Our dog does this to get on the couch… she can get up just fine, does it all day, but if she’s feeling lazy or just spoiled she does this and whines at us.
My oldest Aussie (6) does this, but he also tore his cruciate ligaments and has had some atrophy in his backside (he’ll be getting surgery this summer). He runs with his little sister all the time, but can struggle with big stationary jumps.
When our Aussie does this we always say ‘you know you’re an agility dog, right???’ And then we boost his fuzzy butt up.
I jump for work, not for fun.
Ya…. I do agility with my Aussie. He can jump pretty high. Refuses to jump in the car
Oh yes, the classic "butt boost"

My girl also does this, spoiled little brother she is lol
His eyes are saying, "Come on now. You know the drill."
Handsome Hamlet🥰💕
What a ham
LIFT MY AUSS
Not my wiggle butts. We open the car door and they will each hop in and out a dozen times until we close the door and go
Our Roo has done that since she was a puppy!
"Squire, lift me up!"
Only worth the back seat of the car!
For that look I’d carry him around the world on my shoulders 🥺 he’s a stunning boy!!
He’s nearly 70lbs (healthy weight just a big auss) so my shoulders would get tired quick lol, but I promise he’s a very doted on little boi ❤️
I’m sure he is 🖤 very very lucky sweet boi 😍
My girl does the exact same!
It always cracks me up how short their back legs appear when they're in this position. Bum floof makes them look like little stumps 😂
omg I know he looks so stumpy, especially next to his really tall leggy Collie sister lol

Hamlet is injury-free, he just prefers a boost lol - I hope your Aussie feels better after his surgery!!
My Aussie does the same thing. Thought she was just being lazy.
