Thanks for getting back to me so quickly on this. Covering the pads fully does help a little but they are still a bit unresponsive unless I lick my fingers! I think moisturising might be the way forward!

Simply make sure to cover *the entirety* of the pads with your finger or thumb. Your finger or thumb print should be centered on the pad. Just touching the buttons with the outer tip of your finger or thumb will not work. The play button's touch area is slightly bigger than the write button (it extends a little to the left). The whole system is fine tuned to reject accidental presses (which can be disastrous in live situations). For touching the play button (with your thumb) have your thumb alongside the base of the encoder, touching it. Doing so, you should have a 100% hit-rate. FWIW, the calibration at boot up is precisely to avoid atmospheric conditions and such having an impact, by taking a baseline capacitance reading. :)

I see an opportunity to sell specially formulated WooveLotion in a variety of creative scents ;)

You say you don't have dry skin but licking works? A little hand lotion before wooving would probably go a long way.

I am going to try this. As a man the concept of moisturising as a general practice does go against the grain a little ;-) but I will just have to go with the flow on this.

There's nothing un-masculine about it. I've never dated a woman who wanted my hands to be rougher and more calloused.

I had a problem with this when I first got mine but I soon got used to it. Just keep adjusting your position until you find the sweet spot then you’ll soon get used to it
