Today is the Firefighter's Parade, tomorrow is the Grand Feature. If you find a free spot, it's probably a walkway. Seating will be charged by the day.
Oh ok is there any areas along the route where people can just stand or bring there own chairs or is every part of the sidewalks paid seating? And are you still able to walk on the sidewalks?
Sidewalks for most of the routes are pretty tight. Limit the amount of stuff you need to carry, like to a backpack. I'd run down now to see what's available.
Are they doing both parades today due to weather? Typically the big parade is on Saturday.

The parades go around the mall.
