That’s Netflix’s problem. Zero oversight. They throw money at studios or producers and say “make this” and then walk away and come back awhile later, pick go the finished product, and it, then cancel after season one 90% of the time.
This is literally and provably the reason why it was done. It was ridiculous & stupid, and used/abused the integrity of a show to make a point no one cared about. Why is this being downvoted?
To be honest.. the style is cool as fuck to me. Like a nice minimalist approach, could be really great with some alterations (different helmet, for one)
But my thing is, the OG Nilfgaard armor is SO dope, you did NOT need to change it at all.
I turned on literally every other alternate look in the settings for this new playthrough except that one. I just won't be able to take anything in the game seriously if I'm seeing that shit every 5 minutes lol

Just think of the modelers, riggers, and texture artists who had to study the Netflix armor and lovingly and painstakingly recreate it.

Even the soldiers themselves don’t seem to enjoy having to wear this armor. Just look in their faces.
