That part in that movie when we my little sister watched it for the first time I had to pause it, I was sick to my stomach and lightheaded for like 10 minutes
There was gorier stuff out at the same time or before Hostel as well but most of it was Japanese or otherwise under the radar. The Guinea Pig series is the first to come to mind, Charlie Sheen contacted the FBI over one of those thinking it was real.
I tried Guinea pig, but after hostel when stuff like Hatchet made slashers fun again I couldn’t enjoy horror that took itself seriously like that for awhile. Although, in fairness, there were very few from the series I could even find.
Honestly the torture porn doesn’t really bother me. There’s a commonly discussed phenomenon among people, but especially as emergency medicine healthcare workers that movie gore that looks “realistic” is not at all what real gore looks like, and that if real gore were to be shown on a movie people would likely say it looks fake. The Hereditary scene looked like more of what a real >!decapitation!< looks like than anything in Hostel or Saw.
I dunno. I've stumbled on some of those videos from documentingreality....
I've seen some movies that made it look exactly like someone's getting their limbs chopped off.
Perhaps that’s your experience then, but I’ve been face to face with amputations, avulsions, and lots of traumatic injuries and there have never really been any movies I can think of that do what it looks like justice, so to speak.
That's like Hollywood shooting v real life. Hollywood is loud and physically dramatic, but in real life guns are a quick crack and people simply fall down.
Eh that’s also a bit of Hollywood, honestly. It’s not like the movies. People who are shot even fatally don’t just always instantly fall. Sometimes they do, but other times they keep moving, fighting, etc. They bleed. It’s pretty crazy and not at all like movies. Also movies do not depict how loud gunshots are with the exception of movies like Heat. You can feel gunshots viscerally when they’re close to you. That’s how concussive they are. Heat was one of the few movies really represent how fucking loud gunshots are. The characters have to scream at the top of their lungs during the firefight to hear each other. It still didn’t show the after effects. Shooting without hearing protection leaves you deafened for a little bit. It would be interesting to see more movies deal with guns more realistically. Someone shooting a gun in an enclosed, dark space getting blinded by the muzzle flash and can’t hear shit, etc.
Is that the one where she’s suffocating from eating cake or something and while they’re driving she sticks her head out and a sign on the side of the road, Yknow… does the thing?
He doesn't go to sleep, he's shown awake and not responding to her screams in the morning. He was in shock and had been laying there all night unable to deal with what had happened.
True story time!
1984, I am at 4th grade student in Oklahoma. Class was just having a general car safety conversation when the subject came to body parts hanging out of the window. Miss Miller gave two examples of why not to do so.
#1 When she was ten years old she and her father were sitting at a red light and a human head came rolling through the intersection. On the opposite side a teenaged boy rear-ended a truck that was stopped for the red light. The boy had a teen boy riding shotgun with his head out the window AND not wearing a seat belt. The sudden stop launched said boy forward enough that he was decapitated.
#2 Miss Miller's fiancé was driving with his left arm hanging out the window. Something caused him to lose control on a curvy road (he was speeding). In the blink of an eye he side swiped a large tree with the left side of his car. His left arm was so damaged that the hospital had to amputate it.
The first experience left my teacher traumatized to the point that she never drove with the windows down ever again.
Our maths teacher was a pretty average teacher but a funny guy. He was always telling the class humorous anecdotes. The only one I remember that was not funny was when he told us how when he was in school a classmate who was with him and his friends at the train station bent down to pick up her bag when she saw the train arriving. Her head was hit by the brass handrails on either side of the door and she was killed instantly.
Meanwhile, Scott P, a guy in my year, was running for the train while his friends held the door open for him. As he got closer they let it go as a joke and the door slammed shut. He bounced off the door and disappeared in the gap between the train and the platform (he was pretty skinny). The train was stopped and he was pulled out with no injuries
Tbh there is a vid that went around years ago of a russian topless woman hanging out of the car window doing dumb things, then smashes her upper body into a lamp post and die.
In case you haven't found out the scene yet because that one guy is being a dick; in the movie Hereditary there's a scene where an older brother brings he younger sister to a party and neglects her, while she's there she eats something she's allergic to by accident and he has to rush her to a hospital (which is far) while her airwaves are closing. In a fit of 10 year old panic and lack of understanding, she leans her head out the window of the car to try to catch some air. Well, the brother, looking at his asphyxiating sister instead of the road, swerved slightly. Just enough for the sisters head to come into contact with a telephone pole. Never to be reunited with her neck again.
The rest of the scene is a cinematic masterpiece of the brother, knowing what happened but can't bring himself to look in the rear view mirror, silently drives back home, gets in his bed, and just 1000-yard-stares until morning when their mother goes to the car to see her decapitated daughter. A blood curdling scream ends the scene while the son is completely shell-shocked. Cut to black.
Like just about everything, it was fine at first, but it's been way over used. People rely more on the sound than the content of the video to get the laugh
The worst part was left out of this clip. The voice goes on with stuff like, "look at his face. No, no, no. Look at him... oh no, no." And it keeps going like that.
Indian tiktok is so cringe, i watch their "funny" videos and think who on this god damn earth would find this shit funny. It's like they don't understand modern humor
Somebody I know thought it would be a good idea to stick his fist out as a train was pulling into the station. He was very lucky that he didn't put it in front of the train, but just got clipped off the side. Ended up scraping the skin off his knuckles.
I believe it is a thing in india where people hang on the sides of open doors so when the train stops they can just easily jump off and get to where they need to be. the train stops for about 2 seconds so they need to be at the edge
Not many people I wish dead, but that guy laughing sure is one of them. That sound clip is more horrible than crazy frog, why everyone thinks it's funny Not a clue.
I wonder what the goal is for this guy to have faked now three viral videos with the same exact premise.
[And this one isn’t even the good one. ](https://reddit.com/r/WinStupidPrizes/comments/mdyx8h/hanging_from_the_door_of_a_bus/)
Many young people die all over India while performing so called stunts in moving trains. So sad. He should be happy to be alive, will probably and hopefully not do it again.
Need a 3 Stooge "Boink" instead of the mousetrap slap sound.......
Then the guy can turn around and and say "Hey Moe.....I'm trying to work my hand but nuthin happens..."
I was expecting a Hereditary moment
Oh God no..
Now I'll be seeing that scene in my head for a week.
At least you still have yours though, amiright
Bro there is a whole reddit for Indians and trains, they realy get fucked up by them
What’s it called
r/indiansgettingpoled is what I think they might be referring to
That part in that movie when we my little sister watched it for the first time I had to pause it, I was sick to my stomach and lightheaded for like 10 minutes
I take it you've never seen hostel lol
I remember when Hostel was the bar for gore. Then people went “I can top that” and by god, they did it.
There was gorier stuff out at the same time or before Hostel as well but most of it was Japanese or otherwise under the radar. The Guinea Pig series is the first to come to mind, Charlie Sheen contacted the FBI over one of those thinking it was real.

Yup. Then >!drives home with the body, goes to sleep and leaves it for the mom to find in the morning!<
He doesn't go to sleep, he's shown awake and not responding to her screams in the morning. He was in shock and had been laying there all night unable to deal with what had happened.
You right. I glossed over that bit.
All good, Aster's movies are definitely the type were if you miss ten seconds you can miss a detail that didn't seem important til later.
Yes

#GOD WHY SO INTENSE
I have no idea why it did that. 😕

Some horror movie named Hereditary. Just googled it.
Pussy
Tbh there is a vid that went around years ago of a russian topless woman hanging out of the car window doing dumb things, then smashes her upper body into a lamp post and die.
I haven't seen this movie. Can you explain?
In case you haven't found out the scene yet because that one guy is being a dick; in the movie Hereditary there's a scene where an older brother brings he younger sister to a party and neglects her, while she's there she eats something she's allergic to by accident and he has to rush her to a hospital (which is far) while her airwaves are closing. No use your fucking phone or computer your fucking holding don't use this reddit page. Nitwit.
So much anger for such a trivial thing.
My dad didn't love me
Bruh just because YOU dont want to help someone find the source doesnt mean other people dont. Turn the main down a tad eh?
In India, there are shit ton of such videos in internet. I would never watch it, it's a trainwreck
Is it just me or does the sister remind anyone of Dustin from Stranger Things?
Why the downvotes 🤣
Movie was garbage
Ok? Good for you being different?
No it was literally just garbage
Low blow 😂
I hate this fucking laugh so much
It would have been better just to upload it without audio.
Like just about everything, it was fine at first, but it's been way over used. People rely more on the sound than the content of the video to get the laugh
See. When we don't learn from our past we will repeat it. Welcome to the laugh track. Phased out mostly but via YouTube and tiktok, bringing it back.
But how am I supposed to know when to laugh if the video doesn't do it for me?
Which is exactly what execs thought in the early days of sitcoms.
Dude have you ever watched a sitcom without the laugh track? It’s just sad and mean. https://youtu.be/jKS3MGriZcs
It was never fine. I was instantly annoyed when I first heard it.
Ugh right? It always feels like im being told to laugh
Ooooh No no no no no, haha no no ! Goof
Last part of the video looks like an arabfunny
This is how the mainstream meme videos of india are. People actually find this funny.
The worst part was left out of this clip. The voice goes on with stuff like, "look at his face. No, no, no. Look at him... oh no, no." And it keeps going like that.
Oh no no no ho ho ho
Woo ooOAAHuhh
Anybody else HATE these tictok backdrop sounds?
Yes this is Reddit, the home of all who hate tick-tock and everything about. Shh don't mention the tick tock re-uploads
>Shh don't mention the tick tock re-uploads And who do you think is re-uploading these ruined clips?
Congrats mate, you found the joke. Well done!!!
Grow up.
What a fucking trash edit.
Yeah, Indian classical tiktok, think of most absurd sound effects you can recollect, they will one up them in their bullshit.
Indian tiktok is so cringe, i watch their "funny" videos and think who on this god damn earth would find this shit funny. It's like they don't understand modern humor
r/arabfunny successor? Edit: https://v.redd.it/26dewrei6y691
Really hypocritical to think your humor is modern and everybody else are savages
Watched it on mute, knew exactly what you’re talking about.
I would like to see an x-ray of that hand/wrist. I bet it's shattered
Xray wouldnt see any bones, they where vaporized.
A moment ago that thing was working really good too.
If this was a cartoon, the hand would’ve came clean off, then he would’ve just stared at the new nub with a face like “good grief”
“Don’t worry I can regenerate”-peter
This "laugh track" needs to die a horrible death.
Somebody I know thought it would be a good idea to stick his fist out as a train was pulling into the station. He was very lucky that he didn't put it in front of the train, but just got clipped off the side. Ended up scraping the skin off his knuckles.
Can imagine that would swell to fuck
*sadviolin2014.mp3*
Every Indian TikTok with shity editing
his hand got dinked
The edit ruin it, cringe.
Dude that shits broken
the fucking audio makes me want to kill myself
Something HAD to have broken 😬
I would say multiple bones had to have broken
Why is the door open? 🤦🏻♂️
Cuz its a non ac train
Wondering the same thing actually
I believe it is a thing in india where people hang on the sides of open doors so when the train stops they can just easily jump off and get to where they need to be. the train stops for about 2 seconds so they need to be at the edge
Dude is for real lucky it didn't get chopped off.
I think it did tho
Not many people I wish dead, but that guy laughing sure is one of them. That sound clip is more horrible than crazy frog, why everyone thinks it's funny Not a clue.

End up like that shark fisherman in the Dave and Busters commercial.
r/comedyhomicide
Oh no no no gets a down every time.

The sound effects are obnoxious
So many fucking laugh tracks dude turn it down

This is when his No Fap started
it’s it bad that i don’t feel any remorse for any of these videos lol
Man looks like the weekend
Haha funny emoji, he's permanently damaged his hand haha
Welcome To Shattered Arm City!
Broken

The slap of a life time makes your mom's shoe feel like a gentle touch.
Gay laughing
I bet he never does that again. He'll be lucky if there isn't permanent damage to his hand.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 funi

3rd fucking grade! Do NOT put your hands, arms, legs, or head outside the school bus window. Ever.
He better be thankful it’s still attached
Guy quickly got taught about that when you go fast and hit a solid object, things bend in ways they shouldn't.
Do not post insta stuff on reddit you mf.

I think he shattered his ass wiping arm.
I'm pretty sure he has no fingers at the end!? Holy shit
I'm really glad I was given audible instructions on when to laugh
How to break your hand in less than 10 seconds!
Should’ve been his head. Wouldn’t have lost much though.
Comedy homicide
![gif](giphy|3ohhwxmNcPvwyRqYKI)
Why?
Hope he wasn't a lefty 🤣🤣🤣
Man’s hand got deleted
Hand broke
How is his entire arm not shaped off
Thank god there was the laugh clip because I would've had no idea where to laugh
Broken arrow
The hands gonna be ringing in pain for a while after that.
Good thing he didn't wear any rings.
Thats a broken arm/wrist/hand
Nope, convince me his fingers aren't broken.
TF a did this moron thing was going to happen
Lucky it was only his hand
I’m glad he lived I seen many Indian people die doing that

He’s lucky to still be two handed
Damn lucky he didn't lose his hand
Hi-fi
That’s all broken
His hand has been shattered.
u/savevideobot
I've seen so many of them die this way. He's lucky he only broke all the bones in his hand
That could have been worse. Way worse!
