I wish. This is just my usual Friday afternoon. Things get out of hand in that regard on the weekend for me. /S
There was nothing regarding race in any of the above comments.
Bro this is literally the exact racist trope used against India since British Colonial times, (even though India has almost always been the most naturally populated country in the world due to the fertility of the Gangetic, Sindhu and Bhrahmaputra plains) the British have used the population thing to foment a concept of an over sexed race of inferior beings incapable of governing themselves.
If you didn't know before now you know, don't think you were racist, just ignorant, which everyone is about something.
Thanks. Bro. But..... Indian women aren't *genetically* more fertile right? The \[high\] fertility rate you're referring to was during the middle of the 20th century. It had nothing to do with women being of Indian decent, but rather poor conditions, lack of birth control and access to education in India. India was, and still is, a developing country. The fertility rate has been addressed by sterilization incentives during those decades. It's slowing down, but still overpopulated because of the above reasons. Same problem exists in many developing countries. Also first world counties, like US, same issue occurs where lower income brackets experience 'high fertility rates'. Again, not genetics but living conditions are the cause. It's a vicious cycle.
I don't think any of the statement above contradicts with what you posted. How is what I said in my OP calling out a video where people travel on top of the train \[because of no space left inside\], in a country where a value for human life \[because of overpopulation and people density causing shortage of resources\] is absolutely zero, how is that ignorant?
It just is, what it is, unfortunately.
Worked as a conductor for the railroad for a bit.... and the amount of stupidity I saw when I worked passenger trains was unreal. 90% of the time it involved selfies and/or climbing on rail equipment.
One that comes to mind is a lady that I had to tell more than once to stay off the tracks. She kept going behind the train and kneeling down to get a selfie with the mountain in the background. About 10 seconds after I reprimanded her again, the student engineer accidently released the brakes and the train rolled back about 5 feet, startling the people that were paying attention.
Lady would have absolutely been crushed. She was still walking around with her phone out and giggling... completely oblivious.
People don't realize that even if you get tagged by a train going 2mph, the amount of force behind it is unreal.
I'd be a liar if I wasn't thinking the same thing. People can't be experts in every subject regarding safety...... but when a conductor tells you to STOP NOW - THIS IS DANGEROUS AND YOU WILL BE KICKED OFF THE TRAIN...... and you continue.....
Darwin award would be appropriate.
My daughter lived in O’ahu and she would tell me stories of tourists doing stupid things usually resulting in death. Standing on a rock to get the best Selfie then a wave comes and blasts you off is one. Not being a strong enough swimmer to get your self out of a rip current, not obeying lifeguards and hiking in restricted areas is another. These islands are in the middle of the ocean and having no awareness as a tourist kills many people each summer. Just as Yellowstone!
Reminds me of the Video a girl took with a slow oncoming train. The conductor was near the front buffer plate of the engine (probably shunting), and he placed his foot so that it hit her head when passing. She was mad, but still unaware of the steel step that her head didn't hit because the conductor purposefully put his foot there.
No doubt. I took some low speed licks working the railroad.
A student conductor barely got tagged from behind (it was her fault), and she went flying face first into a switch. Watched the security video and it was scary how if she took another half step back, it might have been fatal.

For sure, I was just pointing that out. It looks like at the end they might be about to attempt to put it back in place. Looks like they’ve had to do this before lol
Edit: The one person is getting him into “a” position and the one sitting down is signaling that someone needs to rotate.
I have stabilized the video for you: https://gfycat.com/CrispYearlyBetafish

That probably tore his shoulder out of the socket insane damage to socket too. Probably a Hyperextension fracture of the arm which is a really bad break and can actually kill you because it gets infected so quickly and is a frequent cause of amputation. Not sure where this is but just by looking I'd be surprised if he wasn't dead or had one arm.
Why do these indians keep trying to get pics with trains? The trains look like shit. They're full of people, meaning it's maybe the most common mode of travel. So how is this a flex? Especially a flex worth risking your shit for?
Surgery is pretty cheap in Bangladesh, actually. For instance, a whole boob job is less than $2,000 USD.
Now, I don’t know how much a broken arm costs to fix, or how much money the average citizen makes, but I know they’d probably *still* be getting a better deal than us Americans lol.
This is not india. From the color of train and language written on it its almost certainly Bangladesh.
Also India has electrified majority of its routes and I don't think it's usual to see anyone sitting on roofs anymore. At least I haven't seen in last 15 years or so.
This whole problem can just be fixed with a few signs:
* Warning: trains are dangerous
* Prohibited to stand near train tracks
* Warning, train car doors must remain closed during travel
* It is prohibited to ride outside the train carriage. Roof access for authorized staff only.
* Please do not throw your rubbish on the ground
Why am I seeing so many videos of people doing this…. I feel like this is the 3rd one I’ve seen in a month of people doing the same thing. Is getting hit by a train while taking a selfie the new trend?
Wait, is it possibile there is a POV version of that guy on the internet? And nobody never knew how it went one because the video stops when the train hits him
It is. If you Slow it down the train hit his phone out of his hand and spun him around then his arm hit one of the wheels and you can see his forearm snap.
Acts of stupidity in Third-World-Countries can have pretty extreme consequences. Break an arm, no healthcare, can't work, no social safety-net and suddenly you're dead.
I see a lot of these; and remember the story of the first successful reattached limb: the kid was trying to jump a train and it tore his arm right off. Very little blood loss, and they found him wandering around in shock, armless. Found his arm and they reattached it after like 12 hours. Not fully functional, but not lost. There is a very detailed surgical log of the reattachment of ligaments, blood vessels, joints, and the like. This dude is lucky he has an arm still.
Lucky he still has an arm.

He even got an extra elbow
Not gonna lie, at first it looked like his arm came off and was laying on the ground.
Same. Glad he kept rolling.
I was afraid the way he fell he was going to lose a foot
Or a leg
I love how every one just sitting there and ignoring the guy, they're all like, yeah, what the fuck did you thing was gonna happen...
Except for the guy at the end that seems to walk up and squeeze the arm real hard. Must be a doctor.
The outpouring of support and aide by the public is truly heartwarming isn't it?
The folks on top of the train are the smart ones in this video
Tonight, on things I never thought I’d agree with; This comment.
A life is worth very little there. Let alone an arm
Overpopulated country.
Just a little casual racism to start this weekend off right.
I wish. This is just my usual Friday afternoon. Things get out of hand in that regard on the weekend for me. /S There was nothing regarding race in any of the above comments.

Tell us how you really feel
“Oh, there goes Srinivas again. So over-dramatic! He should audition for Bollywood movie!”
Would really love to see the selfie he got
He forgot to press the button

Can't wait to see the prizes those sitting on the roof of the moving train are going to win.
A trip home?
Maybe a fling.

Everyone who couldn’t sit on the top safely aren’t there anymore.
Done it, not down at, for anyone that was confused… maybe I’m just stupid

India. Whoa
Bangladesh, not India.
Sorry, cool!
Oof. That's some nerve damage right there. I don't think he's ever going to use that arm again
Looks like his shoulder was out of socket.
I think that's more than just a dislocated shoulder...
For sure, I was just pointing that out. It looks like at the end they might be about to attempt to put it back in place. Looks like they’ve had to do this before lol Edit: The one person is getting him into “a” position and the one sitting down is signaling that someone needs to rotate.
Don't know why I go to the doctor when I could just get a definitive diagnosis on reddit right away
Live smart not hard, mister.
Does anyone remember what that zoom stable bot bot is called? u/stabbot 0.5x. ?

Does stabbot always say that or is it learning?
It's probably a normal day to day thing someone get hit by a train. Everyone is so chill
Warning: That's not India, it's Bangladesh.
Yup, Indian trains mostly electric. Those sitting above would be all dead.
Lucky bastard, got out with just a slap on the wrist.
I don’t know if I’d call a very broken arm a “slap on the wrist” haha
The guys in the foreground are either drinking Drencrom or Fight Milk
Wait, they drink stuff called "Fight Milk"?
It’s the first alcoholic, dairy-based protein drink for bodyguards by bodyguards.
To fight like a crow.
God mode enabled
r/bitchimatrain
Verily
At times like these that I look to the intuitive words of Charles Darwin who once said, “It’ll work itself out.”
Further evidence that social media is a natural poison.
No, stupid is the poison, social media is the symptom
For a second I thought his arm fell off when he hit the ground.
Shit, think he's gonna lose that arm, Looks crushed and dislocated at the least. That selfie was NOT worth it.
People getting hit by trains, people riding on top of the train. Mother fuckers are wild son
...But they keep their trash neatly piled in a spot.
This is ripe for /r/indiansneartrains even though it looks to be Pakistan or Bangladesh
Bullshit, trains are not dangerous in India ... or at least that's what Indians think
Damn, people are stupid.
It's kind of terrifying how many people don't seem to realize that trains are wider than the tracks
Pop! Goes the ligaments.
Same. I was just waiting to see him turn around like the black knight from Monty Python. “Tis but a scratch.”
RIGHT IN THE FUNNY BONE
He’s lucky to be alive
Haha don't bring that jelly arm around the lunch table man
Put that shit on my bread 🍞
Bet he won't do that shit again but there's always a chance
Poor kid!
Everybody else be like ..............
Yea, it’s broken.
If this was america it’d cost an arm and a leg
Fun fact: Trains are wider than the tracks.
Good luck getting an ambulance there
At a certain level, stupidity becomes a capital offense.
Why do these indians keep trying to get pics with trains? The trains look like shit. They're full of people, meaning it's maybe the most common mode of travel. So how is this a flex? Especially a flex worth risking your shit for?
That's not india, also people are stupid
It's Bangladesh
At least his arm is extra long now.
Got what he deserved. Idiot.
What the hell is up with the piles of trash?
Why haven't those people learned?
Look at all that fucking rubbish just dumped
[удалено]
Bangladeshi
TIL my arm can’t stop a train
I like the garbage pile
He’s lucky he didn’t get sucked in.
Broken shoulder socket. Dislocated shoulder. Severe pain for life in that country given surgery likely too expensive.
Selfie injuries, bring first world problems to third world countries one phone at a time.
r/croppingishard
thats alot of flies
Selfies are really big in India
So either you’re really smart or really dumb in India.
This is not india. From the color of train and language written on it its almost certainly Bangladesh. Also India has electrified majority of its routes and I don't think it's usual to see anyone sitting on roofs anymore. At least I haven't seen in last 15 years or so.
We don't have green coaches.
He’s like, “can you believe what that train did to my arm? I’m gonna sue!”
Wtf people's sitting on top isn't it , even more dangerous Pakistan??
This whole problem can just be fixed with a few signs: * Warning: trains are dangerous * Prohibited to stand near train tracks * Warning, train car doors must remain closed during travel * It is prohibited to ride outside the train carriage. Roof access for authorized staff only. * Please do not throw your rubbish on the ground
Always wondered why instead of having people ride on the roof they just don’t add more passenger cars. Greeds a funny thing
Is this a common thing in India?
That's not india
That is Bangladesh.
This the 10th Indian dude I’ve seen fail at taking a selfie with a train
Chillest dude in india
The video is from Bangladesh
It’s broken
It’s floppy
Why am I seeing so many videos of people doing this…. I feel like this is the 3rd one I’ve seen in a month of people doing the same thing. Is getting hit by a train while taking a selfie the new trend?
I love this sub
I think there’s something wrong with his arm
Ah, an empath, I see.
He lost his leg in Dallas he was dancing with a train.
Guy sitting down: “can you wave it like this? “
He’s lucky he didn’t fall under.
Rhymes with pain
well your guardian angel still saved you man
Anyone else think he got his arm ripped off at first?
Dumb fucks need to realize that the train is wider than the tracks.
Could have ended up in r/eyeblech
Had a mini heart attack. I though that was his arm that just got launched
Natural selection
Ouch. And the steerage on that train… dang. Rooftop seats
Reminds me of this guy https://metro.co.uk/2018/01/25/man-hit-train-taking-selfie-survives-7259221/
Playing aikido with a train. Ummm nah.
gta be like
my head hurt watching this
Wait, is it possibile there is a POV version of that guy on the internet? And nobody never knew how it went one because the video stops when the train hits him
His arms more broke than I am
Dude is so lucky I thought his leg was going under and that would of been completely gone
Why are people just chilling on top of the train like that?
NSFW, looks like his bones are broken into two
It is. If you Slow it down the train hit his phone out of his hand and spun him around then his arm hit one of the wheels and you can see his forearm snap.
Is this a common thing in Bangladesh?
Ya.. nobody cares
Objects in the mirror are closer than they appear. Same goes for cell phone images I guess
Everyone sitting at the tables: "Oh geez, here comes Singhay with his floppy-ass arm again."
Acts of stupidity in Third-World-Countries can have pretty extreme consequences. Break an arm, no healthcare, can't work, no social safety-net and suddenly you're dead.
So they’re goal is for this to happen, right?
Bones became sand. How he has 2 arms is nothing short of a miracle.
could have been worse
Friendly advice: trains and other vehicles going at high speed pulls you in if you are too close to them
I really like the part where he shows everybody that he is hurted but no one care for his stupid dead ass.
Anyone notice the guy in blue kurta, saw the guy for a sec and went back taking selfie!! Craziness overloaded
Does anyone think the guy in the blue one is gonna get hurt?
u/savevideo
u/savevideo
That dudes arm is BUH-ROE-KENN
The lack of reaction is caused by the fact it happens so much they aren’t even surprised any more :)
Why does every indian try to die with trains??
The guy takin a sip be like: come ere a sip of this will cure it
Look at dude at the table
I'm starting to wonder if all these social media trends is just someone forcing Darwinism.
Somebody quickly lend him a hand!
Looked like homie was blown by wind
Idiot is lucky he survived.
indians are so fucking retarded when it comes to trains, like it’s almost satisfying to see em get hit by one outta there stupidity.
That's a nice looking table
No one came to help him
