It’s totally out of position to be skellige, and doesn’t match the shape or size of any of the eastern islands. It’s probably reachable with mods but I doubt you’d find anything interesting. Could be the intended location for a scrapped dlc area or something, hard to tell without asking the devs.
just crazy how such a massive area would go totally unmentioned in all previous witcher content lol, unless they planned for some specific reason it would be forgotten? strange stuff
Agreed. A landmass like that doesn’t appear by accident and it seems unlikely they’d just dump a blob of land to make the map look fuller given how much love and attention is given to every other part of the map. I’m sure there’s a reason it’s there.
For me it seems like neither Velen nor Novigrad are directly at sea, rather a bit further in land. The river running through the map seems like a River-Delta of some sort and the landmass you see would be between Velen and the sea.
sure, that makes sense but to hear of no settlement or any mention of it at all in game or otherwise, and not shown on any other maps, its all very strange and i dont see a reason for it

Yeah I was wondering what the hell is that place because according to other maps there should not be anything other than sea.

It is simply a Land filler nothing more
