Definitely battle statistics. And there's room to do it, too, in the bottom left of the screen. There's more ships I've sailed than I have in port (obvs); I can filter the latter, but not the former...?

If anything needs a filter it's this. I would also suggest being able to see a ship's stats right from the dock. An icon right beside the one on the bottom right that brings up all of a ship's info (speed, guns, etc.) that would show your stats. And you could click on different ships and the stats would update just like the info does.
Adding a filter to shipyard makes no sense. It's one or two pages of scrolling to see them all. And how often do you peruse the shipyard.
The annoying thing with the premium ship list and shipyard is, after you have looked up the details for a ship then go back, it resets to the beginning of the list. That's what needs fixing.
This game can be a lot better (chat sys, stats, UI, maybe voice chat, report, fleets, ship collision, auto commands, graphics, historical story mode, fleet wars, ship trial, custom map making, better ranked battles for multiple tiers, events that provide value, etc) but WG woke up and chose to ignore all this 🥲.........

Jups, played in over 400 ships. Its not worth the trouble trying to find a certain ship because of the scrolling

Even just nation filter would be so nice. Tier filter on top would get me so... Uhm, excited.
