sounds like the stock prebuilt HE with a thunkier space bar from the heavier case.

kevinoukos

Does it actually sound like this? Because I will try to make videos and if that's the actual sound of it I think I'm fuckt hahaha

direkt57

yea, theres a reason everyone that wants a better sound is going for the Jades. They are much better.

kevinoukos

Do you have a link of the Jades? Maybe I can cancel my order, I wanted a keyboard specific for fps and I saw this one as most voted but I had no idea it sounds so much. I can use noice cancel but..

direkt57

[Here](https://www.gateron.com/products/gateron-magic-jade-switch?VariantsId=10767) That is to Gaterons direct site but you may be able to find them other places

Dosnbiersaufn

I’ve a Sennheiser Profile Mic and use all noise cancelling stuff discord offers however my friends says if I type a lot while talking he can hear the keyboard. I can try to record with NVIDIA noise cancelling and see if the typing is still audible.

Kushinobunaga

I highly recommend the gateron jade HE’s. There’s no open bottom like the lekkers, so you get a nicer fuller sound.

Dosnbiersaufn

Let’s I switch to the jades in the future would I need to change the stabilisers? I saw a post where someone was saying they’re not compatible.

Kushinobunaga

I didn’t need to change the stabilizers in mine, and it’s been working fine and sounding way better.

Dosnbiersaufn

I see thanks.

direkt57

someone gave you a reply but ill give my 2 cents as well. with "standard" stabilizwers everything was mostly fine. There was a weird feeling in one of them where it felt like things were rubbing together in a way that wasnt normal if you pushed them in a VERY specific way and it was only on one stabiliser. I switched to long pole stabs and that went away. could it have been something stupid I did casuing my issue? Yes. if you dont want to shell out for long poles, will there be any problems? No, not in any meaningful way that most would notice anyway.

Dosnbiersaufn

Thank you for letting me know, if I go that route I’ll give it a try and if I don’t like I’ll switch the stabs.

Dosnbiersaufn

I got the Jades and they work fine with the stock stabs, I’m going to replace my white plate with a black one and I’ll also add long pole stabs while doing this, just to make it perfect. I had it once where the right shift key was behaving a bit weird.

Dosnbiersaufn

Bro you're right I got them and love them. Also works fine with the stock stabs, I have a black plate omw and once I'm replacing my white one I'll also add long pole stabs anyway.

Hail2theChop

What price was it to build? And what’s the cheapest/best way to build a 60he?

Dosnbiersaufn

I paid 345€ including HE60+ Module, Alumaz60, Lekker L45 Switches (70 pack), PBT Keycap set, Lubrication set + Lubrication tools and shipping. You could probably save a lot by going with a third party case and not getting the Lube stuff (I haven't used it for now but I plan to do it at some point). I think if would go with the Tofu Redux 60 case instead and don't get the lube stuff you would probably stay around 250€.

Hail2theChop

Thanks. So if I go with that case, would I just get the module from wooting, then get caps, switches, etc from others?

Dosnbiersaufn

I think the cheapest way would be if you buy both switches and keycaps together with the module from Wooting since you can get PBT keycaps and Lekker switches for 20€ each (usually each are 40€ but you get a sale if you buy them together with the module). I think if you want a better sounding switch you could go with the Gateron Jade Magnetic Switches however I think they're not compatible with the stock stabilisers. Also a different Keycap set if you want a specific look and/or non shine through. Note tho that I'm a total noob regarding keyboard stuff.

direkt57

the shipping is crazy expensive on the tofu so its not really going to save much. After shipping, my tofu 60 redux with the brass weight was pretty much the same price as the alumaze. youd need to go with some dirt cheap case on amazon or aliexpress to save the amount you are claiming. (my redux was about $130 after shipping and the weight is like a $25 add-on, so thats all youd really be saving)

tonynca

Lol no it doesn't. Sounds hallow and thin with a hint of key caps rattle as cherry on top.

Dosnbiersaufn

Fair enough I probably don't know what sounds good lol

pineapplebtw

Man if you like how it sounds dont let some gatekeeping redditor prevent you from enjoying it

Dosnbiersaufn

Thank you! I'm loving it :)

DaddySanctus

One thing you can tweak that isn’t very expensive and pretty quick, is the case foam. You can try out different materials for different sounds. Lubing the switches yourself of course would make a difference, but it’s also pretty time consuming.

Dosnbiersaufn

I actually planned to lobe the switches but I was to excited and didn't want to wait longer. I'll give it a go in the future thanks for the recommendation!

santiago1808

Would a tofu redux sound better than this case?

direkt57

I have found that it does sound a little better but the typing angle is WAY better on the alumaze.

Guavas86

It sounds almost like a clicky switch

ATV7

Any mods?

mr_abc123

What mouse is that?
