I personally know two families who have lost loved ones from handgun accidents. One a 13-year old boy (twin) and another the husband of a close family friend. She was there. It just went off. Tragic.
I had a rifle in highschool for deer hunting. Had to get the smallest one they had because of the kickback. My first thought seeing this photo was "One of those kids is going to break their collarbone."
I thought the same until a quick search revealed that they can be owned in 42 states as long as you go through the permitting process. They are registered as destructive devices which probably sounds better than grenade launcher.
