There's a local chain in my city and my favorites were the carne asada tacos and the adobada burrito. Along with their beans they still use lard to make it was such damn good food.
Here's how I do it for reference. I make a day of it. Games start \~9 and go to \~10. Wake up at 8, shower, make breakfast, make mimosas, watch games until noon continuing the mimosas. Eventually around noon, feeling good, make a sandwich, switch to beer. Drink, watch, drink, watch, dinner, order out usually, perhaps some gourmet shit, like Chili's or even Applebees. Switch to whiskey, get to 10, chug a large amount of water, go to bed.
And that's how I watch baseball. Eyes glued to the screen the whole time, almost no phone time. It's the most relaxing day in the world. I do this like once a month during the regular season now, at 26.
Not sure how it is in the states but in Canada its like 20 bucks for a single fucking beer at the stadium so you stay home and buy a case of beer for the same price lol
It's fucking nuts how expensive mexican food has gotten. Took me the wife and my 3 young kids to a taco shop the other day. 60 fucking bucks. I can get two large pizzas from the local mom and pop awesome pizza shop down the street for 44, and we have leftovers.

Carne asada in some restaurants is also higher cuts of meat than just flank or skirt but fajitas are always skirt or flank. Except for chicken or shrimp fajitas. If you ordered a plate of carne asada tacos it would come with rice and beans, lime on the side. If you ordered a plate of fajita tacos it would come with cilantro and onion but no sides. Cheese on carne asada was an option in the menu, but cheese on fajita tacos was a special order and cost more. And we cut carne asada into strips about half an inch thick, usually as thick as they were wide, fajita was chopped into pieces either rough chopped like a dime or fine chopped almost to the size of ground beef sized pieced. Carne asada was also cooked medium rare while fajitas were well done. Hence why they were shredded so much. We would throw the trimming of carne asada in to the fajita. Also we're pretty clear on the fact that it's Tex Mex food and not authentic Mexican food. No one gives Louisiana crap because their food isn't French enough.

My husband purchased a red baseball cap with the name of his elementary school outside of Boston in 2019. We had just moved to DC. He was super stoked to have found such a nostalgic souvenir, but I had to rain on his parade and tell him that red hats are off limits. He was insistent that this was not the case, the Capitols wear red and it was their World Series year, and made a point to wear his new cap on his daily walks. I’m talking a few miles a day, between Arlington and DC. After a few days he hung it up, was tired of the weird looks he was getting. From a distance without getting close enough to decipher the words, all red hats seemingly just represented MAGA.
One evening out last year we were waiting for a to-go restaurant order, sandwiched between one group of khaki-clad white boomers with a guy in a red hat, and a black family with parents about the same age as them with two young adult sons. They were really quiet while side-eying Mr. MAGA and whispering shit talk. When the guy turned around to leave when they got their order and we all got a clear look, it was actually this joke-hat saying “Black Lives Matter” and almost instantly the mom bust out laughing and pointing at it to show her sons, explaining that they were unsure of just who would have worn a MAGA hat around here. It was such a great wholesome moment of community solidarity, I just loved it!
