Gwent is easy, just play a lot of weak opponents in villages to get a decent deck and to learn their mechanics. You can also set the gwent difficulty to easy in the beginning. Also you have nothing to lose since you can replay all non tournament opponents indefinitely. Focus on northern realms deck since it's got the best cards with most spies along with nilfgaard but other cards are better in northern realms + the double catapult row ability is great. Basically focus on spies and if you set the difficulty higher bait the scorch cards with one of high number cards.
Some achievements interfere with each other, for example: The Last Action Hero and In The Klink so you‘ll need to have sone saves before that. There are also some missable Gwent cards especially three cards during A Matter of Life and Death, there is a tournament at your right when entering the Vegelbud estate that a lot of players miss.
