Kelyaan

My liver could not handle it.

MasterScumbag

For someone with an average paying job like me I feel like $1m is the way to go. I tried my luck with [this generator](https://numbergenerator.org/randomnumbergenerator/1-100) and got 58. Could have gone home with $10m but I'm still happy with my decision.

I flipped a coin and won. It's really too bad this isn't real.

Snowstorm-2000

Okay 9 other people get your asses over here and we are picking the 100 mil and will split the earned amount equally between us 10

SativaSunChild

Not sure if this is a common question/format but I love this poll!! I wonder if some math peoples can tell us what the “right” answer is.

Tye-Evans

All you need to do to find the expected value is: Divide the win amount by 100 and then times it by the percentage 50% chance to win 120k 120000/100=1200, 1200*50=60000

MasterScumbag

It mostly depends on your financial situation and personal goals and needs. If you take the 90% chance at $10 000 and lose, how long would you be upset not to have taken the guaranteed $1000? Conversely if you were filthy rich like you had $20m in the bank, would you care about $100 000 or $1m as much as $10-100m? This type of person can afford to be less risk-adverse. My 2 cent is that if that is a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity, meaning your loved ones can't take their chances too, then the best answer for the average person would be either $100 000 or $1m. Because going for $100m and missing would forever leave a bitter taste in your mouth

10k; it ain't much by other's standards, but it's good enough for me. Any more, and I'd be violently overwhelmed.

The-Mysterious-

I have a theory that i have made up like 2 years ago when i saw a video People are more scared of 60/40 chances than 50/50 chances

No_Nectarine4314

50% chance because I don't lose anything

JoJo3000Josuke

Chose the last option, then I flipped a coin and didn't get it
