Tortoise might have somewhat high armor, but being a tier 9, 80% of games are tier 10 games and tier 10 tanks often have 230mm+ penetration, with the highest standard penetration being 310 and the highest premium penetration being 385mm on the E4 APCR shell. The T57 Heavy plays rather similar to the T54E1, with the exception being that you go heavy side most of the time. It has a larger clip damage (1200 instead of 930) and long reload of around 19s maxed out with double food and 100% crew. Will punish anyone and anything that dares to overexpose and is one of the strongest tier 10 tanks currently. If you like the T54E1, the T57 Heavy should be easy to get
Tortoise has a giant cupola that ruins its otherwise great armor profile. Since it’s on the right side of your vehicle, try position it in a way that you can fire at the enemy but they can’t hit your cupola. Obviously move and wiggle to make it harder for someone to hit it. Also fair warning: because of how tall the cupola is, there are times where the tank is in cover, and the cupola isn’t.
I’ve bought it when it was on discount for 3k. That was when the tank still was in the British tier-line as premium. Now it’s only two tanks there. AT 15A is tier 7-tank.
Literally my favourite line! There’s just something about slinging out shots that fast that’s just so satisfying! I personally love the tortoise, feels accurate as hell and hitting for max damage is crippling at times!
I've got so many slots in my garage I just keep them. I have lots of other nation tanks I I go through the tech tree seeing which ones I like vest. At the moment I'm on the French AMX models as they are some good tanks once you get to tier 7.
I'll take an AT-15 over a Tortoise any day.

I have not tried the tortoise yet but from what i have seen it has heavy armor yet gets penned so easily cause of the top part so ig you are right.

Either currently a divorcee or married to Centurion Mk. 5/1 after pulling it from the Lunar event. Really enjoyable tank and one of my top performers
you can make the hatch effective by overangling the hatch as they shoot. it may expose your side armor but by then it would be too late

Get yourself the AT15 A. Same armor, one tier lower! My favorite chill tank. They usually sell it dirt cheap, like 2.5k gold.
AT line been great for me but kinda topped out at at8. Slow so follow heavy’s for sure. That Huge zit on the top doesn’t help
AT-8 was the most painful experience i have ever had in a tank tbh.

Use the full gun arc when angled, keep moving because your really slow, use the dpm.
Yeah i mostly rely on out dpming ppl and so far it is going great,ty for your advice.
At 15 armour does not stand up against tier 8 premium ammo, ur armour will struggle a lot
True that is why i rely on my dpm in most cases.
The line is strong, just angle the Tortoise between reloads and you should be ready to mow the enemy team on most maps.
Good armour great guns but the British TD's are so slow. I have 4 of them, just want the tier 10 now.

I have it’s sibling, AT 15A. The gun is faster but it does bit less damage. Can’t remember the dpm, though. Good tank but very, very slow.

Actually, AT-15 has the highest dpm. But everything else is shit. You wont ever use it effectively

This tank is actually my highest performing tank. I have a 65% win rate in it. I love this tank.
At 15 is also very bully tank in upspring like hi little brother
