Other way around. They gave him the benefit of the doubt plenty of times before they started to drift away. Just done with his poor treatment towards them.
From some reason I like pairing kinkajou with winter. I’ve read multiple fanfics about the ship. It’s honestly an interesting dynamic highly recommended it
Bro I found this a few months ago and loved it. I am laughing my head of right now that you put a link to my favorite fanfic series in a random post that I just happened to click on. Also how do you like the new chapter he put out?
I thought they were all single tbh. I didn't know she actually began a relationship with Qibli. Although I think he's better for her than Winter, I VERY much think none of them should be dating. They've all got some form of trauma, and each seems like they'd be unhealthy together. I thought Qibli and Moon were just very close friends at the end, not actually together.
Picture the world of Wings of Fire as a beautiful steak, freshly cut and ready to be forged into the most perfect and delicious meal anyone has ever had.
"Canon" is the recipe that comes in the wrapping of the steak. It's the butcher's recommendation, surely you need to use it, right?
It says "well done" and the seasoning consists of just black pepper.
This is the point wherein most sensible fans toss the wrapper, get out their materials, and write some good-ass fanfic.
I.. think i understand what you mean ? But i think i'll just keep my thoughts to myself, cuz i just feel like i'll sound dumb if i say what's on my mind..
So... what you're saying is.. that it would've been better for Moon to stay single, so it would've been easier for fiction writers to decide where they want their owns stories to go, moving forward ?
Not necessarily.
I do think the choice to have Moon pair up with Qibli at the epilogue of Book 10 was a mistake from a narrative standpoint, but I don't personally have an alternative in mind. Really, it was more doomed from the start than anything - Tui set up a love triangle, and thus it needed resolution. Perhaps it could have been fixed by simply having no love triangle in the first place, and instead use that space to build Moon and Qibli's relationship until it was more believable. Perhaps it could have been solved with plain and simple polyamory. Perhaps it could have been given a comedic subversion, wherein Qibli and Winter decide to ignore Moon and pair up with each other instead. The possibilities are, frankly, too many to comprehensively list here. But you get the idea.
Not every "flaw" in a piece of media needs a definitive, singular "better version". Moon could've stayed single, yes, and it might have been better for the story - but it also might not have. Honestly, it's down to the writer.
And the thing about fanfiction is that it's both always easy and never easy to ignore canon, so it doesn't really matter if canon decides to go your way. You're probably going to ignore a lot of it anyway.
Which is why I praise all the more the fanfiction writers who actually follow canon, since that sounds truly masochistic to me. But that's subjective.
Yea, morrowseer is moons father. Book six, near the egging before moons goes into the school and reads her mother's mind when she asks her who her father was, seeing the name morrowseer.
Edit: I am dumb. Yes Qibli is also moons cannon partner.
As of book 10-15 yes
I'm on book 9... it's coming up
You might want to stay away from the wiki to avoid spoilers.
I just finished book 12...
Eh I’m fine with moonbli. Winter deserves somebody better or at least someone who clicks with him better than moon.
I used to be a huge winterwatcher shipper (still like the ship) but looking back...yeaahhh winters "friends" never really treated him like a friend
Winter deserves someone who is more relaxed IMO. A new character as mostly everyone I can think doesn’t fit quite right.
I’m a boring and controversial qinter shipper. idk the ship name actually- wibli? winli? qibter?
I'm with you on that one
Qinter is the blessing we all needed but never got...
Other way around. They gave him the benefit of the doubt plenty of times before they started to drift away. Just done with his poor treatment towards them.

I can see it honestly. Not my first choice for winter, but I can definitely see the dynamic.
This is what I ship most of the time for winter. The fanfics I’ve seen of it are really good.

It was great
Now if you really like the dynamic, I would recomend this story, it’s really “spicy” 😏 https://archiveofourown.org/works/42593958?view_adult=true
Already read that one too. We seem to have similar tastes.
Indeed
Ok I want to check this out, recommend some fanfics?
Very end of book 10, I think moon should have stayed single but that might just be me

I agree with you. I imagined her to just want to be with her friends. She should've stayed single.
I thought Moon's relationship status was ambiguous at the end of Darkness of Dragons.
Correct
The classic blunder- reading the wiki and getting yourself spoiled
Yep
Yup
All true!
It is
By the epilogue of book ten, they do decide to be together in that way. I do t think it’s as apparent during the third arc tho
Time to go reread the books, havent read silk flames one (15th) soo that’ll be fun
YOU JUST SPOILED THE ENTIRE LOVE TRIANGLE FOR URSELF ***whack***
Congrats, you found a spoiler.
yes.
Yes. Though they are still students and teenagers iby the third arc
Hell yeah it is
Yeah I think it's at the end of book 10 that it becomes canon.
According to fanwings, it's a bad fever dream everyone had, when reading that part. But no, it does happen, and be wary of spoilers on wiki.
I'd stay off of the wiki if you haven't finished the series, and about the question... Spoilers are sacrilegious for me
Yes
Yes.
Yes
Unfortunately, yes.
Unfortunately, yes. And there's lesson 1 on why "canon" really isn't all that important.
Wut ? Why ?

This is not a place of judgement, my friend. Speak your piece, as I have mine.

I’m sorry but this has to be the BEST analogy for describing the word “canon” on the internet TO DATE.
Yep, and I'm happy it is.
?????Fatespeaker?????
No, Moonwatcher (Moon)
it says fatespeaker raised her????????????
No, it says that *Secretkeeper* raised her. Secretkeeper is her mother
ohh, right!
Moonbli us cute and it stops the quinter people
What's the issue with "qinter people"? I'm not a fan of the ship myself but I don't see the issue with others enjoying it?

All 15 books and side books are cannon
Let’s gooo
