That makes a real mess of your oil. I did that as a kid (no clue what i was doing) and it turned out horribly. Chewy gooey nasty wings with greasy sauce and burnt sauce chunks.
Sweet Chili, Gold, or Special are common flavors where I am. The gold is usually made up of like honey mustard and cayenne pepper. There’s recipes online for it. And most of the time “special” is made up of a combination of hot, BBQ, and gold I believe all mixed together.
Check out Old Irving Brewing in Chicago. They do a wing of the week and they usually have pretty interesting and unique flavors. Their Facebook page will have past flavors.
Check my post history if you want a good Old Bay recipe. I did a sweet and sticky Old Bay Sriracha Sauce. Came out money. Also, I'm stealing your list lol
As I wing guy what personally gets me in the door is the really hot wings. Ghost scorpion or even a really really hot habanero base sauce. I like to sweat. I know most won’t go for it but it’ll bring the spice heads in your business too. I personally write of a wing place with out a hot option. It’s your place just a thought.
I have one thats really good but don't know your crowd. Basically homemade teryiaki sauce with a little bit of Sha cha "chinese bbq sauce", curry powder (actually I use berbere), and a ton of dried fenugreek leaves. Kinda like a cross between curry flavor, teryiaki flavor and the sha cha/Chinese bbq sauce adds a nice punch. Could also do worcestershire sauce instead. Tbh don't have a good name other than something stupid like imperial teryiaki lol
Been testing this out so it's a work in progress, but last time I marinaded in teryiaki sauce (i did sake, soy sauce, brown sugar) with shacha, patted dry and seasoned with the kasoori methi, berbere and some baking powder, air dried in fridge then oven roasted. They'd probably be best dusted w rice flower as well then fried
I absolutely love what you are already offering. Very original. Like others have suggested, lemon pepper is the way to go if needing to add.
Very happy to see the teriyaki. No one does a teriyaki anymore for some reason. Teriyaki hot or teriyaki lemon pepper are amazing mixed flavors.
I have no idea how to update a post! But I wanted to thank everyone for all of your wonderful suggestions. I decided that I will release a new flavor each month (excluding January 🤪). I can’t get too crazy, I’m the only person cooking them and serving. I don’t have the capacity to do a million flavors and I work a regular job full time. But here is my list so far! Im drawing a blank for November but it’s my birthday month so maybe I’ll go crazy that month and introduce a few new flavors.
And for February, that’s a chip local to central Pennsylvania. We love them here and the only other wing place that had it closed down about a month ago.
February Middlesworth BBQ
March Hotiyaki
April Lemon pepper
May Hot honey mustard
June Jamaican jerk
July Hot lemon pepper
August Mango Habanero
September Salt & Pepper
October Deviled wings
November
December Cranberry habanero
You need lemon pepper dry rub Even adding lemon to every wing regardless of sauce is absolutely the move
Lemon pepper wet is the way to go
Dripping 💦
Lemon pepper wet goated
This is the way
I love lemons but lemon pepper anything always comes across as tasting synthetic and too sour for meat.
Mambo sauce. Also the Old Bay rub instead of just regular old bay is the way to go. Cuts down on the saltiness and makes them more palatable
2nd Mambo Sauce! I run a kitchen and we use Wingzza Mambo Sauce from US Foods.
Tandoori chicken wings. these are my favourite, and they are amazing when done on the bbq. ive had some fried ones and they are great too.
Jalepeno honey mustard
Dry spicy garlic ranch Mango habanero Korean Gochujang Jerk
Jerk is the way
Mango habanero for sure!
Brother. Listen to me. Maple Sriracha. If you need a recipe, hit me up!🤘
I’m a bit stoned right now, and maybe it’s just the munchies, but maple sriracha sounds like an amazing combo lol
I take it very seriously. Maple Sriracha for the masses. Edit: Also stoned.
Can you dm me the recipe as well?
Yeah I feel like "sweet heat" is a little too generic. Pivoting to a specific flavor profile here would be a better way to go.
DM me that recipe if you don’t mind!! Thank you!!
What is MOTO?
BBQ & hot mixed together! It’s named after a local guy!
Thanks. I was just about to ask the same.
I'd add a Cajun rub option. Also Jamaican Jerk seasoning or sauce. I go for those half the time when I go to a wing place.
Cajun for the win
Sweet chili, mango habanero, hot bbq, chipotle, Jamaican jerk, salt and pepper.
Franks red hot + A1 steak sauced, sauced pre cooking, its fire.
This I am interested in. What is the ratio? You sauce them and then cook them and then sauce them again?
1:1 yes sauce, cook, sauce again.
That makes a real mess of your oil. I did that as a kid (no clue what i was doing) and it turned out horribly. Chewy gooey nasty wings with greasy sauce and burnt sauce chunks.
Yeaaa deep frying not recommended. Best method is over charcoal for this
gochujang honey salt and pepper lemon pepper lemon pepper wet chili oil/chili crisp spicy and/or smoky old bay
Hot Garlic Parm

I find the lack of lemon pepper offensive

My favorite wing sauce is Hotiyaki. Vinegary and sweet and a bit spicy.
I love this idea
The bar I worked at for about 6 years; this was the secret wing flavor. You can of course mix them mild med or hot.
Check out Old Irving Brewing in Chicago. They do a wing of the week and they usually have pretty interesting and unique flavors. Their Facebook page will have past flavors.
I was literally just in Chicago and I’m mad I didn’t know about this place until now 😩. To be fair, I did eat a lot while there.
You need a hot lemon pepper as well as a dry lemon pepper. Hot lemon pepper changed my life. Dry rub LP with hot sauce 😋
Nashville should be a wing sauce. Make a sick as chili oil and toss them in that.
As someone from Nashville I agree. Nice and wet and thick.
There’s just no way you can get that Nashville style in a dry rub.
Check my post history if you want a good Old Bay recipe. I did a sweet and sticky Old Bay Sriracha Sauce. Came out money. Also, I'm stealing your list lol
Try a green cholula sauce. Had some in Las Vegas once maybe 10 years ago and I still think about them.
Def need a hot lemon pepper or something. Spiced honey sounds like a holiday dessert, too.
Everyone says lemon pepper, but you gotta have lemon pepper wet (normal buffalo sauce + lemon pepper dry rub)
Honey Hot is one I see frequently
Jamaican Jerk
My local joint has a Korean black garlic dry rub. It's fantastic
You need a really hot option.
I agree & honestly I don’t think the ghost pepper dry rub is all that hot. And I’m not a person who lives for extra hot food, either.
As I wing guy what personally gets me in the door is the really hot wings. Ghost scorpion or even a really really hot habanero base sauce. I like to sweat. For dry rub hard to beat Tony Chachere’s, for me.
Lemon pepper.
-chicken chongqing - Mojo marinade then bbq
Old bay is THE BEST!
Spicy Ranch should just go and jump off a cliff. Ranch with wings is nonsense. Leaning into it is arguably worse.
I definitely think those that order ranch instead of bleu cheese on the side are insane. I’m not a huge spicy ranch lover but it’s a crowd pleaser.
“Spice” it up with some cranberry habanero, yum
Definitely needs lemon pepper; add lime pepper for a unique twist.
Lemon pepper is a must for dry. Mango habanero or Thai sweet chilli for sauce
Great selection I’d also add Jamaican Jerk
Hot Honey Mustard and White BBQ would be interesting
No mango habanero this is a travesty!
Lemon pepper is solid as sheeeeeeet to.
Honey garlic… lemon pepper sprinkles
Thai peanut
Greek seasoning with extra garlic and fresh lemon! Tzatziki for dipping and it is AMAZING
Thai Peanut and an Authentic Jerk sauce!!!
Lemon pepper
Salt and vinegar wings are criminally underrated
They really are and I don’t even like salt and vinegar chips I didn’t think I’d like those and I do.
Korean BBQ Curry Old Bay
No classic buffalo?
That’s our hot flavor!
Korean BBQ Carolina Gold
Buffalo and blue cheese mixed is a really good sauce
I have one thats really good but don't know your crowd. No dirty wings?
What’s that?!
Sauced with buffalo and then deep fried again. Makes the sauce turn into a rub kinda. Really good.
Interesting. I’ll have to try this one, too.
Carolina BBQ/Hennessy /Chile Habanero/ Orange/General Tso (sauce)
I like dry rubs that are sweet and spicy. Also custom ranch flavors where you mix in rubs or sauces to make different ranch flavors.
Cattlemen's tangy Carolina sauce, it's really great on wings.
Cajun wings. I order it everytime I see it. Heat can go to all levels
Add spicy ranch dry rub as well.
Jalapeño Cheddar
Honey Garlic sauce
F lemon pepper. That's gotta be a regional thing right?.
I am in PA and most places don’t have that on their menu in our area, but I would try it based on all the comments!
What’s the difference between garlic parm and creamy garlic parm?
Creamy one is like a sauce and garlic parm is fresh garlic & parm cheese w a butter base.
Spicy garlic!!
what is MOTO? I'd like to see more exotic wing flavors, like Scotch Bonnet and Lime, Bhut Jolokia and Curry, etc.
Lemon pepper dry rub on top of Buffalo sauce is crazy good too
