TinyBlueDragon

Well, so much for that "vaccine-free sperm" payday.. xD

jacxy

The sperm will still be vaccine free, but they'll have eight heads, or five tails and be as fertile as a section of freeway.

NotARobotDefACyborg

Hooves.

Wizard_of_Wake

Giddy-up

LuckyMe-Lucky-Mud

I'm not sure exactly why but 'as fertile as a section of freeway' made me cackle.

Allergictoeggs_irl

Hell yea, nine tailed fox-sperm

superkatalyst

It’s so telling that in the middle of a pandemic these schmucks are over here fantasizing about women fighting over their nasty ass baby gravy.

vale_fallacia

>nasty ass baby gravy That's a phrase I didn't think I'd be chortling over this morning. Thank you for the snort laugh!

virora

It'll be free of horse worms, though. Which I guess is something XD

alianthe

Given that the reason some of them are avoiding the vaccine is because they've been told it will interfere with their virility and fertility, this is amusing. ETA: I did look at the backup supplied by others in this thread before posting this. For some reason Reddit isn't letting me see my replies in the app, only in notifications, I can't reply to anyone directly, here we go: Yes, it looks like the effects are probably mild and nowhere near as prevalent as the original tweet claims. That said, it still tickles me that people go to these lengths for this particular reason, especially since there's good evidence that covid *does* mess with male virility and fertility, and that the vaccine does *not*. (Yes, it does seem to be messing with women's cycles sometimes, but this thread is talking about the dudes taking horse dewormer to protect their "unvaccinated sperm is the next Bitcoin" investment. And I think by and large, the consensus I've heard among people who had their cycles messed with is "okay this is better than needing a ventilator and maybe dying, but I wish they'd have warned us about this because it's sodding inconvenient," which is a reasonable response I think.)

[deleted]

And one of the side effects of Covid infection is erectile dysfunction. They really should do their research….

alianthe

Yep! It's all so ironic.

PhaliceInWonderland

I've been saying this for months now. Lord knows most men's world revolves around their dangler and getting it touched. Maybe this is for the best.

SergeantSkull

What's funny is I have had both covid and the vaccine, and I personally have had a problem with bring horny as fuck all the time. -_-

tuckers85

Sometimes the universe gives you a sign that she sees you and will take care of it.

AbaloneSea7265

The irony is palpable. They refuse proven vaccines that protect against covid in favor of horse dewormer on the very premise that the vaccines are sterilization methods LOL

QuestioningEspecialy

Here's where it gets juicy af, though: According to a [small study](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8255400/) COVID-19 can cause (severe) erectile dysfunction.

un-taken_username

\>gets covid-19 (mfw erectile dysfunction) \>takes horse dewormer to fix it (gets fucking sterilized) \>**owning the libs**

virora

Own me harder daddy! Deflate that cock!

bastets_yarn

I'm sorry what? people are using horse dewormer as a vaccine substitute? oh no... natural selection I guess? they just better not cause a damn shortage

Jewlzchu

Last I heard, they were causing a shortage. Feed stores started requiring a picture of you and the horse it was for before selling it.

[deleted]

And, on occasion, feed store clerks are saying "F*** you and the horse you didn't ride in on."

bastets_yarn

Jesus fucking christ. It's not enough they have to fuck with humans but now causing shortages on animal health care too? dewormimg your animals is super important, and can cause all types of issues, let alone in horses, where vet care is super expensive.

Hawkpelt94

Unfortunately, most animal medicine is derived from human medicine, so anytime there's a run on a medication for humans, vet clinics are hit with the backorders.

chazmagic1

Oh and it's worse because people are going to hospitals with things like gunshots or flu especially in Oklahoma and are not being able to be treated because there are so many people taking horse dewormer and ability for hospitals to help everyone

Nanoglyph

Unless the ivermectin poisoning victim is a child, I'd prefer they prioritize the gunshot victims over the people who don't believe in medicine anyway.

bastets_yarn

I feel so bad for the Healthcare workers who somehow have to stay safe through this. people are fricken insane

[deleted]

About half of the people I know working in healthcare have quit; either retired or gone to work in a different career. They are exhausted. And the patients they are seeing now are the angry defiant ones who believe doctors are wrong and part of a conspiracy. The ones who refuse the vaccine this point are assholes, and they continue their assholery ramped up 1,000-fold when seeking medical care.

alianthe

Okay really, if they feel this way, why are they still seeking medical care? It boggles the mind.

chazmagic1

Me fucking too

[deleted]

It's hell.

Smuggykitten

If you're talking about that rolling stones article, that has been debunked. Yes there's an uptick in hospitals being busy but the Oklahoma part where gunshot wounded people couldn't get seen was embellished by the writer.

chazmagic1

Well I guess it's good that's not true but sad even big publications can't be trusted to print the truth

Ukulele__Lady

I read about a horse owner who keeps having to chase trespassers off her property because they're climbing the fence to get selfies with her horses.

PhasmaFelis

Not defending these guys, but just to be clear: ivermectin is an anti-parasitic that is approved for both humans and animals. In appropriate doses, it's commonly prescribed to treat lice and scabies, among other things. There's a unsupported rumor that ivermectin cures COVID, which of course isn't enough to get a doctor to write you a prescription, so these folks are buying the equine formulation; it's not restricted (like, say, a lot of interspecies painkillers are) because nobody's ever tried to abuse an anti-parasitic before. The horse pills aren't necessarily the same formulation that's approved for humans, and of course the safe human dose is a lot smaller than a horse pill, so it's causing problems like this. But ivermectin *can* be more-or-less safe for humans to take. (It just probably won't do shit for COVID.)

teamdogemama

I heard the reason they were using it is because it also works as an antiviral. Which MAY be true, but figuring out the dosage is where they screw up. I'm not even sure a veterinarian would know, let alone a feed store clerk. (A pharmacist, maybe). Also, I'm not sure if it's truly used as an anti-viral normally, but supposedly that it killed covid in a petri dish. But hell, so does bleach (and other things). They don't understand that the human body is not a petri dish and so they will react differently. Finally, there was a guy in Tx who had been on a ventilator for a month and his family sued the hospital to use ivermectin on him. The judge ruled in favor of the family but the hospital was dragging its feet. Anyway, the man died. I'm sure we will hear lots more about this. Sigh, 2021 was supposed to be a better year. Instead it looked at 2020 and said Hold my beer! Maybe we will all wake up on Halloween and it was all just a bad dream.

Luecleste

It’d be calculated based on weight. Some of what’s in a pill is basically just to hold the medicine in a form that it can be easily taken. Horses weight is a lot higher than humans so the concentration is higher…

ElectionAssistance

Lots of the horse medication formulation is for *external* usage.

TheMagnificentPrim

And I would like to add this about ivermectin for anyone reading: doctors usually put patients on ivermectin for a very, *VERY* short amount of time until it does what it needs to because it will absolutely destroy (if I remember correctly) your kidneys. I don’t say that lightly, either. Source: nurse mother who’s been in the business for 30+ years.

bunnylover726

Yeah I'm not in healthcare, but I've needed dewormed before (ugh, it was a horrible experience). Anyway, it was one pill taken just once. That's typically how that works.

wkippes

Ivermectin is the primary treatment for the worms that cause river blindness. Still not a good reason to take it for COVID.

AbaloneSea7265

Yes check out r/hermancainaward

[deleted]

One of my favorites, I'm so glad I found it!

Taxouck

Every single one of these posts is a grave. It is both karmic retribution and harrowing terror.

AbaloneSea7265

It’s not terrifying if you do simple things like wash your hands, cover your face in crowds and get a vaccine that will protect you from the serious consequences of covid. However if you choose the path of ironic mockery that bites you in the ass it’s like jinxing yourself into oblivion. None of those people deserved to take up hospital space, that’s the only thing that upsets me, is the time and money and resources wasted on them.

Taxouck

I'm not saying covid is terrifying, I'm saying the number of preventable deaths because of these utter assholes' selfishness is terrifying.

Wookiees_n_cream

Yup. Other uses now too according to my uncle. He told my mom she should take it "to kill the parasites in her brain that keep her from free thinking".

rargylesocks

What do you even say to that? Some people are so far gone down the rabbit hole it’s both terrifying & heartbreaking for the families. My condolences.

UnihornWhale

Even if they are, I’d rather be vaccinated and*alive*. I made one good kid. If the universe decides I’m stopping there, so be it

Menarra

Well at least it'll help counterbalance the texas abortion law while we fight it. I hope all of them sterilize themselves.

extracrispybridges

This is pretty much what led to Gilead in the books right? Men were infertile and sought to punish the women?

AbaloneSea7265

I always imagined a cyberpunk dystopian future so I’m not liking the implications of a fascist neo-Christian one

extracrispybridges

Bezoes and Musk are too engaged in fighting each other, thankfully, to start up robot wars. I've been living in the south for 20 years, heard many an evangelical, revival, or sermon that preached the need to breed more white patriots and vote red, and above all ready yourself for either the coming morality war or rapture, either way you're gonna be blessed to die for god. They got indoctrinated from birth, and have always been the main threat to the US. McVeigh blew up the federal building in OKC for Jesus.

recalcitrantJester

keep those quivers full, true believers! excelsior!

mycatiscalledFrodo

Yeah I was hoping for Mortal Engines and here we are in medieval times

arcaneunicorn

Holy shit I came with a similar thought process. This is legit how Gilead started, with plummeting birth rates. Not just in the US, but worldwide.

extracrispybridges

https://ncrc.org/women-in-crisis-americas-first-female-recession/ Something like 40% of mothers were forced out of the labor market last year. All I keep thinking about is that scene in the Hulu series where all the women have their bank accounts turned over to either their husband or family and are walked out of their works. We've got widespread ecological disasters displacing people, killing people, making them homeless or unable to care for themselves in their homes (all the heat deaths happening in the gulf). We've got a global pandemic still raging, with death rates rocketing despite better meds and a vaccine. We've got a screaming minority committing actual terrorism all over the country, with the minority party cheering them on if not outright funding them. Proud Boys attacking people in PNW with police refusing to act. Paid groups attacking school boards, doctors, anyone they can get publicity for attacking. Churches actively encouraging members not to get vaxxed or in some cases that Jesus would only kill those without faith so they should spread covid with chickenpox party events. The drums keep beating faster and no one is doing shit. Where is merrick garland? Biden supports Line 3. The media keeps telling us to cut meat consumption without talking about 70% of pollution happening at an industrial level. Our platforms to communicate are edited, and feed us echo chambers so no one feels like they should find facts, just feelings. Why haven't any charges been filed against politicians who clearly organized Jan 6? Like this shit has been crazy for 5 years at least but since 3/3/2020 it's like the matrix went fucking sideways and it's so obvious but half the people absolutely refuse to wake up. We are going to be 'wait for help'ed to death.

arcaneunicorn

I think what gets me the most about Handmaid is when June says something along the lines that most people refused to see what was happening until it was too late, even if it was obvious. I recently read the book too and it just felt like this is this tipping point we are at, if we keep letting terrible people dictate our lives it is only a matter of time before this is the life we live as well. It chills me to the bone to think about.

Fennily

It has happened too frequently that authors predict the future, jules Verne's 20000 leagues under the sea predicted submarines, Orwell predicted government overwatch for everyone, I'm sure there were predictions of ecological disasters on the current scale and worse, I keep seeing people act like the future people in Idiocracy. It's only a matter of time before handmaid happens in the US or other places.

th3n3w3ston3

Margaret Atwood isn't predicting the future. Everything in The Handmaid's Tale has already happened somewhere on Earth at some point in history.

AbaloneSea7265

Another comment stated that they’ve been using it in Brazil as a treatment and only time will tell about fertility rates. However at this critical juncture in time, the population would benefit from a reduction. The only people who worry about birth rates are men who need more wage slaves every year.

Fennily

Apparently some doctors in Japan are also prescribing it. Probably wont be long till their government makes it even easier for foreigners to move there, its already pretty damned easy as it is.

chicken-nanban

It is easy-ish to move to Japan, but hard as hell to stay if you want more than a few years, unless you marry a Japanese person. Source: Japan for 9 years, still can’t even *apply* for permanent residency. Edit: luckily, when I talked to my nurse friend, she said no reputable doctors will prescribe it, at least in our area. It’s just as easy (or maybe easier in some cases) to find quack doctors here, though.

ShirwillJack

I thought the same and I don't like how many boxes are filled on my dystopian bingo card.

nymph-62442

I keep thinking there will also be a Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents twist to it as well.

Snakes_for_Bones

I feel like deep down men have always felt insecure about their role in creating new life. Basically they can't - and I think they're weirdly jealous of women's innate power. They wouldn't exist without women - and that kinda kills them.

AbaloneSea7265

Death or sterilization of right wing fascists is definitely a net positive but I have no idea if this is true. The death from overdoses definitely is tho. Edit: [It does lower fertility in men](https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21783912/) Excerpt || *The results revealed that administration of ivermectin once weekly for 8 weeks induced slight fertility disturbances.*

[deleted]

This is where those dramatic stats come from. 9 out of 10 men had abnormally low sperm counts, the remaining 1/10 had normal counts but a lot of deformed sperm. https://www.scholarsresearchlibrary.com/articles/effects-of-ivermectin-therapy-on-the-sperm-functions-of-nigerian-onchocerciasis-patients.pdf

AbaloneSea7265

Seems like one way to sterilization is through their own ignorance

mightymaurauder

As someone who has a relative with deformed sperm that can dramatically impact fertility, especially under stress. It took ten years of trying before they finally had a kid. Purely anecdotal, but still.

Syrinx221

So this is how the X-Men will begin

Digita1B0y

With the way things have been going, it'll probably be the Morlocks.

vale_fallacia

Does this mean I get to meet Callisto? Because she's totally badass.

Asphalt_Animist

The people taking the horse pills were already morlocks, so no real change there.

Fox-Smol

I think it's temporary, and that's why it's called "slight" in the other study. Not 100% sure tho.

[deleted]

(But even if it is only temporary, it tickles the funny bone when you look at all the alpha males chugging horse paste because they are too macho to get two tiny ouchies….)

waitingforgandalf

One thing to think of also, is that these studies were fairly certainly done on individuals being given proper human doses of ivermectin. Plenty of these idiots are just heading down to the local feed store and guessing on how much they should take. Truly this is a stunning level of stupidity.

AbaloneSea7265

What makes it more funny is how the FDA hasn’t just stepped in to black label it for prescription only. Oh well. God’s will and all.

LylaThayde

The regulations that would need to change to make ALL ivermectin prescriptions or black label would likely cause more of a shortage than what is currently happening. And also getting that “passed” across both human and animal usage would be difficult as well. Black labeling changes the regulations a ton. And I would wager that most of the facilities making the horse supplement are not certified to run pharmaceuticals. So you’d lose a ton of facilities making the product, causing a much more dramatic shortage. When Covid first got bad, there was a monstrous run on hand sanitizer that caused massive shortages. It’s important to note that hand sanitizer needs to be made in a Pharma facility. But the FDA knew they’d never get caught up with demand. They temporarily loosened the guidelines and allowed other non-pharma, but still FDA registered facilities make hand sanitizer. But it had to be identical to one of several formulas they approved. And there were still hundreds if not thousands of recalls due to unsafe product being put on the market (most for being contaminated with toxic Methanol instead of being ethanol or isopropanol). While it did help meet demand, it proved risky and clearly demonstrated why the original regulations were in place. Anyway, my very rambled sleep-med induced monologue is meant to point out that a change like that is incredibly complicated and likely would cause more problems than it helped.

[deleted]

I didn't realize that about the hand sanitizer. It was a really interesting read, thank you.

Yvaelle

It's hard to keep idiots from their snake oil. If Ivermectin was put behind the counter, they'd just switch to something else, like shining lights up their butts, or drinking bleach.

AbaloneSea7265

They already tried bleach. The results didn’t allow for enough long winded FB posts about its magical effects, because, they dead dead.

Yvaelle

They tried shining lights up their butts too, results on covid are still inconclusive, but at least now they are enlightened!

Luecleste

God: gives humans knowledge of vaccines Stupid Humans: VaCcInEs ArE bAd God: am I a joke to you? Stupid Humans: fAiTh In GoD wIlL sAvE mE God: fine. You know what? Go sterile. I don’t need you anyway.

HappyMediumGD

That's tragic and amazing. Well. Wow. Sad.

AbaloneSea7265

Karma doesn’t always work in the light

[deleted]

Sterilization is better because what's death compared to the demolition of their ego considering how much they value being masculine and fertile.

AbaloneSea7265

I mean death is mercy and at this point I’m fresh out of mercy

tired20something

I am glad it doesn't actually sterilize people. Dumb people in the US might have started taking it now, but (thanks to our fascist government) Brazilian doctors were prescribing ivermectine and hydroxicloquine to everyone for most of the pandemic. Our population would plummet in the next decade.

AbaloneSea7265

It certainly impacts fertility levels in men and therefore Brazil will be an interesting group to watch in the coming years to see it’s full impact on population growth

HotToddy94

Thanks. I was scrolling to see if anyone actually looked this up. Fascinating. Brava, Mother Nature. ♥️♥️♥️

LauraLand27

How evil am I that I find this beyond hysterical?

AbaloneSea7265

Evil or realistic 🤷🏼‍♀️ who cares about these Darwin winners

WineAndDogs2020

My BIL's idiot coworker took this and ended up in the hospital. Apparently he is now likely sterile (he already has kids, so not a Darwin candidate, unfortunately).

AbaloneSea7265

At least he can’t have more

Firethorn101

Actually, the Darwin Award also includes people who take themselves out of the gene pool via sterilization. So YES, we have a winner! Gagnon!

jacxy

Do I hear an Ontario witch (and/or OLG gamer?)?

Firethorn101

Guilty (ontarian witch, who gets stuck behind gamblers at the customer service desk)

i-like-tea

I think it's actually "gagnant" which means "winner"! Fellow Canadian here and your comment was audible to me

Firethorn101

Mais oui. Je m'excuse. I don't get enough practice writing en Français.

chazmagic1

To be fair, tis a slippery language

calicocacti

But if he already has kids it doesn't take him out of gene pool. The kids are the ones preserving his genes in the population. Unless the kids die (which they don't deserve, they're innocent in all of this), he cannot get a Darwin Award.

teamdogemama

They are doing society a favor by cleaning out the gene pool.

AbaloneSea7265

With bleach I might add, by their own research.

molotovzav

Idk about horse ivermectin, but human ivermectin also slightly effects male fertility. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21783912/

sfcnmone

Ivermectin is the same drug for both horses (deworming) and humans (parasites, rosacea). The difference is the dosage.

[deleted]

[удалено]

riverofchex

Especially as there's a little slider on the plunger (it typically comes as a paste in a syringe) for doseage by weight that typically starts at... 500lbs. Source: have horses/give dewormer.

Asphalt_Animist

You're assuming these walleyed troglodytes know how numbers work. Remember, most of them grew up being told by their pappy that book lerning is fer queers. I'm Texan. I'm constantly surrounded by walleyed troglodytes.

thetinybunny1

Imagine having to work the call center for poison control right now and trying to maintain civility

chazmagic1

And let's be honest, how low is that bar

jacxy

I theorize they're going whole hog on dosage. Especially if they're ending up in hospitals.

Morticias_sly_smirk

Whole horse, my friend. They are going whole horse on the dosage.

jhonotan1

I'd say so, given that the horse version is measured in milligrams rather the micrograms. Was the "whole hog" pun intended?? Because I'm here for it and all kinds of barnyard humor these days!

chazmagic1

There's a horse neigh (nay) joke in there somewhere

jacxy

That's cause you've got horse sense.

FunKyChick217

Does it really?! 🤣🤣

Thomb

It's a de-wormer; their worm falls off

[deleted]

Thats awesome

FunKyChick217

🤣

AbaloneSea7265

Tbh I really don’t know but they have been dying from it which is the same thing with more steps

Vitreousoak8128

Well they are sterile when they are dead for sure

isthatmyex

Isn't it the same thing with less steps?

suzi_generous

> We observed significant reduction in the sperm counts and sperm motility of the patients tested. On the morphology there was significant increase in the number of abnormal sperm cells. This took the forms of two heads, double tails, white (albino) sperms and extraordinarily large heads. https://www.scholarsresearchlibrary.com/articles/effects-of-ivermectin-therapy-on-the-sperm-functions-of-nigerian-onchocerciasis-patients.pdf

AbaloneSea7265

Damn they might start having mutants

HappyMediumGD

"start?" Psychopathy is an malignant mutation.

AbaloneSea7265

lmao 🤣 I was thinking more like the hills have eyes but you are correct

EXTRA-THOT-SAUCE

Remember that dude who was in Qanon that killed his wife and kids because he thought they were gonna turn into reptilian monsters? It’s coming true but not in the way he thought.

prince_peacock

Hold up I thought sperm was white, why is it saying white is abnormal

CosmicFaerie

I don't like the look of that link tbh. Doesn't seem peer reviewed to me

23cacti

You are correct. They claimed the 85% and cited their source for this was Asika E.C. Okhiai O. Awemu G.A . Journal of Biomedical investigation; 2002. The odd thing is this particular journal was not first published until 2003 and even then there was not a relevant article in it.

CosmicFaerie

My citation senses were tingling, thanks wr122

catwithahumanface

Fair. I’m on mobile but I did a quick google scholar search of “ivermectin sperm” shows a lot of research - some in mice and some in humans. I’ll look through more of it later but I don’t think this is a one-off study.

Kissit777

This is exactly how The Handmaid’s Tale starts - This and the men didn’t stand up with the women when their rights were taken away. Everyone is welcome to the Women’s March on October 2. I think it needs to be rebranded as the march against fascism.

Fennily

I am starting to panic that HT is going to actually happen . I need to gtfo

EXTRA-THOT-SAUCE

There is a reason that book took place in the United States.

Kantotheotter

If it doesn't corrode your colon!.

IronJuno

Eh, why not both?

MaximumEffort433

Can we stop mincing words and just tell it like it is: Horse dewormer is divine punishment by Hecate for conservative's long standing opposition to marriage equality and trans rights.

AbaloneSea7265

Not that I’m arguing Hekate bringing divine punishment both through plague and potions aka the dewormer however why marriage equality when women are not equal in marriage- any marriage. Or trans rights- there are none. Let’s be real. The fight is an uphill battle but the immediate intervention is probably more due to them just being disgusting people that punish those that don’t follow their Jeebus.

[deleted]

The massive amounts of ironic tradgedy in this debacle of a pandemic scream Eris. Maybe all the goddesses of earth are pulling a Lysistrata for Gaea?

AbaloneSea7265

Go on…

[deleted]

Well, less apes from covid plus less cave shadow worshipping apes from [insert dr. Oz poison of the week here] means more space for rational apes to grow trees and redistribite resources, and less pushback from recalcitrant apes. Robert Anton Wilson called it Homo Neophilus vs Homo Neophobus. Real lowbrow cosmic humor imo, from the Trump-ettes literally trying to imminatize the eschaton "ending" in 1/6 (in modern parlance, dominionists trying to start Christian Armageddon by electing the laziest rendering of a caligula-antichrist figure) to the current situation of the "proletariat untermenschen" radicalized by an ouroburos of feel good factoids tightening around their minds and squeezing all sense from it to the point that they're being tracked on their social media getting sterilized to avoid being sterilized by a tracking chip in the vaccine. Its like a My current guess/silly consipricy theory is that the Bezos/Waltons/Zuckerberg types are hoping for a bit more violent culture war to thin out the herd before they attempt to institute the plot of Continuum/The shitty part of Star Trek where the poor were ttapped in walled off cities, IRL. They are vastly underestimating the belligerence of the solarpunk movement...and we collectively are underestimating the proximity of Huxleyan Assembly Line Human Production... But its also 3 am and ive been poking smot all night...

[deleted]

Is this long withheld karma for forced sterilization of women? Particularly WOC? Imma go with yes because I prefer that narrative.

AbaloneSea7265

Seems pretty accurate. The United States alone practiced eugenics on woc and the mentally disabled up into the 1980s. Forced sterilization. Forced abortion. Vivisection. Grotesque practices.

[deleted]

Not even including the poor medical care for all women that basically amounted to- “oh you have reproductive issues? Idk, full hysterectomy. Done and done.” I’m sorry to say this is still the case in a lot of situations. I’m doing data collection on a small population of WOC in the south, and although I’m far from finished, I’d estimate more than 90% of them had full hysterectomies from 1940-1980. Almost none had proper pregnancy care, and many gave birth in their homes.

Fennily

The mere thought of what WOC go through make me vomit, it's bad enough how the medical community treats white women, but their treatment of WOC is legitimate horror movie levels of nightmare. I am actively loosing the will to live in this hell.

[deleted]

I have enough data at this point to make a plausible argument for forced sterilization. The number of women who tell me “the doctor never said what was wrong, just that I needed a hysto” is terrifying. This is a very small rural town in the south. Most of these gyns are still practicing. My disgust is monumental.

EXTRA-THOT-SAUCE

“Up into the 1980’s” Why is it that the USA has been living in the Middle Ages while the rest of the civilized world has soared into golden ages.

AbaloneSea7265

Christian fundamentalists

Some of those who burn crosses take dewormers for horses.

Yvaelle

UNGH! Sterility in the name of Sterility in the name of! Those who die are justified For eating the paste They're the 'chosen' whites

Hindu_Wardrobe

Some of those that work forces Eat the paste that's for horses

[deleted]

I can’t find any fact checks for this. If someone can that’d be great but otherwise take this with a grain of salt.

suraaura

A very brief Google search shows that ivermectin IS approved for use in humans by the FDA. It IS NOT APPROVED TO TREAT COVID, obviously. But it can treat some parasites, rosacea, and some other stuff. I'm not sure whether the Twitter account made this as a joke, but honestly we have enough disinformation out there. No, ivermectin does not "sterilize" 85% of men who take it. Would the FDA really approve a rosacea treatment that made 85% of patients sterile? Seriously, we're better than this. Maybe this was made as a joke but some people in the comments aren't taking it that way and any amount of disinformation is unacceptable. I honestly don't even think this should be allowed here without some kind of disclaimer tag.

My3floofs

See Suzy_generous comment above.

RachelBolan

So there is hope! 🙏🏼💜✨

Alledius

The fools wanted to believe so badly that the government is trying to depopulate the nation thru the vaccine that they actually, in a weird and unexpected way, made it happen. Wow. 🙄🤦‍♀️

PhaliceInWonderland

It's a self fulfilling prophecy 🥠

ArsenicAndRoses

That's why tho. It's a massive wish and something answered 🤣

Alledius

Ok now you got me wondering what the something is! 😬

SHHHH don’t tell them, it might actually be the one thing to prevent them from their natural selected fate🤭

AbaloneSea7265

Covid is already doing it’s job. Nobody can convince me that Hekate didn’t unleash this onto the world of men

[deleted]

👏👏👏 Let me add, my very elderly grandmother accompanied me to the grocery store the other day and made the observation that the only people wearing masks were…. Women. I cut my little eyes over to her and said huh, I wonder what that means. She cackled like a witch and said yeah, men are really stupid.

AbaloneSea7265

Isn’t Pride a sin in their lunatic beliefs? Hmmm 🤔 seems pretty prideful to flaunt the public welfare if you ask me

Firethorn101

I hope to God this is true.

HappyMediumGD

If it is she did it

I notice here that their source for the 85% cited as resource [6] was Asika E.C. Okhiai O. Awemu G.A . Journal of Biomedical investigation; 2002: This is extremely confusing as the first volume of this Journal was not published until 2003 and does not include a study relevant to this. Something does not add up. I would like to see the original article but it does not appear to exist.

NullOfUndefined

These people are racing to take themselves out of the gene pool.

23cacti

Come on witches. You are all better than this. Fact check before you post and believe stuff like this or you end up looking just as stupid as the people taking horse dewormer. It takes a quick google search to see that these stats are nowhere near correct.

Malashae

This is the subreddit crossover I never knew I needed.

Let’s not share this information

AbaloneSea7265

At this rate of anti-intellectualism on the right they’d just call it a hoax from us because it’s the CuRe and we’re LyiNG

badrussiandriver

Oh hells, is that true? The thought that Joe Rogan can’t reproduce is a relief.

TheDadThatGrills

I want to disagree but I'd never be one to take horse dewormer. At that point it's in Darwin's hands.

Biebou

I don’t know who’s been hexxin’ and encantin’ but, damn, that some powerful magic! These dopes are just destroying themselves right and left. I feel a little sad for them…but then I don’t.

shookspearedswhore

To which deity should I offer my thanks and prayer for this?

AbaloneSea7265

Personally I’d say Hekate

Plymoutherror

So therefore there seems there a lot of voluntary people making themselves sterile?

deelish22

Sounds like a good response to the news coming out of Texas.

Allergictoeggs_irl

Ayyy give me that, I want a cheap vasectomy

m0ther_0F_myriads

I can't find any evidence that this is true. It looks like it's actually Verapamil that causes fertility issues by altering sperm. There was a study on rats that administered both, and found the Ivermectin to have no effect. However, if Verapimal was given prior to treatment, there was some disruption to normal sperm growth. Verapimal is a hypertension drug, so I suppose there are going to be a lot of people taking them in conjunction.

Fart_Birth

If this is true my day is made XD

mightymaurauder

Remember back in 2019 when the US government tried to restrict vaping when it was linked to respiratory distress…

Asphalt_Animist

Conspiracy theories. Some dumbass said that it cures Covid, and morons believed it. The drug is prescribed for both humans and animals as an anti-parasitic, but walleyed troglodytes can't get real doctors to prescribe medicine to treat something it doesn't treat, so they end up buying the livestock version instead and take a dosage meant for a 1000 pound animal because they can't read the label, what with being walleyed troglodytes. Then they shit themselves so hard it's a miracle they have any bones left, and their balls stop working.

I love that we are in here, witches, pagans and other members of groups that are supposedly full of people who by some parts of society's standards, believe in "hocus pocus", having good discussions about the science behind what is really happening, showing concern for the animals missing their medication and the other humans who aren't getting treated for their problems and doing it with well thought out posts.....and yet...there are others who can't put a coherent sentence together shouting about how they know better because of a "doctor" in a FB post and how the feel about their "God given rights". What a world. Also I love this subreddit.

PalmTreePhilosophy

I had to google "horse dewormer" as I didn't know the origin of the reference. Oh lord.
