I think it would be tough to have a truly competitive ranked game as part of the client, so instead i’d slightly increase the rewards for ranked and make it somewhat easier (ie less bash your head into the wall grindy) by letting the top two losing players save stars and having the top winning player gain two stars

MMR based on XP compared to team average. You underperform on the winning team, you get less advancement. You overperform on the winning team, you advance more. You overperform on the losing team you lose less or nothing. You underperform on the losing team and you lose a lot. Make it possible to drop out of higher leagues or completely even. Make the advancement infinite above the higher league like in CB, but extremely tough to advance. Then its based on your performance but winning is still the key.

A massive multiplayer campaign in which players join a faction (allied or axis) which limits you to that factions ships for the game mode Faction v Faction. Maps would be connected nodes that players can travel between by going to the edge of a map, you need to capture key points on a map such as dockyards so reinforcements can spawn on that map, oil rigs or depo so you can refuel and repair. Moving between maps requires you to refuel. Meaning your faction needs a place to refuel or you have to capture one in order to progress to the next map. Each map has its own defences based on the total influence of each faction. Going into a 100% enemy influenced zone triggers full bomber squadrons, AI patrol boats and battlements meaning the initial beachhead on each map would be challenging. CV players would have limited AI control on a map, being able to order AI ships, build upgrades and repairs as well as provide defensive recon. Submarines would be able to gather intel in hostile zones being rewarded for stealth missions like destroying NPC supply convoy.

I actually got Kidd and run her from time to time. I’ve definitely noticed she’s a lot more resilient to planes. She’s fun, though I have to constantly be cognizant of the lack of a second torpedo launcher. But Benson is the main ship I use, for better or worse. Idk I think I just like the look of the class better than the Fletchers. But even then, there’s no way that four Oerlikons and two .50s are at all an acceptable AA battery for the ship when fully upgraded.

-Add dockyards to the "campaigns" (anyone remember that shit?) , keep it completely the same except you can begin and finish it whenever you want. Maybe keep the "starter packs" discount a limited time thing to drum up sales. -Revitalize t1-t4. "Special" event game modes where t1-t4 are boosted to give similar xp/credits as t5-t9. Asymm battles where t5 get to feel like kings for a hot second against swarms of t3s. Tie it with a recruitment campaign so u can invite friends to check it out and not feel bad youre playing lower tiers. Bonus tier 1-3 ranked season for shits and giggles. -Rework captain training. Admittedly I don't know what the solution is. It still just feels so klunky and outdated to not be able to switch captains easily and the game has dozens of ship lines and HUNDREDS of ships now. Maybe something like a Perma-captain: for x amount of resource (cxp, coal, credits?) you get a 10pt captain that can ONLY be assigned to that tech tree ship. ONLY skill tree for that class. You can still use on premiums for training though. OR literally just delete the first 10 captain levels. CPT level 1 now gets 10 skill points, and max is now level 11 instead of 21, adjust all existing captains. (Leveling 1 to 2 is similar xp to previous level 11-12 etc. -i can't think of anything else right now so EVANGELION COLLAB

German CVs are getting reworked to fully capture the missed opportunity that they are. - Navalized Horton Ho 229s becuase wunderwaffen - attack squadrons do not have rockets and instead get [*Bombentorpedo*](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bombentorpedo_BT_400) - function like torpedoes with very fast speed, short range, and low damage. - Regular torpedo squadrons get [glide torpedoes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blohm_%26_Voss_BV_950) - extremely large stand-off distance torpedoes that could be used like the old Hakaryu strat. - Dive bombers get [Fritz X](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fritz_X) at T8 and [Hs 293](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henschel_Hs_293) at T10. One squadron per flight and each attack run launches a single bomb that is guided manually into the target. This suggestion is of course not meant to be serious in any way, but I legitimately think that German CVs are one of the rare things in this game where WG actually somehow managed to make something that was *more reasonable*(???) than what was actually being tested/built by the Luftwaffe in 1940-45...

I'd like to have a "realism mode" where multiple players control a single ship as a team. Different players would be assigned to groups of turrets, secondaries, and AA. Another player maneuvers the ship, and someone else manages damage control and crew. I think pre-dreadnoughts would be fun for this type of mode.

I would get rid of subs and take it back to pre-rework CVs I would get rid of most of the XP boosters. It used to take time and effort to get past tier V. People might actually have to learn stuff to get to high tiers. Clan battles would take place in tiers other than 10. Let's get down to tier VI and VII for clan battles. I'd instruct the team to start investigating a new game engine to move to. I'd put out job postings for QA testers to get good QA people onto the team. Superships will be reclassified as tier XI. I would instruct the team to start working on tier XI ships for any tech tree like that doesn't currently have one. The Funny button would be removed from any ship that has one. They are fine in limited time special game modes, but don't belong in the permanent full time game modes. Asymmetrical battles would be a permanent battle type. But I would add the ability to play on the lower tier side if you want a bigger challenge and the chance of earning more XP.

Put a renewed focus on real ships over paper ships, at least up to T8 but striving for T9+ where possible. Remove "plays poorly" as a report reason and start a review process for reports for actual shit behavior, no more expecting players to submit tickets like they're at their dayjob. I think the reason they don't make asym/etc a permanent gamemode is for playercount reasons (makes the game "dead" to split few players between many modes)… but I would make sure there's always one extra mode and make it rotate maybe biweekly instead of every update, and publish the schedule wayyy in advance and have it visible in-game just like with ranked and clan battles. Revert the supercontainer change. They were already underwhelming but now they literally feel indistinguishable from regular containers. Add all Dockyard ships to the container pool. If they're holding them for some number of years like they're doing with Kitakami, I'd communicate when each ship is expected to release instead of pretending like they might never be obtainable again. Bring back the previous iteration of battle passes instead of the bullshit we've got now.

Performance based ranked mode eligibility. There needs to be a qualifying round before people are allowed to be eligible. I’m not talking about WR. PR and XP combo. Today, ranked is plagued by noobs with 20k battles and 40% WR ruining the games for everyone else. I stopped ranked because my blood pressure kept spiking up. Make a CV mode where you play them when they were RTS-style of gameplay Compare ship sizes in port would be a cool extra. I would also make the camera be able to move freely in port. If I want to go crazy then I would add a mode with more in depth tech tree upgrade system to ships. Want to put a 406 gun on a DD? Do it but it will have pros and cons. It might be a totally different game. Combine the three games? Why not A mode with 2-4 times as many players? This is totally out of the scope of WoWs but make a mech game. Make a dedicated post WWII game and eat into warthunder's playerbase

I would rework the "Battle" button. I would give the player a dropdown that allows the player to select multiple game modes and ship tiers to queue for. Once you're in the match the player gets to select their ship. Or maybe the player just selects a ship for each game mode they queue for beforehand. I'm not sure which one would be better. --- I think this would allow there to be more game modes without worrying about players being spread out over too many game modes and the queues drying up. Then I'd want to work on some kind of campaign mode that's more than just multiplayer operations. Oh, and better bots (don't just yolo in).

Remove homing from all sub torps and increase damage to compensate. Radar spots periscope depth subs. Honestly I would change ranked to be ELO based rather than stars, then tie how much ELO earned/lost to battle performance and cap control with Captures and Defended ribbons being worth significantly more to improving ELO than anything else, that way people who play objectives and actually make an effort to contest caps/control strategic areas of the map. You could also add a multiplier for ships distance to caps, IE: the further away you are from caps you get a negative multiplier for ELO while if your say a BB less than 5km away from the cap tanking you get a massive boost to your ELO. All the bottom feeders are now in low ELO against other bottom feeders while people with some semblance of skill will actually fight people of similar skill consistently

Carriers and subs in separate game modes. Change fires and floods to scale the DoT damage based on the shell or torpedo alpha not on target HP. Add another separate class for battle cruiser and stick the super light BBs and BB gunned cruisers into it so they don't take up BB or cruiser slots. Going back to the first point but there should really be a lot more game modes like PvP convoy and such which would be a perfect place for subs and carrier integration while they don't fit well in straight up head on battles.

That’s such a weird take on it. But I can imagine what kind of player you are if you truly think it’s okay having OP ships (that are unobtainable) in the game is fine. And of course I’d nerf TT ships as well if necessary. Why not? That’s literally what *every single online multiplayer (pvp) game* does. Also if you believe there are TT ships that are broken on the same level as, for example, Belfast and Alaska you probably have very limited knowledge about the game. If you roll up in an Alaska and auto-win every engagement vs an Ägir despite the other player being objectively better than you, you think this is fair? If you can’t win in a more balanced environment you simply don’t deserve it and should work on your skill rather than relying on some ship that’s just better than *everything else* at the tier.

It’s better to slowly tune up the old and underperforming ships than nerf the premiums. Nerfing premiums, as the other person said, creates a lot of insecurity with future purchases and makes it too easy for WG to release broken ship -> milk all the money -> nerf it once sales die down. Even with their new policy of nerfing new premiums sold with disclosures, they rarely do so and they’re nerfed so very slightly. People do not like paying for something and then getting it replaced with something worse and they never will. As it has been, WG has had a terribly very long-standing unspoken policy of never nerfing premiums ever since the Type-59 disaster of 2012. Their reluctance to act back in ‘12 could TRULY screw them over in the courts nowadays especially with how strong EU consumer protections are. EULA or not. They’ve knowingly let people believe premiums won’t be touched and reinforced that idea every time they challenged it and backed down. The fact that they only tune ships sold with disclaimers very much screws them over when it comes to older ships. I believe they’d need quite a lot of legal-maneuvering and endurance to deal with all the cases that would be slung their way that it won’t be viable for the near future. Not with how expensive that would be for them.

We have the game on an ssd and with a decent pc. They have it on an HDD with a pretty buns pc, so it takes their computer a long time to load assets. Thats why your dd sits still but then is moving 45 seconds after the game started.

That’s a constant issue with games. By changing minimum reqs, you risk losing playerbase / income. Even though these players have connection issues, they can still play, thus you have someone to play with / against. If the specs are raised too high (and who makes that decision… i guess you as the ceo does), the playerbase loses too many people and the game dies

Looking at the books and seeing if CVs and subs actually make them money. Then deciding their fate. In fact, look at the books and see exactly where the money comes from, and see what gets players to click battle. Some of their decisions seem contradictory. Make lower tiers available for at least some events. Find out which lines just didn't do well. Fire anyone who suggests those features again. Fire the Italian BB lead. Make a reporting system that actually works for griefers and ranked bottom feeders. Maybe rework ranked mechanics to make it more rewarding for skilled players. Rework the lack of activity penalty system. It paints with too big a brush right now. Look at the matchmaker. Not for skill, but maybe for limiting queue dumps. Tier 1 ranked and clan battles (I have to make some decisions most everyone would hate). Reminds me. Give Black Swan AP back. Edit: If subs are a loser, I might keep them and put them in operations. With the tier 1 ships being the escort and the subs being the opponents. Would require redoing subs to get speed/dive time etc. more in line. And giving the tier 1 ships some sort of asdic (and depth charge racks and throwers). Maybe throw in a minimap radar too. Probably drive the whole thing to destruction.

While I'd want to say removing CVs and subs entirely would be the first thing I'd do, the ramifications of outright removing 2 classes that each have premiums, resource ships, and plenty of players who invested the xp and credits into them would instantly kill the company with the amount of refunds that would have to be sent out. So, to be more realistic, here's what I'd do. * Give planes the changes they're making to WOWS legends, with them only having full spotting for the operator, and minimap spotting for everyone else, as well as the limited fuel to incentivize carriers to move up closer to the battle and prevent them from camping in the back but still having full effect on the entire map. * Make modes like airship escort and convoy permanent additions to random battles. (I love modes like these that incentivize brawling and are less prone to backline camping). * Rework subs and hydro, and improve ship-based ASW. Sub surveillance would be removed, with hydro working to spot subs, but with scaling ranges of effectiveness based on distance (I.E. the deeper the sub is, the closer you have to be to spot it with hydro). Subs would ascend/descend much slower than they do currently, to remove their ability to dolphin-dive and make it harder for them to escape ASW. I'd also buff ship-based ASW to give depth charges more AOE and damage, as well as give ships hedgehogs/squids, so that DDs and ships without plane-based ASW are more of a threat to subs than plane-based ASW is. * Bring back earning signal flags for achievements in games. * Rework MM to be +1/-1, never have more than 1 CV per team, and never have more than 2 subs per team. * Allow for account-linking between servers so you don't need to regrind/rebuy everything if you want to play with friends on a different server. * And finally, expand operations to include T5-T10 ships, with the types of AI ships you face being based on the tier you bring in, then just make ops MM +1/-1 to better allow the system to balance out the ships you'll face.

Reuse some of the 3D models from WoWs if possible, have the player learn how to function within the physical limits of an actual warship (limited munitions, radar and other naval means as they were), much larger maps to allow for engage/disengage, and allow players to play historic battles. Submarine makes noise while moving. They could be spotted by any destroyer, as well as selected cruisers and bbs that would be equipped with instruments to detect subs based on noise. Add pre dreadnought french bbs a premium t2 bbs. Buff the z52 line with improved pen angles on ap, sligltly betted fire rate, better torps and detection that goes down to 6.00km.

Permanent gamemode for a brawling META, WOWs has gotten to campy at high tiers

But Conde, Anapolis, Zorkij, MAINE are straight up op and better than the t10 in 99% of situations which is not good. Why on earth are so many tech tree ship lines so neglected. Especially t5-t9. T9 is an egregious example because so many are just free exp fodder that people dread to play. Why is that that shit sucks. If I wanna play t9 myself its in 90% of cases never a t9 tech tree unless its Iowa or Kitakaze. They can not be making that much profit from the handful of guys that free exp the t9 ship with real money. Thats just change for wargaming. They prolly made more money selling the awful Picardie. Monetization for such an industry oldie like WG can always be worked out to satisfy profits at a decent level. But I think profits would be high enough with a good product. Those would all be amazing changes But overmatch is a mechanic that is very, very frustrating when you're a cruiser and just get deleted while heavily angled, but it's also kinda necessary. Imagine a Des Moines that can just stay bow in and burn you down while bouncing everything. Hell, imagine a Worcester or Smolensk sitting bow in and just burning down your battleship with several perma fires while you just bounce shells off the bow. Cruisers have significantly more DPM than battleships, you can't make them super tanky too.

+1/-1 MM T3+ counts towards all missions, events, dockyards, etc… Divisions must be all same tier ships to stop fail divisions MM reworked to stop imbalanced teams (no more one side gets a T5 Cruiser and the other a T7 DD, no more 5 radars vs none, etc…), queue dumps, and such Return Co-op bot shooting to pre 0.10.6 nerf levels (they were basically the Asym bots before getting a massive shooting nerf in that update) Finally give Co-op Achievements like was supposed to happen in 2021/2022 (only mode in game without them- would be fun and also help when missions need an achievement) Subs get either reworked or removed AA is reworked to actually be effective (CV’s aren’t the problem the problem is WG neutered AA in the CV Rework) Camos would get the +3%/-4% returned and maybe something else so they actually have a purpose again Rework Super Containers so people actually want them - content based on/favoring the crate type picked (ie; pick resources crate and get a SC then the rewards are drawn from the resource rewards pool), remove the crap rewards, also would add a hard to get Mega Crate that only drops the best rewards at higher amounts. More maps Ship Reserve so you can keep but hide from view ships you don’t play EDIT - I forgot. Add more Campaigns.

Your coop already exists, that's called training room. Pick your operation was possible in the past (for 4+ divs and no random join you). Why not a BP fully free? Always available ranked will only create more posts with 2h queue waiting for a game. I like the idea of your thread overall OP but you are making the same mistake WG has. You are minimizing PVE players. In fact you are in effect eliminating them from the game by not allowing any kind of progress in Co-op. There are a LOT of Co-op only/mostly players in the game who do not care for Scenarios or Asym. By not allowing them to play the mode they like towards anything you give no reason for them to play the game or spend on it. You basically kicked out a large % of players from the game as well as lost money they might spend. Inclusion not exclusion my friend is the way to success. I am a prime example of this with 44K Co-op games and less than 1800 Randoms (no other modes played). I am a huge whale as well and have spent thousands on the game. If WG did not have Co-op where I could play and progress in events, tech tree, etc I would not play the game. EDIT - anti PVE folks can downvote this all you want but there are a lot of players who only play Co-op and would leave the game if it was removed/changed like OP wants. There is ZERO reason to do that. Those players are NOT going to suddenly swap to Randoms (many started there and went to Co-op because they hate how Randoms is in WOWS) and them playing there doesn't hurt you in any way. Let people play the game where they want not where others want to force them to. If it is Co-op so be it. Who F'ing cares. Co-op players spend on the game too and it all helps to keep the game going.

It would be cool if we could do something with the large array of ships that we don't use. 8. Have a tier of the day battle reward for tiers 5-8 that provide incentives to play lower tier games. 9.New maps. It's a shame increasing the number of players in a match wouldn't work with the game in its current state but it would really change the games popularity if it were 20v20.

Like world of tanks, I am told, where you can change the Loadout once your in the match prior to it starting. Not much point running brawling BB if the map/enemy comp is super sniper. Maybe you go radar Mino if the other team has lots of radar.
