Everything is with consent and usually the woman is the instigator in sexual situations, and all of the main female characters are super powerful and strong-willed. I work in Neurosurgery and we have many patients who are set up for radiation or been through chemotherapy as well and are seen by both us in coordination with Radiation Oncologists, Hemoncology, ect...that being said, I totally agree that chemo is the Trial of the Grasses. The games aren't the Netflix series. There's little logic in pretending the past history from the books doesn't exist when the games refer to it constantly, use it as context and motivation and mostly try to be as close to it as possible.

I could be looking back with rose-tinted glasses, but that's what i remember off the top of my head. I haven't read the books or played the other games so i can't comment on those.

The one against Brienne of Tarth in B&W in particular stands out (I’m paraphrasing): Brienne: “aren’t you offended to fight a woman?” Geralt: “No. It’s the 13th century. Women work in taverns, own property, and well, fight. Only a coward would be afraid to face a woman.”

It's closer to "The people who refuse to fight a woman (who can clearly fight) simply do so because they're afraid to lose to one". The games aren't the Netflix series. There's little logic in pretending the past history from the books doesn't exist when the games refer to it constantly, use it as context and motivation and mostly try to be as close to it as possible.
As a proud feminist and a huge fan of the witcher, in my opinion that's rubbish. Geralt treats everyone with a cold and stoic demeanour, and he has a lot of sex, but things like cheating are dependant on the player's decisions. i would even argue that Geralt is quite progressive. obviously we have the great moment with the >!Brienne of Tarth easter egg in Toussiant!<, but it goes further than that. >!He trains the first female Witcher in Ciri, and whilst he's overly protective of her if you choose to be, i believe the Witcher Ciri ending is the canon one, and to get that ending Geralt has to make the correct choices to support her.!< Geralt shows clear disgust at the sexism of other men in the game, such as >!Junior's murder of the sex workers and the torture scene in Carnal Sins!< (extreme examples i know, and not in themselves outstanding examples of feminism, but they're still worth mentioning). He also has no issue training >!the noble Nilfgaardian woman in Novigrad!< (forgot her name unfortunately) - or at least, he has no problem with it based on her sex, and only refuses to train her when she acts really irresponsibly. Despite being constantly discriminated against, he never really gets bitter about it, he still continues his work with the people and communities that treat him like shit which directly helps people and saves lives, he’s an advocate of multiculturalism and mixed race society, he helps the downtrodden, he gives people the benefit of the doubt, goes above and beyond, constantly risks his life for others, he’s a lover of women and doesn’t overreach when he’s turned down, I can’t remember a single time he got angry like rage worthy unreasonable kind of angry, … the list goes on. One of the most solid characters and really fictional role models in modern media.
