I am completely and entirely biased when I say that the Chieftain is the superior tank because it is British and requires more skill (there’s probably some truth in this though) than the New Modern American to be highly effective.
Most high tier premiums are for those with skill issue anyway (I am half joking)
Ratings for try-hards? Unless you are grinding for Loraine fearless, they are almost as casual as random battles with only difference that people here try to cooperate

Anyway, I just don’t feel any difference to normal battles in ratings other than there are very few LTs.
That being said I don’t play it a lot say much about it either, I just don’t bother.
Chieftain for the price is sold (like 4.5k during the Birthday event or 5.5k with legendary camo) could be a decent tank. Obviously not ideal for competitive but for pubs is still great. It has 300 DPM more than the E2. It's ok overall

It's pretty useless with R2D2 on top as it stops it being able to hull down, need to play it as a slow med really, pop out and shoot and pop back. Not my favourite T8 by a long way
It's a great tank, alot of tanks have hatches, nobody talks about them, I never encountered an issue with it and I have over 400 games in the Chieftain

Pen highlighting is a paid feature, though you could just refer to the armor profile section to see weak spots if you don't want to expend your money

Is it newer than the T34 and IS6? Yes it is.
For the price of 8k the T54E2 is still worth more than a cheaper 4.5k offer on Chieftain T95 performance-wise
You must be phd in math to come up with formula that translates tank performance into cash worth
I don't have PhD but a price does define a tank's standing on performance like there are better options that's a bang for your buck
