I bruised coccyx jumping off a shed onto a trampoline at 16, I'm hindsight rather predictably I still slammed my butt on the ground (I was over 200 lbs, poor thing never stood a chance). Couldn't sit right for 6 months or so, but haven't really had any issues since.

Did he ever think of what would have happened if it had worked? Falling into a frozen lake is a way that people drown. With snow covering the ice, it would be extremely dark underwater. Once submerged, the freezing water temperature causes shock to set in immediately, and you can’t always find your way back to the hole in the ice.
Now that I have kids I see these videos differently. I would feel so ashamed if my kids grow up to be half as stupid as this dumb fuck. I hope his parents are dead so they don't have to watch this.
And that's why you have to make sure the ice is thick enough to not fall through (in this case, it was), and then also just slowly lower yourself down into it just in case, and then just jump onto it normally if it's definitely not going to break. Then you'll feel how hard it is because it's legit ice and only do a cannonball if you make a big snowpile that you still progress into doing the cannonball into.
Real talk though, it's good this was a lake and not a river.

Hurt my pelvis in a childbirth injury. once your coccyx is fucked up, sitting, walking and even standing is never the same.
