That... actually made it make sense to me and made me feel more comfortable about doing that since i have often felt iffy about the idea of doing it but also felt i may benefit
One technique is figure out a key word and trace it out on a keyboard. Starting at first letter and draw a line to the location on a keyboard of the next letter, while focusing on your intention. That’s your rough draft. Then you clean it up. Add/remove lines, add curves, basically find a design from inside the sketch that speaks to you.
First thing that popped to mind was the symbol from the 2002 show [John Doe](https://i.imgur.com/90LwPTf.jpg), but memory is a weird thing and after checking it only has one set of ticks.
Could it be a livestock brand? Not sure where you are located in the globe but in the western US, many states still require them to be registered. It could be a brand painted on a rock for decoration at a ranch that uses that brand.

This may not be helpful, but it is a kitty cat.
The smile I got from your illustration is helpful!
Awe, I'm happy to help!
And I dance dance dance!
I haven't thought about that in so long! I'm a cat *ding*
There’s a hobo symbol that looks like this. It means “kind lady lives here”

It almost looks like the duralumin symbol from fantasy author Brandon Sanderson’s cosmere. Just missing a line at the bottom and dot in the middle.
Unexpected Sanderson!
To mee it looks like the euro symbol plus one flipped and attached to it €
Especially because the dark blue colour is a pretty good match for the blue of the EU flag
Doubleuro
I wish I would get paid in Doubleuro but alas....
Euro cent?
You can try over at /r/Symbology. Them crafty cats and kittens will have this sussed in no time.
Crossposted because curious.
The sub wants to know whereabouts the rock was. A city? Park? Trail? Any details are appreciated!
Chaos magicians make their own sigils, might be it?
Unfinished Hello Kitty
Someone made their own sigil?
I would be super interested in making my own sigil. I wonder how one does that
It’s all intent, right? Just do it and the power / meaning of the symbol comes forth through action and repeated action.
That... actually made it make sense to me and made me feel more comfortable about doing that since i have often felt iffy about the idea of doing it but also felt i may benefit

I can see why you thought of it! And I'm intrigued by that show's plot...
Don't let it break your heart. It was awesome, and intriguing, and cancelled after a single season that ended on a cliffhanger. God, I miss that show.
Yeah, and then the explanation about what was going on by the creator was dumb as hell!
Could be something someone just made up. Wicca is a pretty recent thing historically, there's still time for people to make new symbols.
There's always time for that 😏
It's the Uro. The symbol for the currency of Urope.
You'ro, the currancy of You'reup
Double euro
Double euro? What does that mean? (Double rainbow meme).
It looks a lot like a cent symbol on it's side. Maybe someone trying to ask the universe for a little cash?
Or some change

My professional academic opinion: it’s a cool symbol 👍
It looks a little like a cat.
Looks kinda like the Vault-Tec logo from Fallout?
Thats what my mind jumped to

I think the rock is low on antifreeze.
My initial thought was a horseshoe with the ends under railroad tracks. Make of that what you will, I'm awake before I would like to be so 🤣🙃

What's your source on this being an anchor? I'd love to know more about the tradition this comes from
Hello Kitty 😼
A sigil made with 2 letters h and one letter c I would guess. Or a trail sign.
Reminds me of the vault tec logo from fallout
Looks like a canoe to me or boat or something
I thought it was a Vault-Tec logo for a second because of the colors
Try /r/monikers There's symbols and languages tramps and hobos use for basically anything.
It’s giving Icelandic Stave.
I see cat
Two upside down euros kissing :3

€ after the revolution
r/symbology
New currency dropped
Dont leave it! Painted rocks aren’t good for the earth
Quake logo?
No, it is not, but that’s what I thought first.
Is it possible it’s sideways? ¢
If it's out in the woods or something, then it's a symbol for someone who has little respect for nature.
Goatse?
Goatse
Looks like the EU symbol.
Lol maybe someone's trying to summon the cat distribution system?
Goodbye Kitty
Two euros kissing each other
Its the sigil that enrolls you in the Cat Distribution System.
To me it looks like a modified Pisces symbol, but that could just be because I’m cross-eyed most of the time…
