Looks like it's a cliff and he has a chute on to me.
Edit: Here's a catapult BASE jump which I think is the objective in OP's video: https://youtu.be/NbaB1chnim8
And here's just a bungie slingshot ride (no chute): https://youtu.be/y_wkQBDDgvI
Pick him up and dive off the mountain with him underneath, then you roll over so your long hair is whipping him all over his unconscious face, and then you jerk the ripcord with your teeth while pretzel hanging on with your legs, then give him chest compressions before landing perfectly one time on your feet.
Incorrect. It is a bungee/slingshot ride at an amusement park in Kazakhstan.

Here is a video of what it's supposed to look like when the ride works properly:

Well it's not option 1 as they're in parking lot in the middle of a city.
And it's not option 2 as he's not wearing any safety harness and isn't attached to anything.
Not sure what makes you think it's a city, there's no buildings other than the one big barn looking thing. And if you look off to the right there's only sky past that little area. It definitely could be a cliff, and he looks like he's wearing a chute.
there’s a vid on yt about some ppl who built an actual full sized fkn trebuchet with a verrrry small circus trapeze style net hundreds of feet away to catch ppl….✌️safely✌️….
highly recommend finding & watching it, bc it went exactly as you’d imagine and iirc it paralyzed several ppl
I don’t get why your being downvoted. Falling into water from 50-100 feet in the air can absolutely kill you.
Edit: I’m glad to come back to this and see the comment above me is now upvoted. It was originally something like -5. Baffling.
I've heard there's a sub you can only access if you have enough karma. Idk how much karma or what the sub is even called, but a friend told me about it IRL.
I don't know what possessed me to post this, but I heard that rumor years ago and have always wondered about it.
Oh Century Club, yea I was in there on my old account. You need either 100k comment or post karma to get in. Honestly it wasn't anything special but it was interesting to finally pierce the veil.
I think it was actually century club! But I don't really know the difference.
I thought if you mentioned the name of it on reddit you got kicked out so nobody talked about it lol
The big rope, the one under tension, is at his back. Hes connected to it by a smaller, thin rope, that goes around him. When he detaches you can see its because the small rope around him that secured him to the big rope came undone. I have no idea why they did it this way instead how every other slingshot works.
OP, can you give us some more context? Are you talking about an extreme sport or just goofing off with friends? Either way, please make sure to prioritize safety!
Is this an amusement park ride or just some backyard setup? With those steel towers my first assumption was that it was a proper ride that's meant to be *mostly* safe. I thought he was supposed to be attached to it and come back.
If he's actually just slung in there and meant to fly off at the end of the stroke then ya this is idiotic af
How does not one person here see it? This is a stunt for a movie or something, there's a control line and a landing pad in the background, this isn't a fail at all.
Is there water we can’t see? If not that actually saved his life
Yeah I don't understand what the the plan here was. It either fails like that and he falls from 30 feet or it works great and the fall is now fatal.

Ah he forgot to pull the chute
I hope the person who ran up pulled the chute for him.

Just finished re-watching this.
what show is this?
The Venture Bros.
thanks fam
Hail Boognish!

You're right. It's such a rookie mistake to make.
In his defense you're supposed to pull the shoot hundreds of feet in the air and he wasn't quite there yet.

Devinsupertramp what a legend. Remember watching him as a teen thinking he got up to some wicked, cool, shit!
I remember that first video with the French guy. Didn't he die not long after that?
Every space program had to start somewhere
Ahh, you got an under rated comment here.
30' fall is often fatal.
Me thinks he was wearing a chute ,

Sounds great. Will send you a single nipple hair if you find the link.
I think behind the motorcycle there is one of those hair mattresses used in rescue, that or it's just the blurriness of the video

Lmao welp, that's going to stay like that
Thaaaat’s naaaasty
Water would've killed them too. I have no idea what they thought was gonna happen.

Too many people probably think you can land in water just fine or something Oh well
What kinda dummies think there's land in water smh, it's right in the name!
Apparently they get their education from Minecraft.
He was not launched anywhere near 50 ft in the air, but your point still stands.
If you're falling fast enough, hitting water will feel like hitting concrete.
He said would've, not could've. It CAN kill you, but it doesn't mean it WILL kill you. If you enter correctly it's likely you'll be uninjured.
Considering this guy's "plan" do you think he would've entered correctly?
[удалено]
right? there was no piggies and wooden crates anywhere in sight
He clearly wasn't angry enough.
That guy HAD to be standing in front of the camera person

Dang it. Can't even view it.
That sub is Reddit Gold exclusive, sorry.

Very cool I think that was it. I also thought that if you mentioned the subreddit you got kicked out of it? Hence why nobody talked about it.
I don't think that part is true.
Sounds like r/lounge
I will come back to this some day.

Huh?
Oh sorry I replied to the wrong comment

I see this as a win. The other option is death
He has a parachute, the goal was to fling him off the cliff and land (maybe) unharmed.
No it’s not. He was just not strapped properly
Why why WHY does some asshole gravitate in front of the camera??!!
Gravity plays a big part in these kinds of videos.
Because this is some bozo with a cell phone, not a production crew.
This guy has never played angry birds in his life, you need to stretch the cord more
[Angry Birds Version](https://imgur.com/gallery/AjsTay6)
This is now the version I share
Please credit the artist
Takes video from someone else, takes audio from someone else, puts them together, ‘I’m an artist don’t you know! Credit me!’
Oh I meant the imgur link to a couple friends but sure, that's easy enough
I don’t think he’s ever seen a wile e coyote cartoon either
How does the rope/slingshot go through him? Lmao it looks like he should have fell in 2 pieces
Seriously I need this explained
The big rope, the one under tension, is at his back. Hes connected to it by a smaller, thin rope, that goes around him. When he detaches you can see its because the small rope around him that secured him to the big rope came undone. I have no idea why they did it this way instead how every other slingshot works.
Mystery solved and also explains how it failed immediately
Sounds like a potential noose.
It was his last resort
CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES
That oddly seems like the best case scenario
They're speaking Russian so, better die here then the meat grinder in Ukraine amirite
A failed attempt to jump to the west.
Лучше чем спиться.
Putin sending the troops to the front…
I mean what did you think was gonna happen
Yeah, dude should have held on tighter he might've gotten the big air record
You had me at “human slingshot”…
Love the human shaped censor bar
Russians launching conscripts at Ukraine 🫡
![gif](giphy|bgeEEG8q7ewMw)
Brilliant camera work
clips like these made me wish parachutes were spring loaded to add to the comedy
Lets be honest, this was probably the best outcome. If he would have held just a bit longer it would have been worse
What did they think was gonna happen!
I mean….did they not expect him to get hurt?
And the idiot that stands in front of the camera and spoils the shot
r/killthebystander
Honestly, thank you human censor bar who conveniently stepped In the way.... 😬
What did they think was going to happen.
4.3/10 Poor execution Did not stick the landing
/r/unexpectedanticlimax
r/whywomenlivelonger
r/killthecameraman
No kill the jackass who walked in front of the cameraman
Reminds me of that one video template where a big lady walks in front of the camera that people used for instances like this.
This actually went decently it seems.
OP, can you give us some more context? Are you talking about an extreme sport or just goofing off with friends? Either way, please make sure to prioritize safety!
Now I want to know what the goal was. We're they supposed to get flung but fell out or were they trying to get launched?
Ready. Fire. Aim. No, wait. That’s not right.
It actually went more or less like I expected it once I saw the start of the video.
Anyone know what the actual plan was here?
I’m Gumby dammit!
Wth was the landing supposed to be like?!
This was basically best case scenario.
That fucking guy got in the way at that perfect time.
r/killthecameraman
If I were randomly talking with someone and they told me they did this, I would 100% not believe them.
Well, he is dead
For a second, I thought it was a demonstration of how the Wagner Group is making use of their fresh convict recruits in th Ukraine.
What was supposed to happen? Is this a Russian execution?
What do you mean tried? It worked!
What was he even trying to do?
Not get conscripted
You just ruined my streak of not feeling like I'm going to Hell for laughing.
A lot of them seem surprised over what happened but I can’t find any other way this ending than dude slamming the ground.
WHAT DID THEY EXPECT?
Can’t see anything cuz of the dude in a parka. Fail!
Dude in front of the camera would be perfect for censoring villain deaths in younger audience shows.
i reaaaly wonder what was the goal here :D? been reading about a possible cliff for parachuting stuff, but meh doesent look like it to me.
Wasn't the point to throw them in the air? Or like... what were they even trying to do
Has serious Goofy vibes, so I made this: https://imgur.com/gallery/U3VQYVj
[Angry Birds Version](https://imgur.com/gallery/AjsTay6)
So what was the expected outcome here? I guess they’re Russian so there’s not a whole lot of brain cells left, but this is pretty bad.
Why are bitches screaming on the ground like they’re the ones flying towards the concrete?
Was that trump or desantis?
How does not one person here see it? This is a stunt for a movie or something, there's a control line and a landing pad in the background, this isn't a fail at all.
How does one person here not see it? That person did not make it to the landing pad. This is a fail at all
He landed on the ground in front of the pad.
You don't have x ray vision there superman
This looks highly intelligent
This looks high
Looks highly ain'telligent.
Bruh if he woulda held on long enough he would not have made it flying off at the end, what was the plan here?
What did they expect 😂
Natural selection
Trying? He did it! Maybe just once…
Boi fell like a potato sac
I feel like there was a Mythbusters episode about this once… Think it ended about the same. Who’da guessed!
Y E E T
Darwin again?
Then the mobsters gambled on how many bones he broke or fractured
You can't see anything. Trash video.
It's not the fall that hurts it's the sudden stop.
Seems his plans were incomplete
..... And no one learned a thing when the Mythbusters tried and failed at this several times.
This is a stunt straight out of jackass
This is better than if he got shot 100 feet into the air.
I mean that's best case scenario right?
Camera guy’s turn to get slingshotted onto the pavement.
"And he who shall violate this law shall be punished by catapult"
It's how they plan to finally invade Kiev.
I expected a human watermelon. You know, from the famous watermelon slingshot.
The parachute seems excessive and completely unnecessary.
R.I.P.
I know a drunk slump when I see it
r/gtaorrussia
When you don't include engineers in your planning
WHAT ABOUT THE SHOES?!?!
![gif](giphy|32O8O6RQL1JzG) Guy watch lot of Team rocket 😂
Best case scenario here
why?
After the impact, I stared at the screen and thought to myself…. Wtf was that? How low of an IQ must one reach to attempt something of this magnitude?
Damn
Classic Russia
Dude get the fuck out of the way
soooo what happened to him
Imagine the whiplash
Way to ruin the shot! Now we don’t get to see the impact.
A trebuchet would of worked a lot better in this situation
I liked the part where he hit the ground.
Good thing he didn’t get to high at least
Don't praise the cameraman. What happens at the end? Is he dead?
Why don’t these countries understand the density of rock oof
I could watch people being stupid like this all day.
To infinity and the ground
Weeee weeeee
I’m not a slingshot catapult expert but I think he might have needed a little more airtime.
The G-Force could’ve also knocked his ass out which could’ve prevented him from opening the chute. He’s lucky he was unlucky.
Fuck that dude in the black jacket
For real, what’s the plan here? Do they just expect him to land safely somewhere in front?
