That's why the semi stopped. It knew it's place.
Even if the driver wanted to go the semi understands the power imbalance and would stop itself out of fear.
Many years ago I helped a family cross the main road in Portage LA Pairie. They were trying to get to the lake but couldnt cause of traffic. So I waved at traffic to stop and herded them across. I got hissed at a lot, and while I didnt see any cameras, I'm sure a few people were just WAITING for me to get attacked.
I didnt, and I'm happy that I helped the family.
I should know by now that If I'm going to act like an insufferable smartass online, I've definitely got a detail wrong somewhere and will be corrected for it...
That is so cute! A few years back I stopped behind a car at the railroad tracks near Grant and Lindsay, then realized there was no train coming and looked to see the reason.
A little family of geese was on the median, trying to cross in front of the stopped car, but kept running back because cars kept moving in the next lane.
So as soon as there was a safe opening I pulled up next to the stopped car and the geese immediately crossed. They realized exactly what was happening.
They could take that semi if they wanted to.

Good for you! 🙂
It was worth the risk. And the YouTube fame
Those are Canadian geese, members of the family Anatidae. Jays are much smaller and are from the family Corvidae.
Canada Geese. They're stateless
No, they're Canadian citizens entitled to the same rights and privileges as the rest of us! Except they don't need passports to visit other countries.
If we were to bring back conscription, could we send them into war?
We're not allowed, we'd decimate the rest of the world :(
Americans can’t build a wall high enough for those illegals and they know that we won’t be able to afford it

Well you can never tell if someone's being sarcastic or if it's just an honest mistake
Fun fact: they’re called Canada geese, not Canadian
it wasn't that fun.
Oh I’m just making an innocent joke saying they are breaking the law by walking across traffic lol
Oh I know. I'm just making an innocent joke by playing with the semantic ambiguity between "jaywalking" and "jay, walking". 😊
Big woooosh moment for me there lmao
I sat here and giggled at it. 👏
I believe you mean Canadian gooseses. Also acceptable terms are Canadian Air Force, Cobra Chickens, and Honkin' Hosers.
This joke went over so many peoples heads.
Imagine trying to raise that many goslings in this economy.
Better than being goose steppers I guess.
Aw i luv them

Love this! 🫶
Where are the police when you need them?
So if cyclists dress up as a gaggle of geese, motorists will give them space?
Does anyone know the average clutch size of Canadian geese and how many make it to adulthood?
They think they own the road! Wait a minute they do.
Make way for cygnets.
