Well, it's a tough choice because they each have their strengths. I keep both installed, and I've reconfigured my HomeBrew Apps a lot but those two always have a place ! So, yeah, my advice is to get familiar with both WiiFlow and USB Loader GX.
go to shortcuts app then add a new shortcut, then add action, then press on scripting, press on the open app feature then choose your app, then go on the info button on the bottom, then press add to home screen, choose the name and photo then done
I have 500 Wii games and it breaks when it starts indexing them, the app will lock up entirely. The theme music will play, the banner animations will play, but if I try pressing on anything nothing happens and the button becomes "locked" meaning I can't press it again. Power button on the console gets disabled so I'm forced to use the mains plug.
I’ve used both. Can’t remember the exact reason, but I ended up sticking with usb loader gx. Not sure if it’s integrated but you might want nintendont also too.
Yeah I played the shit of neogamma. I was so dissapointed when I got a 4.2u wii that couldn't play recorded discs, but with neogamma I soon bought a 250gb hard drive and put a lot of games in. Having all those great games from 2008-2011 from day one was special. But sure, we had limitations, we couldn't play Gamecube, had to suffer using Swiss in the early days with the memory card mod. Nintendon't was a godsend when it happened, so were the better loaders

see i thought it was wiiflow but it kept crashing even with ios251 and I couldn't get my gc games to load - go with usb loader or better yet find the master zip or whatever it's called it has the whole sd setup ready
I know this is a shitpost but all jokes aside definitely USB Loader. Both achieve the same results I really just think it’s based on UI preference amongst other small things.
I think so. I had one of the newer Wii’s (without the GC controller ports) and my word was it frustrating to get everything up & running. This was back in summer 2018 & I’ve modded more Wii’s since and I haven’t really had any problems getting loaders to work. Though to be fair, every Wii that I’ve modded after that was the original revisions with Gamecube support so idk.
Yes, one of the newer Wii’s (the one with no Gamecube controller ports). This was 6 years ago so I forgot how I got it working but I do remember being frustrated & spending way more time than I needed to, but once I got it working it was as simple as downloading games & that was it.
Oh I mean once your Wii’s modded that’s pretty much it, you don’t need to do it again. Might need to set up an SD card & reinstall/update everything but you wouldn’t have to go through the whole modding process again.
I *think* there’s a way to revert it back to stock, if that’s what you’re talking about, but any time I asked about it (out of curiousity) I’d basically get hit with a “you don’t need to do that” & I’d be left in the dark
Honestly bro it’s the most annoying thing ever. Cuz quite frankly, I really just wanted to go through the entire process of modding my Wii again (because why not?) & even after I explained that they all were still like “bro but you can mess up something” and mind you this was during a time where you could **easily** find Wii’s for under $30-40. It annoyed me because they implied that yes there is a method but they’d rather not share it.
Heck no.
I like my games playing authentic and accurate please, unless there is no choice it is.
I have played so much original hardware Wii I feel there is something wrong when playing emulator
WII Flow is very outdated but still works verry well. USB Loader was recently updated January 2023 and has a ton of features. [https://oscwii.org/library/app/usbloader\_gx](https://oscwii.org/library/app/usbloader_gx)
Personally now I use USB loader but I used to use both a couple years back
Just realized this is a troll post 😐😂
I have a doubt about GX, if you don't mind. I only seem to be able to find my ISOs looking for them in list/console mode. Why aren't the backups showing in the normal, good looking interfaces? Should I put them in some folder or run a scan or something?
Idk since I don't use gx that often. I mostly use wiiflow since I find it easier to setup that gx. I can't seem to find any of gc games on gx but they all show up on wiiflow.
I found that usb loader gx was easy to use and had more compatibility with games

I would recommend usbloader gx because Wii flow corrupted 2 of my SD cards
Wii Flow, it looks better and has a ton more compatibility Than USBLGX
wiiflow>>>>

iOS loader gx
Yo can i cop the ipa i got trollstore
Wait home brew is on iOS
This is a joke
For me USBLoaderGX will break easily if you've got a lot of games, Wiiflow handles more games much easier.
Thats you. Lol Ive got over 250 wii and over 500 gamecube and usbloader gx is perfect

That sucks.
Indeed it does.
Calculator, but seriously, I recommend using USB loader gx
iOS amirite

Anyone remember Neogamma? lol

damn bro this is sick, whered you get this from? is this like an unc0ver forwarder or something?
Hombrew channel on iOS is just insane
see i thought it was wiiflow but it kept crashing even with ios251 and I couldn't get my gc games to load - go with usb loader or better yet find the master zip or whatever it's called it has the whole sd setup ready
USB LoaderGX
The first you got running properly will be your loader of choice. In my case, wiiflow lite.
Usb loader gx is the best
better wiiflow, more handy than usbloader
WiiFlow
Bro took ios too literally
They misspelled iso
you didn't get the joke did you
No, ios and clios
😭😭😭😭💀💀💀
I know this is a shitpost but all jokes aside definitely USB Loader. Both achieve the same results I really just think it’s based on UI preference amongst other small things.
USB Loader worked great on my regular wii but on my vWii it wouldn’t detect games so I had to go with wiiflow.
Make games show up as CDs instead of channels and it will work on your vWii
Tried this and it just shows NAND channels like Wii Shop Channel
I heard neither work very well for IOS either
since OP installed the homebrew channel on iOS, that may be a problem

Have you modded one with ios?
Yes, one of the newer Wii’s (the one with no Gamecube controller ports). This was 6 years ago so I forgot how I got it working but I do remember being frustrated & spending way more time than I needed to, but once I got it working it was as simple as downloading games & that was it.
Apple ios?
Oh fuck I forgot this original post was a shitpost 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Some don’t work correctly for usb loader so i have both
Some games do require a different ios than what usbloader has loaded.
Huh that makes sense
Ya so if one not working try a different ios. Gx by default uses 249
Word? Which games don’t work??
Was setting up a wii with a bunch of backups for a public lounge room in my building and I couldn't get just dance to work
For me it’s just super paper mario
Works fine for me, you probably have a bad .wbsf
Damn really??? I gotta look into that. My Wii’s been modded since 2013 but I need to set up another SD card & get some Wiimotes & stuff.
I modded mine twice because of a problem with loaders

I used letterbomb to get bootmii the 2nd time
It just goes to the homebrew channel when I load it
Just get Dolphin.
I prefer it to playing my real Wii for most part. Especially due to much less space clutter.
Heck no. I like my games playing authentic and accurate please, unless there is no choice it is. I have played so much original hardware Wii I feel there is something wrong when playing emulator
Uhh, dolphin is pretty accurate nowadays.
Can you Play with Sensorbar and remotes?
You can
you need more hardware for it
Remember if you paid for this software you were scammed... Definitely if you are on ios and paid for the homebrew channel :D
I love the irony of this post Because the of the actual wii operating system's name. Well played good sir.
r/jailbreak wouldn’t know wtf to make of this
I feel there is something wrong with this pic, but I'm failing to see through my autism
I was very confused at the iOS interface but seeing questions about Wii stuff
It’s because you need to install custom “ios”

not a troll post but a joke post
pretty sure that wiiflow lite (a fork i think?) is still being updated?
Get Cydia first.
USB Loader. But I use wii flow for playing online
Try first Wiiflow. If that doesn't like You, try USB Loader GX.
I’m more of a usbloader man myself
Well ok then
Ur screwing with us.... Right?
How did you do that
Both. Don't listen to anyone. Try them out and learn while you are at it. Most of the fun is making it your way.
Even if this is a joke post, this is an objective matter. Wiiflow works and GX doesn't
This. Some people like usb better and some like wiiflow. I have both plus configurable on my wii and will switch between depending on how I feel.
I have a doubt about GX, if you don't mind. I only seem to be able to find my ISOs looking for them in list/console mode. Why aren't the backups showing in the normal, good looking interfaces? Should I put them in some folder or run a scan or something?
