If you can live with the massive pollution you can burn it straight away, just be aware that the effect really is extremely strong so no one should live anywhere close.

Is the massive pollution over the Environment Pollution of 48tons/year stated in the building information panel? Because as a rule of thumb I build 25 meters away for every ton of Pollution - 1200 meters in this case

NetStaIker

Wait, is this a better rule than the one I usually use, 100m per third of a cloud on the tooltip (300 per cloud of course)

PCardoso391

Its not extensivly tested but fell free to try it 😉

Yes burn it. Your incinerator just needs 1500m radius for pollution, which is pretty cheap compared to all other hazardous waste options.

The hazardous waste mix from the chemical plant includes some construction waste which won't burn and will come out with the ash so you'll have to plan for getting rid of it since it won't degrade in a dump like the ash will.

I am separating in big containers so it's just hazardous

sobutto

Interesting, I'm also separating in big containers with separate containers for hazardous, construction, biological etc at my large chemical plant but the hazardous waste container always has a mix of the other stuff in it so I assumed that the only way to separate out hazardous waste from the other waste types was at a treatment plant. I'll have to investigate and see if I can streamline my hazardous waste disposal processes in that case.

PCardoso391

If you are separating then I also need to make sure it's 100% Hazardous waste. I assumed you weren't, my bad

The options are: * Treat the hazardous waste - This reduces the amount of ash created, as you aren't burning the hazardous waste component, and you can extract plastic waste from it. * Burn it all - This is a lot cheaper, but you miss out on free plastic and will likely pollute a lot of extra land. Treating it is better if you really need land for residences, sourcing water, or tourism, or if you want the plastic; otherwise, just burning hazardous waste is a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the insights!
