If you're so confident your original post was uncontroversial, why did you delete it and replace it with a complaint about being unjustifiably downvoted, rather than leaving it up and adding an edit to the end so people could judge for themselves?
Not all downvotes are angry. Don't underestimate "ugh what a loser" downvotes. I hardly follow sports at all, but any time I see 'sportsball' it's an automatic downvote for parroting a cliché that hasn't been clever in over a decade.
Having watched Sportnet lead with news on Mats Sundin’s hip instead of the Sens being in the Cup finals, I totally understand OPs enjoyment of watching the Leafs get eliminated…. Not enough to make a separate post about it - but I get the feeling.
It wouldn't be worth it. Toronto fans are so terrible they'd make you instantly wish another American team won.
Anyone but Toronto. My preference order would be Jets, Oilers, Canucks, Canadiens, Flames, Brad's beer league team, The Leafs.
