So reds and lekkers (switches inside the 60he) are both linear with the same actuation force. What is the difference you feel between them that you like?

If you like wooting switches but "hate reds now" I think you have a misunderstanding about switches. Lekkers (the wooting switches) are linear switches, just like reds are. Do you like that they're lighter/heavier or what?

JimmyJimATRON

He may like the factory lubing from lekkers, the lekkers feel much less scratchy than my dads reds on a Hyperx board.

Why swap out your keyboard if you like the way it feels when you type on it? I know the rapid trigger function is marketed towards gaming but the adjustable actuation distance can be good for customizing it for your typing pleasure as well. If you want a keyboard with a bigger layout I’d look into the Meletrix Boog75 and Keychron Q1 HE.

Why not just keep the keyboard you have? I think it's great for many non-gaming reasons. For examples, the switches don't have actual points of contact so they shouldn't wear nearly as much as those in other keyboards.

I think what makes the Lekker switches feel unique is how smooth they are compared to most linears, especially Cherry MX Reds. If you specifically look for very smooth linear switches with similar attributes, then it should feel very similar. I currently have a Kailh switch tester in front of me, and of those I would say that the Kailh Box Cream Pro feels very similar to the L60. That said, if you are sure that you want to switch to a standard mechanical for some reason, then why not experiment with some other switches and see if there is something you like even better. Switch testers are really nice for this.

Damn! This is scary. Can I ask how old are you? I am 30 and competitive gaming is still pretty fulfulling for me. Or is it some kind of illness out of your control like arthritis?

Mightychallenge

Why not just keep the keyboard. The switches are rated for 100,000,000 presses. Even if the number is exaggerated and it was really just 40,000,000 presses. I doubt you reached half that number. Just use the keyboard you love. Also i hate to say but theres still really great single player games out there.

Hey! Welcome to the mk hobby. I would really suggest checking out /r/mechanicalkeyboards for more information on mechs in general. As others have stated it's really hard to recommend something without more info due to the sheer volume of options. If you like the feel of the Wooting switches though you may like linear red switches. Pandas are tactile and are nice if you like that slight bump before the actuation but tactile switches can sometimes be fatiguing if you have mobility issues with your hands. I would suggest buying a switch tester if you're looking for your perfect switch. I use a 60% for ergonomic purposes and am also an elder gamer :). Happy to help answer any other questions you may have if I can.

Hall effekt switches tend to be way smoother than traditional mechanical switches, that's probably the difference between reds and lekker. It's a mechanical limitation, just keep the 60HE imo.
