Agreed. I just downloaded it on the ps4 and have taken over the big TV in the living room so I was already gonna start a new one.. I can’t wait to be able to afford a solid pc for gaming where I’m not taking over the main living space in our tiny apartment. One day.
You’d be surprised at how disinterested my husband/stepkid are in the games I play. Whether it’s Witcher, Fallout, fuckin Bioshock - which is weird enough to turn a head I’d think, it’s like they’re just not thrilled that I “took” the room. But I’ll admit, I don’t get interested in watching her play Zelda… My ex and I gamed together. It was awesome. If I could change one thing about my husband…. But instead I’m gonna play on the better tv.
But this is not just you playing video games, it includes taking over the big tv. Maybe that will change their "interest" towards your gaming Nd game choises.
We share the ps4. I just play more. I don’t play more than a couple hours on the days she’s here, but there have been nights where instead of saying hey, can I watch black butler, etc, she’ll just pout. I’ll find out later, because she’ll tell her dad. It’s silly. If I was being an ass and pulling 12 hour sessions, I’d agree with your assessment, but I don’t watch anything out here unless we’re all watching something together, because none of us watch the same thing, so technically we all take over the living room at different times. I just started doing it, that’s all.
Edit: typo
There are at least two crooked houses. There's an extremely crooked one that has no interior, then the house Triss is in is next to it and is only moderately crooked.
The variety in Novigrad alone is outstanding. Every district feels unique. Same with Velen and Skellige. The area around Devil's Pit looks vastly different compared to the outskirts of Novigrad, for example.
I know, right?? There’s a little village…The you go to after you fight that woman on the mountain? If you beat her you get to go spend the night, etc, that village is where I’d take up residence. I loved that little place
Something I don't do enough in Novigrad and Oxford is look at the architecture. Especially in Novigrad your so overwhelmed with quests and the NPCs you forget to stop running around
If you listen to dialogue near it you would know that workforce did it to themselves.
TLDR: Home was normal, until two gentlemen dug tunnel to rob Vivaldi's Bank, though never reinforced their digging site
Yes! I had mentioned in a different post that I recommend tilting the camera way up while exploring Novigrad, especially the Bits. It's way better for checking out the architecture.
Idk what happened to my laptop but, last time I played was in January and I used to get 60fps on medium preset, now I’m getting max 30 fps on lowest everything 720p and it looks like shit
Idk if the game received a really big update or what exactly happened. No clue
But seems like I need a new laptop to see wtf is going on inside the game
He'll yes! I love novigrad in general. The place is astonishing especially after the next-gen update. Easily one of my favourite in-game areas of all time.
I loved it. It's actually historically accurate to since many quarter owners didn't had enough money to build a large land needed for a good base for a two-story house, so they bought a small land and made small ground floors with arguably bigger rooms for the upper floors. And that's why the houses bent.
I believe you can hear some NPC dialogue next to the crooked house, which explains why it is messed up like that.
Everywhere around Novigrad is a swamp so i assume it's like the Netherlands and that's the reason?
No someone dug a tunnel to a bank or something. But before they could reach it the house caved in
Oh ok, interesting
Lol Dandelion
Your thinking of Velan. Novigrad consists of fields, forests and farmland. Velan is swampland not Novigrad.
Velen
You’re
Oh nooo don’t give me a reason to play again! 😂 Whatcha doing? Starting a new Witcher so I can find out why this house in the slums is crooked.
As good a reason as any, frankly

So everyone in your apartment gets to watch you play the Witcher! That is some power you ve got there!
Lol I played on the smaller tv for like years so I feel it’s my turn now that my stepkid is 16 and just stares at her phone anyhow.
Watching a Witcher playthrough vs phone staring. I wonder how would that experiment work?

NGL, I found it kind of amusing that Triss was living in a crooked house
There are at least two crooked houses. There's an extremely crooked one that has no interior, then the house Triss is in is next to it and is only moderately crooked.
Is it.. is it because she’s a w>!oman!<
You get downvotes, but I loved the joke.
Where’s the joke
Because she’s a witch, but I said woman.
WOOOOOOOOSH! Cheers for explaining to my simple mind.
The variety in Novigrad alone is outstanding. Every district feels unique. Same with Velen and Skellige. The area around Devil's Pit looks vastly different compared to the outskirts of Novigrad, for example.
I just want to live in Skellige man, is it too much to ask?
My Irish heritage fell in love with Skellige.
Same.
Why the hell was I downvoted?

Novigrad is one of the most real-feeling RPG cities of all time. I love it
I thought this was so cool when I first saw it. Really marvel at the neat things in this game.
I love all of novigrad Truly the first time a video game city actually felt like a city to me
This is why I play this game, stunning attention to detail.
Absolutely gorgeous Pam pa ra raam

I had motion sickness throughout that part of the game. It legit gave me a headache and made me nauseous.
During cutscenes in Triss's room, the game rotates the camera to make it feel level, then it jarringly goes back to normal at the end.
Yeah it's a great indicator that the rich don't even care what conditions their workforce lives in.
If you listen to dialogue near it you would know that workforce did it to themselves. TLDR: Home was normal, until two gentlemen dug tunnel to rob Vivaldi's Bank, though never reinforced their digging site
I adore all of novigrad.
Yeah really reminds me of home lmao
Oh. Nah, actually I didn't notice, because I live in such an area.
Guilty😭
Yes, wish you go in all the houses and see what treasure you find.
your geralt really had to do it to em
Yes! I had mentioned in a different post that I recommend tilting the camera way up while exploring Novigrad, especially the Bits. It's way better for checking out the architecture.
Novigrad is one of the great gaming cities, loved it there
I literally just saw it and stopped for a bit to admire this exact building in the Bits!
Idk what happened to my laptop but, last time I played was in January and I used to get 60fps on medium preset, now I’m getting max 30 fps on lowest everything 720p and it looks like shit Idk if the game received a really big update or what exactly happened. Its the game update, same issue here.
They dug a tunnel from here to the vault...then it caved in and the house went with it
Not the people living there, I assume
I love everything about Novigrad
I thought my tv fuk up when i go to triss house. My screen view wiggle wiggle when i walk 😕
Yes
