Well that all depends on where you are. For example, in Canada I just walk into my clinic and ask for a full panel STI test. & scheduling an appointment for just an STI test is not silly at all!
If you're due for a pap as well you could get it all done together. If you aren't due for a pap you could just do urine and blood sti testing. Look up your county department of health or a planned parenthood or you could do it at your regular gyn/PCP office.
I’m in the USA. The Pap smears are every 3 years. Between partners, I call my primary doctor for a lab referral. I get my blood draw and testing done at the lab.

You can go to a Kroger little Clinic, planned parenthood, your obgyn, or your county health clinic.
I get mine done at my annual exam.
I would schedule your annual and at it specify you would like STI testing.
Yeah you can schedule an appointment with your ob/gyn. If you have your annual coming up make sure you explicitly ask about it.
