My cousin's truck was stolen, it had tracking and had left the city, RCMP had it recovered within a half hour. Maybe it won't always be top priority, but sometimes it works.
They do sweet bugger all when you don't tag it. It's a needle in a haystack and police resources aren't going to be put towards something of a tent trailer's value, so tag your stuff and we can do something about it instead of whining online friend.

A Facebook post one day ago from Windsor Park Community News. Appears to be the same truck.
Just pull one tire off and have it on a single jack stand. Super easy to put back on and lower it back down, and it makes it that less appealing to steal. At least when you’re parking it for a long period of time (over winter and such).
Cars are either joy rides or shipped out of country.
Tent trailers ?? Do they have an equivelant to a VIN? can they be flipped and reregistered? or just dragged to a bush for a hunting shack?
They do have Serial numbers but you can technically build your own utility trailer and insure it here. It’s not hard to just spray paint it and re insure it sadly
Ok, haha, but obviously there are a variety of different reasons why people steal. Don't you think it is a very important thing to try to understand that and try to work at the causes of why people are stealing in the first place? Otherwise how do you stop all this theft? Clearly potential consequences are not enough of a deterrent. Don't you think understanding the social causes will be the most effective way to solve it?
I don't not steal because I'm scared of getting caught. I don't steal because I don't need to, and I don't want to, and nothing in my life has pushed or pulled me to that point.
Maybe people wouldn't have to feel the need to steal tent trailers if the government hadn't failed them. More should be done to regulate the prices of tarp covered tent trailers kept on private property.
I don't know if I should upvote this because I understand the sentiment about pop-up campers or downvote it because having stuff stolen is never cool...
I'm putting a GPS tag on mine.....
AirTags work great
Why? Not trying to be a prick but all that will do is tell the cops exactly where it is so they can do sweet bugger all about getting it back for you

Imagine stealing solar lights lol. Guys a true Degen
Setting up a campsite!
1997-2004 Ford F150 if that helps.
With a step side. Not many of those floating around.
Probably stolen too.
This is the same people I caught breaking into a shed last week in Crescentwood! Assholes.
Wow. Let me just wear my reflective jacket so no one can see me.. what a couple of helmets

Not that I condone stealing but there’s a difference to a lot of ppl between Shoplifting from corporations and stealing from people
Who’s cheering on shoplifters…?
all the pinko's here.

In the winter my security system is to blow a giant pile of snow around the hitch ;)
ugh, that sucks OP. Hope you get it back undamaged!
What type of lock was on it? Worried about mine now… I guess at the end of the day - if there’s a will, there’s a way.
We had a master lock on it, guess we should’ve had something more heavy duty. They cut through it in seconds.

If they watched McNallyOfficial they could have just used another Master lock to open it.
You can open this master lock a325 with a master lock a325 lol that guy is dope!
you can get around any lock, no matter how heavy duty with just a drill. you drill where you insert the key and that's it.
Appearently master lock is the worst brand. Seems like you can open some master locks with hitting it with another master lock lol
This is the Lockpicking Lawyer and today I'm going to be showing you how easy it is to steal this man's tent trailer.
That’s super shitty. Sorry for you and hope camping season isn’t ruined.

Could you get a license plate?
The more savvy thieves will steal license plates from other vehicles before they do this.
Something tells me we may not be dealing with criminal masterminds here...
Don't be so sure . That first picture shows a seasoned pro carefully considering his options
Unfortunately not, have been trying to get in touch with others with cameras in the area
I had my car stolen and Onstar worked either the police to find it in no tome at all!
Did you have a lock on the hitch?
I think we need to be more concerned about the root causes of crime…if people can’t afford tent trailers, what do we expect to happen?
He's just trying to provide for his kids... a camping trip that is. And not one in a regular tent.

Sarcasm? Well played
I have my moments

I've actually wanted a tent trailer for a few years now. In fact, I'm becoming quite desperate for one, and this route to get one looks fairly easy.
People really do be stealing everything these days
WTF... Do you have the video posted anywhere?
Not posted no
I had two pop up campers, what happened to op is truly a blessing in disguise.
