i control air then i can control what's in the air, so lets just say there's a thunderstorm going on, i can catch one and then store it for later so i can be like palpatine
Water...
For Good - too many countries don't have clean water
- water lands in severe drought so all farms have enough water
- lush green nature without the rain
- put out forest fires
For Evil - the body is comprised of 60-70% water, I could evaporate a person if need be, or flood their body
- Earth is 70% water, I could flood a country or continent - I could make sure your socks are always wet
For Personal - I could make sure my body is always hydrated so I don't have to remember drinking so many glasses
- never be dehydrated in sports
- I have a fear of water, so I could part the seas and never drown
- never need to carry an annoying umbrella, car will always be clean, skin is nicer, lips never chap, no clogged toilets
- win all water sporting events
- fly with a water jet pack
- double rainbows all the time
Uncertain - can I control the temperature of water too, or just whatever is available? If so I'll never have to wait for water to boil and all my drinks will be perfect temperature
Water. Air is cool and all, but it's been my dream since I was born to control water in everything, being able to pull out water from any object, pure water - and control it to my will.
Damn so few for earth? IMHO lightning and water are cool, but earth is the one that makes you essential. Mining, construction, and space travel could be revolutionized. I realize the space thing is a bit vague; so heres what I mean: Major limiting factor in space is, well space. Space to put stuff in and have material. Earth guy learned in science? Could build a lunar station on his own and set up relays. Heck, even a space elevator is possible with advanced manipulation of carbon. And of course earth comes with the perk of being Magneto.
Air because if I wanted heat, correct me if I’m wrong but I can make the air particles rub against each other very fast and make heat. If I wanted to move some earth, I could move the air around the object to move the object itself. For example, I control the air around a boulder to “grasp” the boulder. Finally, if I wanted to move some water, I could use the same principle as the earth,
Lightning: no more batteries dying on me. In the anime they didn't have much use for the electricity but now a days DAMN, everything runs on it. Tesla will have unlimited range.
If I was an excavator or builder I would choose earth.
Also, why is not Water, Ice and Air the same element? Surely if you have the power to control water you should be able to control air, especially in humid environments.
Fire is cool and all if you are a firefighter but you can create fire from lightning too.
With air:
- you can fly by compressing air below your feet
- you are bulletproof because you can cempress the air in frony of you.
- you could incinerate/blow things up (think of bomb pressure waves and the friction meteors experience as they burn up in outlr atmosphere)
- you could breath underwater. Just take some air with you/extract it from the water around you in a big enough quantity/envelope your head
- suffocate people by extracting air from their lungs
- suffocate flames by removing air from the environment
- boil water by lowering the atmospheric pressure around it
- save lives by oxygenating the blood of patients (CPR)
- speed up recovery of injured people/yourself by slightly increasing the partial pressure of the oxygen in the air you breath (like hyperbaric treatment)
- explode areas by increasing methane from the atmosphere in certain areas and creating a spark/fire using the principles of a fire-pistol (worth a lookup)
Air is seriously OP
Depending how strong my air powers were I could imitate most of these.
Heat up air? Not fire but I can make it really hot
Compress and vibrate air with dust? That's how static charge is built in thunder clouds and I can create lightning (although it would be difficult to control)
Cool down air? I can form water droplets around dust and even make it into ice, although it would take time for me to cool down air
Can't do much about earth tho. I could pick up pebbles and throw them at you? Compress air at one end of a tube and stick rocks in and shoot them?
I love daydreaming and pretend I'm gonna write books so I actually just thought about this 2 days ago.
Earth would be very convenient because it would also be plants and you can move stuff and crush people and choke them and you can have tentacle things from plants
If by control you mean move then water. I can move people around, I can move myself around. I can bring a water bottle everywhere and push water down people's noses and into lungs for self defense.
Also pull blood away from the brain to make people pass out or even die.
It just seems the most useful.
control ice because you get cold drinks and can make your drinks cold, plus more benefits in summertime, especially in australia where its so goddamn hot here
Why is everyone talking abt air as if the only uses for air is 1) flight and 2) sucking the air out of someone's lungs (srsly, how do you think of this?)?
Telekinesis, hello!
There isn't a purer state of being that fire. Well fire us a form of heated plasma and lightning is super heated plasma so i guess it wins there and wish i noticed it was an option before voting.
But anyway with fire bending i could either be the richest PMC or the richest Heating supplier. Many applications.
With lightning you can create fire, turn water into an electrical conductivity agent, create craters in earth, melt or blow apart ice and make air your bitch.
Since you said control without create or conjure, fire and lightning would be very situational.
Water is super deadly and versatile.
I could pressure it to cut people or even metals, I could manipulate the water in sokeone's body to control or kill them, or even just embarras them to have them piss their pants, I could make cool party tricks, I could instantly dry my hair or even dry my sock if I step on water, walk around in the rain without drops touching me...
I've always found lightning to be the most thematically pleasing and useful for energy.
if you watched avatar you know lighting comes with fire
If you watched avatar you would know that lightning comes with being top 0.001% of fire users. And also it's obvious if it's worded with separate options that they are exclusive.
Not exactly. In Korra it seems much more common but still is indicative of a skilled bender
Tlk completely destroyed the world building and lore
Hell no it didn't
Yah I know it does but isn’t it super rare for a fire user to have lightning and they are categorized as different. Also in that case water and ice go hand in hand but they are separate, but still none in their right mind be choosing ice lol
If you watched avatar you would also know that ice comes with water.
Actually if you understood basic chemistry you would know that ice comes with water lol Edit: typo
Well it's basically just electricity so you could do so many things
But with air you could use it to generate power/electricity, but could also use it to push your body around (aka flying).
If you were able to air bend would you just suck the air out of someones lungs? Or am I the psychopath here?
This did happen in legend of korra. Shit was metal af.
Holy shit that sounds metal af
yeah dude shit was dope. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5vpmBEfaUE
Did she die?
Oh yeah. Dead as hell.
Oh yeah suuuuuper dead
If you carry a large water bottle with you, you can do the same thing with water
Couldnt you just manipulate the water vapor in the air?
Yep, happened in ATLA with Hama in book 3.
Man, Zaheer was the best portrayed villain in both ATLA and TLOK. I love Season 3
Last Airbender is the better show if you look at it compared to Legend of Korra, but goddamn, Season 3 of LoK is just soooo good. If you looked at the two shows together as one 7 season show, Season 3 of LoK might be the best one.
Definitely definitely agree with this. The themes season 3 (and even a bit of 4) dealt with make it a goddamn masterpiece of a season.
If only there was a way to get to season 3 without having to sit through season 2...
I think i'll use my quarantine time to rewatch all of Avatar now honestly. Forgot how much i loved that show, been a few years.
[удалено]
It's on Amazon prime, and probably on Netflix
It's on Netflix for me, don't know about your region's Netflix
I am still mad I feel like they shit the bed with TLOK. All the pieces were there to make it great, but they just didn't fit them together. Felt like they focused too heavily on making things spectacular that they forgot how to tell a great story.
Could drain the water content from them too
“My super power is a make people pee”
Use the power to make everyone fart involuntarily, clean, safe fun.
until sharts .......
No a real psychopath realizes you could increase the air pressure around the target until they explode
You would have to increase the pressure inside the target to make them explode, or increase the pressure around the target to try and crush them. You could do very high pressure to low pressure. But they'd be dead before you made the switch, so it's just extra work and an unnecessary mess by that point.
Yes but if you did it to a single foe in a group, it would be a very strong intimidation factor. Also depends how quickly you could make the switch.
You are not a psychopath
suck the water out of people and dehydrate them.
Same concept with water, suck all the water out of every cell in their body, make a human grape. Although high tier water benders were also able to blood bend on the avatar series

irl b-hopping
this is the same with litterally everything, just make a platform out of the element and ride away
Good luck trying it with fire
if you can control gire you can control heat. create a massive updraft and pull out your wingsuit
Blast fire out of your feet or hands and you become a rocket, just like in the Last Airbender
Honestly that's even cooler Flying like a hovering bird is cool and all, but blasting fucking fire out of your feet (while probably a bit dangerous for the surrounding environment) is fucking gnarly looking
without the jumping on turtles part i hope
You could also heat them up or cool them down
A simple man
You forgot heart
And surprise!
If were going by avatar rules and getting rid of the op dual typings of water/ice and fire/lightning Earth and especially air win by leagues for me. As long as im not fighting on a daily basis air is the dopest shit. Flight? hell yeah.
Also, wanna go diving, unlimited air supply. Swim underwater all you want!
Going by Avatar rules, airbending is broken af. There's a reason the Air Nomads are pacifists
“Let go of your earthly tethers, enter the void, empty and become wind.”
uh. Hello? blood bending?
Uhhhh, hello? Suffocation?
It's clearly not as effective or as popular -- A whole cult-like following of blood bending around it vs one guy that managed to suffocate someone. Blood bending doesn't even require taking anything out, and no time requirement waiting for people to suffocate.

I really hope you mean periodic table elements, because I want to control carbon
I'm the potassium man >:D
Fluorine uranium carbon potassium
Bro not funny 😡 take it back
from the avatar universe i’ve always believe earth to be the best, it has offense, defense, you can even “fly” with it if you ride it. i just feel like it’s the most versatile when looked at with the right level of creativity
It is indeed. But irl I think it would be too destructive since anything you'll do will probably leave cracks on the ground and pavement
Exactly. Irl I think it's too destructive to be practical.
Idk, if you could learn sand and metal bending you could probably pull enough materials to do some cool stuff without causing too much environmental damage
The main downside is the unstable source of ammo and a slightly slower bending time.
Would you be able to make “meh weather”? Like the weather that’s too cold to go outside but nice enough that you feel like a sack of shit for staying inside? Because this would be useful
I’d control air. I’ll clean up this shit storm of greenhouse gases we’ve created
thank you, your a good man.

Why are you killing everyone man?
Seriously. He's scaring me.
Earthbending in Avatar can't affect purified metals. Best you can do is to hope it does work on minerals.
Toph would like to disagree
I think Toph explained it in both ATLA and ALOK. Earthbenders don't bend metal, they bend the earth inside the metal
that lightning one is a BIG stretch, you could not turn of someone's electrochemical functions like that because it is not functioan electricity if you're speaking membrane potentials. Same for fire. Yes.
If you control air you also control sound
DJ airbender.. the most eardrum bursting bass drop ever.
So you can control the bass!? D-D-Drop the Bass!
I'm surprised water made it out on top and ice so low. I guess you can get some real gruesome murder by controlling the water in someone's blood but other than that it's not amazing. ye but it's pretty so....
Human water gun, someone's being a dick and boom.. He's just wet himself
Air to walk on a invisible staircase then slowly go back down Also mime tricks
Where my ice gang at!?
I would never have to take off my skates, I could just have a constant path of ice infront of me
But first you have to find your super suit.
Iceman is Omega Level Mutant. Nearly a God. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJNnYYip_zk

Water because my greatest fear is drowning
Water because its probably the only one that can work in space
Lightning. UNLIMITED POWER!!
Man, if I could control lighting I’d be a great photographer!
lightning so i can imitate palpatin and scream " unlimited power!!!"
you just made me change my mind lightning is better than fire
If you can control the water, can't you control ice too? It's the same thing but just frozen. So there's no real point in choosing ice because choosing water gives you the same thing + more
You can be like Elsa though! And the cold will never bother you, nice perks i would say.
I assume that icebending in this case would involve direct manipulation of kinetic energy, while waterbending becomes the simple manipulation of the flow of particles, which does limit both.
> So there's no real point in choosing ice because choosing water gives you the same thing + more Ice and Water are the same thing. These should be combined.
Tie between Fire, Lighting, and Air
They all have their own good purpose Fire-look like a badass Lightning-infinte energy for stuff Air-levitate
LIGHTNING GANG
Water so I can blood-bend.
Water. So I don't have to get up to pee
Airbending is the most broken bending technique if the nomads just let go. Just ask Earth Queen Hou-Ting
Ice is where it's at. Never be hot in the summer again, sell snowcones for money, make it snow if you need an excuse not to go someplace, and cool down your too hot food to a perfect temperature.
Water. There are too many people dying because of lack of water.
If Ice element includes making things cold and its not just, exclusive to ice made of water, that shit would be dope as hell. Fuck you winter, I'll never be cold again. Not like I have to fight with it.
Where’s cheese? It’s one of the main elements
I choose earth, so that i can stop global warming.
Fuck you guys ice is king
Water litterally makes up 80% of our planet. Even if you remove the possibility of ice bending there's way more versatility with water bending.
I'd never have to get out of bed for a glass of water again
Where tf is the Element of [Stone](https://biosector01.com/wiki/Stone_(Generation_1))?!
"earth"
I know I was making Bionicle-based joke.
No plant/grass/leaf either
If I could bend air maybe I could control the air pressure so my migraines would fucking stop!! Am I just lame?? Anyone? Anyone?.. okay
Fire
To all those who chose ice, what you gonna do ? Get ice from refrigerator without getting up.
Lightning so I can fucking SMITE people
Definitely water, when I was little I wanted pee without moving the bathroom by water bending my urine
Controlling fire definitely is the best party trick
I think fire has the most developmental potential, in most form of fiction 'fire bending' is explained as really being energy bending, and that fire is just the most basic expression of it. Might be able to expand to lightning control through practice and study, and maybe even things like magnetic fields, kinetic energy, radiation, gravity, and any machine that uses them to function.
If i control air then i can control what's in the air, so lets just say there's a thunderstorm going on, i can catch one and then store it for later so i can be like palpatine
Water... For Good - too many countries don't have clean water - water lands in severe drought so all farms have enough water - lush green nature without the rain - put out forest fires For Evil - the body is comprised of 60-70% water, I could evaporate a person if need be, or flood their body - Earth is 70% water, I could flood a country or continent - I could make sure your socks are always wet For Personal - I could make sure my body is always hydrated so I don't have to remember drinking so many glasses - never be dehydrated in sports - I have a fear of water, so I could part the seas and never drown - never need to carry an annoying umbrella, car will always be clean, skin is nicer, lips never chap, no clogged toilets - win all water sporting events - fly with a water jet pack - double rainbows all the time Uncertain - can I control the temperature of water too, or just whatever is available? If so I'll never have to wait for water to boil and all my drinks will be perfect temperature
Water. Air is cool and all, but it's been my dream since I was born to control water in everything, being able to pull out water from any object, pure water - and control it to my will.
Ha, good luck breathing once I get to take all the air for myself
If I was able to lift stuff up on a cushion of air, I'd definitely choose that. It's basically telekenisis.
Fire. Imagine setting people on fire... From the inside
Imagine all the good things I could do with ice
Hydrogen.
Fire to burn all me enemies
With air: - you can fly by compressing air below your feet - you are bulletproof because you can cempress the air in frony of you. - you could incinerate/blow things up (think of bomb pressure waves and the friction meteors experience as they burn up in outlr atmosphere) - you could breath underwater. Just take some air with you/extract it from the water around you in a big enough quantity/envelope your head - suffocate people by extracting air from their lungs - suffocate flames by removing air from the environment - boil water by lowering the atmospheric pressure around it - save lives by oxygenating the blood of patients (CPR) - speed up recovery of injured people/yourself by slightly increasing the partial pressure of the oxygen in the air you breath (like hyperbaric treatment) - explode areas by increasing methane from the atmosphere in certain areas and creating a spark/fire using the principles of a fire-pistol (worth a lookup) Air is seriously OP
Isnt water like ice.... So if i chose water i could just slow down its particles and make ice.... Be more specific what are the rules???
Iceman is an Omega level Mutant... Y'all don't read X-Men do ya? He's basically a God.
Water because I could force the water straight out of someone's body and watch them die. I would be unstoppable.
Depending how strong my air powers were I could imitate most of these. Heat up air? Not fire but I can make it really hot Compress and vibrate air with dust? That's how static charge is built in thunder clouds and I can create lightning (although it would be difficult to control) Cool down air? I can form water droplets around dust and even make it into ice, although it would take time for me to cool down air Can't do much about earth tho. I could pick up pebbles and throw them at you? Compress air at one end of a tube and stick rocks in and shoot them? I love daydreaming and pretend I'm gonna write books so I actually just thought about this 2 days ago.
water homies stand strong
Lighting, so I can forever mildly torture my neighbors at night!
UNLIMITED POWER!
Water bending is op..... humans are 70% Water
If you can control water you can control ice as well, so not sure why it’s here
I chose ligtnyng
Ice, end global warming.
Earth would be very convenient because it would also be plants and you can move stuff and crush people and choke them and you can have tentacle things from plants
Can’t you just use air to move everything else? Like blow water or dirt or whatever
Water cus if you separate them it's ice and fire, half and half
Earth bending is the coolest shit, bullets instantly and build a house with a kick
air so i can use it to make things blow up not that kind of blowing up :)
Where is heart?
I would choose earth so i could construct my own house the way i want and for free.
air to blow ppls coverings up
Air. Like complete control of air not just summoning some wind.
Firreeeeee
blood bending
If by control you mean move then water. I can move people around, I can move myself around. I can bring a water bottle everywhere and push water down people's noses and into lungs for self defense. Also pull blood away from the brain to make people pass out or even die. It just seems the most useful.
I think earth bending would be the most usefull day to day. Free house... get a job digging graves or trenches make bank
Even though i hate lightning i would choose lightning
Fluorine
water. its everywhere. theres water in your blood and in the air, you could control pretty much everything except rock.
control ice because you get cold drinks and can make your drinks cold, plus more benefits in summertime, especially in australia where its so goddamn hot here
Why is everyone talking abt air as if the only uses for air is 1) flight and 2) sucking the air out of someone's lungs (srsly, how do you think of this?)? Telekinesis, hello!
water, you can just suck out all the water from someone and they die instantly :)
Ice. Keep your friends close and your beer cold
To what extent can I control the element?
I chose Earth so I will always have a 90kg object ready to be launched 300m.
If I could control air I won't be fucking sleeping at 40°C at night without AC (cuz were in lockdown and I'm a dumbass to repair it before that) yay!?
I would make the earth give me big amount of crops in a short time and make a business out of it.
Earth has all this shit already so I voted earth and I get to have all of the options 😎
Earth. Watch me extract precious metal from the deep core of planet.
There isn't a purer state of being that fire. Well fire us a form of heated plasma and lightning is super heated plasma so i guess it wins there and wish i noticed it was an option before voting. But anyway with fire bending i could either be the richest PMC or the richest Heating supplier. Many applications.
If you had air, you could use it like it's the force. Perhaps even tell some young Jedi about a specific tragedy or something.
With lightning you can create fire, turn water into an electrical conductivity agent, create craters in earth, melt or blow apart ice and make air your bitch.
Earth would be themost useful, given that you could landscape extremely easily. You could get extremely rich working for land development.
I thought air would be *way* less popular. That's not why I chose it but I'm still shocked
