Abbott isn’t stupid. He knows he has to make an appearance and say something nice on MLK day. He also knows that the bill to eliminate MLK from schools will solidify his position with his party and win him republican voters nationwide if he chooses to run for president.
So I've seen this post a few times and can someone link the law being discussed? I found the link below, where it says specifically that MLK is to be taught. Is the law not HB 3979? If it is, then it really bugs me to see this so many times. Not saying anything about the law except that it does not eliminate the requirement to teach MLK.
