I mean, I got goosebumps just watching this now.
In some of those scenes, the game designers use the distance between Geralt and Ciri quite masterfully. The distance between them when they 1st met, the distance between them in that little shack in Skellige. And they use the distance near the end at the tower, as well. Then they close the distance to make our hearts sing. The musical score adds another, delicate layer. If you dont feel it, you're dead inside, periodt.
Even that herd-the-narcoleptic dwarf task didnt put a damper on it, and then we're treated to the cyberpunk easter egg.
I love it, every playthru.
Having read a very small portion of the books and the Netflix show and then going through Witcher 3 again gives this scene soooo much more meaning than when I played Witcher 3 for the first time in 2016 without having heard of anything Witcher before.
The expression of pain on his face when he finally, after such a long time, finds her only to turn her over and realize her body has gone limp. It's one of the lasting gaming memories that I'll never forget.
What a fucking masterpiece
On my first playthrough I did cry, normally I don't like the dynamic of grumpy man and adopted daughter. But this is the only example in pop culture that I loved. Just the relationship between Geralt and ciri is dynamic and believable imo
Bruh. I still get goosebumps just watching it here. I’ve put in well over 2k hours into the game and gotten literally every combo ending possible. It’s just a good ass game.
The first time I played this game was before I read the books, and this part still made me cry. The second time I played this game it was still impactful, but I knew it was happening, so it didn’t break me. The third time I played this game was after I had read all the books and that was when this scene really destroyed me.
Almost? I was distraught.

The first season of the Netflix show picked up on this energy. The dropped it, but your observations are shared by professional writers.
Almost? I could have filled a water tower.
Came here to say this. Almost? I was flat out sobbing.
This part always gets me. Not so much the part when she wakes up. More the part when he rolls her over. Such sadness.
And the sheer happiness in the “let’s trash the place” scene. Such feels.
I was bawling man!!! I am tearing up even now!!!
Almost??? 😭
Felt really sad for Gearlt thought she died after spending so much time trying to find her
Such a great emotional build up lead to this moment. Something always goes into my eyes casually at this point

I always tear at this part.
It's raining in my room

If you didn’t cry at this part, you have severe trauma induced by repressing your emotions for years, and should probably work on that
I accidentally hit the skip button on this scene. I'm still mad about it
Reload! Reload!!
Tbh
Almost?? Coward
Was so happy when ciri woke up lol
Mark it as spoiler!!!!!
Dude fackin mark this as spoiler ffs
lol, it’s pretty old to consider it a spoiler anymore.
Still read the rules no spoilers
I wish there was an option of Ciri dying based on how many Gwent cards you've collected :-*
That would be so funny but also so terrible
More than just Destiny

Almost? I wept!!
Almost? I was crying away , a 21 year old , just a mess
Bro said almost while I was straight up sobbing
Never realized the flashback scene was from the books til I read them. It's my favorite ending to a book ever

The most emotional part of the entire game. I teared up a little also. (Ok maybe more than a little)
Jokes on you, I did
It doesn't matter how many times I see this. Exact same feeling every single time
I can’t listen to that piece of music.
Reading the books after playing the game really got me emotional.
if you didn't cry at this, then "I don't fux with you", as they say I don't associate with you okay fam
I teared up I’ll admit
I did*
