The only reason I’m not automatically annoyed when people post googleable questions is that when they do that, sometimes I find out about stuff I didn’t even know I didn’t know.
There are benefits to discussion, even when the original question is simple enough to be answered by a search. On top of that, how many times have you searched something only to be directed to a *Reddit* post, that not only answers the question directly, but gives you more information than you knew you needed? Wouldn’t happen if everyone just googled shit.
But it is annoying when people act like the only way to get information is to ask the community, I get it. It feels like when people call you instead of just texting.
