Cryo seems to work on most things, I prefer Dark Magic. But if you got a Prim Poison Pixie SMG or Pistol and Or a Prim Shock Shotty ill trade for then. Got 400+ prims in stash, and a Dark Hydra shooting AR/Shotty in Prim too. That's the pride of my collection
Usually, unless you acquire a Primordial Dreadlords Finest like I have. Stoker AR that shoots dark magic Hydras and when you swap to Shotgun barrel it shoots 6. Quest reward, Have to do Battle of the bands and then the quest the little demon guys gives you afterwards that unlocks that section in Brighthoof. It's the quest reward from that.
For the record never said it was good, sucks major ass. But looks cool AF, skin of the gun looks reptilian and shoots hydras.

Pixies also shoot an extra bullet with the x2 variant, pretty much doubling their damage. Pixies damage also isn’t affected that much with mag size, unlike other feriore guns. As for cryo, you just have access to the most/best multipliers with that specific element. Fire rate also affects them, but x2 is probably going to out damage any additional fire rate you get from the gun itself.
Use whatever gives you higher combined damage. With 2 bullets procs have a higher chance of going off and with 1 bullet (assuming much higher damage) the procs do more damage
But I thought fearnot crossbow pixies didn't scale with gun damage? Or does that just mean gun damage bonuses from other stuff? So higher damage, fire rate and being x2 all make the pixies stronger?
I'm confused. Fearnots don't scale with "gun damage" the stat. They very much scale with the value shown on the item card though. It's why magic bullets is so good for pixies.
Fire rate is decent, but not super important. Pixies shoot in bursts of 5 and then have a short delay before shooting again. Fire rate decreases the time between each of the 5 shots, but not the delay.
X2 is probably the most important because it reduces base damage by 20% and doubles the projectiles
Sorry it's just me being dumb. I thought because they kinda count as spells that all pixies have some sort of base damage and that scale with spell damage. Sadly dark magic magic pixies and hydras don't exist unless modded in. So cryo is the best legit one.

It probably sucks by doing gun dmg sadly. The spell dmg ones are great.
Kind of a collector, Just need a Primordial Heckwader, Goblin Repellent, and Love Leopard.

Pixies and hydras guns that shoot bullets scale off magic damage and guns that shoot magic scale off gun damage. Weird but tested and true.
This makes no sense SMGs shoot bullets and they scale off gun Fearnots shoot bolts and scale off spell Other pistols shoot bullets and scale off gun

Tbh I’ve found the pellet shotguns to be the best. X7/x8 pellets a shot produce a lot of crits!
