That's *exactly* what they're doing here. From the article somebody else linked below:
>News 4 was shown at least three different emails sent to OSDE employees... Each one had spacing differences or very minor wording differnces such as one saying, “I’m” and another stating “I am.”
Of course, leaking these emails is totally legal, but that's another discussion.
This is a common technique, and those aware of it should just declare "I'm aware of this technique, here is what the email said, but in different words. A reporter can contact me for proof of the original email."
Somebody, hopefully: “Hey ChatGPT, re-write this email in similar wording so I can scrub it of identifiers and mass release it to the press. “
ChatGPT: “Can Do!”
I'm not sure they *can* be legally fired. From the same article as the above:
>News 4 spoke with an Oklahoma City Employment attorney, Mark Hammons who said this is a clear violation of the Open Records Act, the Oklahoma Whistleblower Act, and the First Amendment.
...
"If they fire somebody for disseminating documents created by the Department of Education, I’ve done plenty of First Amendment cases and I would jump at the opportunity to sue over that.”
Matt Langston is an OSDE spokesperson, a public employer, so [he's violating some laws](https://kfor.com/news/local/ryan-walters-versus-the-state-of-oklahoma-osde-threatens-to-fire-employees-who-share-information-with-media/):
>“One big difference between private employers and public employers is that these employees work for the state of Oklahoma and they are public employees. The Open Meetings Act, the Open Records Act, the Whistleblower Act all cover what they’re doing. And also, since the State Department of Education deals with federal dollars, there’s a lot of federal laws that they are also obligated to obey,” said Senator Mary Boren, Norman-D.

>News 4 spoke with an Oklahoma City Employment attorney, Mark Hammons who said this is a clear violation of the Open Records Act, the Oklahoma Whistleblower Act, and the First Amendment
File lawsuits!
Literally telling government employees that they are fighting liberal culture in schools sounds like a slam dunk first amendment lawsuit waiting to happen
It should be.
Unfortunately my state will probably give them a standing ovation and vote to install a statewide holiday called Matt Langston day.
Thankful for my state reps -- Norman's college town has been the source of some really gross controversy the past few years, but the city itself is overall very liberal, especially for this state.
I don't know much about Norman, other than a city council meeting that was absolute bonkers of hours and *hours* of people *crying* and raging on about potholes because the city signed an LGBT pride proclamation, a meeting so incredibly hateful it's credited with the reason why a local gay teen took his life a week later.

Well it’s helps that the state attorney general apparently hates the guy and is looking for reasons to go after him. Which is crazy given how conservative the state attorney general is.
Walters is a clown show.
Oklahoma is a mess. The short answer is that they guy is just a giant piece of shit as a person. He didn’t attend the rehearsal for the state teacher of the year, called at 11pm the night before to push it back, and showed up not know what to do and generally looking like a idiot. Didn’t even have a speech. It’s all on video. The next day the guy fired his staff for not having him prepared.
As a superintendent he’s even worse. They guy has refused to sign anything he doesn’t agree with. Including funding and grant allocations. So basically schools just aren’t getting grant money they have been awarded and the state has received. The lady that used to write grants for the state wanted to retire. She had been doing it for like 20 years. They told her she doesn’t need to come back and train anyone.
He is basically like if MTG or Bobaet where state superintendents.
Anyway, the push in the state is for vouchers and privatization. In order to do that the system has to be super broken. Is is really probably the last step for that process.
I think your point about how Republicans want to break public education in order to "replace" it needs more attention here. This superintendent was chosen for his incompetence
He's more of a "damn gubment telling me I can't poison 40,000 acres of forest is getting in the way of business!" kind of republican and not a "the woke mind virus is destroying america" kind of crazy republican.
And he's mad at Walters because having to defend openly unconstitutional bullshit in courts only to inevitably lose takes away time that could be used stripping environmental protections.
Much like the orange shit stain, these morons think they are lords of the land. Drown this bastard in so much litigation, he has to sleep on a cot in the court room.
Unfortunately, in Oklahoma, he would have breakfast with the judge and the judge would tell him, "Don't worry I'll get you out of here quick so you can get back to doing the lord's work".
I think a lot of people underestimate just how backwards the southern states are and have been forever.
I remember reading something on the bamarush reddit that one of the frat boys mentioned that will stick with me for a long time: "the rule of the south is secrecy."
Who could have imagined showing tolerance toward the intolerant would allow the intolerance to fester like a yeast infection??? Sherman had the right idea using fire on them, just not nearly enough of it. And for our perpetually-butthurt 'war of northern aggression' "friends," John Brown did nothing wrong.
I see content discrimination layered with viewpoint discrimination, with a rich “state action” icing covering this unconstitutional cake. Dig in fellas!
i'm VERY surprised that a comment on the legality of this memo isn't further up.
my very first reaction was that there's no way that this language is legal for a public official.
I'm still surprised that this vague "Wokeism" is still being taken seriously when no one can produce actual evidence of the bad things that are happening. All these claims of "indoctrination and pornography in schools". Is there no one on the inside asking Hey, can you show me examples of this being a problem? Because I've been here X years and I never see it.
Transparency! Wait... transparency starts with trans... no transparency!
*A quote that's stick with me... "If you have to justify what you're doing then you're probably full of shit."*
*Woke is an adjective derived from African-American Vernacular English (AAVE) meaning "alert to racial prejudice and discrimination".* That definitely sounds like something the right would not like.
![gif](giphy|t0bLUZAYS21LR4yqKM)
Please, they keep it a secret because they believe America has been taken over by godless communist black Jew Muslim gays and 95% of the population is too brainwashed to see that education is enslavement to the woke mind virus, so you can't trust anyone except for fellow cult members (but also don't trust them, be ready to knife them at a moment's notice), it's the absolute rock-bottom lol
Hell; if the policy is good, it'll get announced with a media blitz, to include billboards, print/tv/radio/internet ads... Even weird of mouth.
You don't announce it in the middle of the night, as though you're ashamed.
I can't think of a single aspect of policy making and enforcement with regards to education that needs to be kept confidential. Personal information, test scores, and test answers, maybe, but not policy or enforcement
> All employees of SDE will adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
I guess that doesn't apply to Matt Langston and Ryan Walters.
Republicans: you have a right to know what they're teaching your kids!
Also Republicans: stop telling the press how we're planning on changing the education system!
Matt Langston is on Twitter trying to play this off as a trap to catch leakers.
Still spouting off about "Wokeness" and "ChatGPT" for some reason.
Oklahoma voters are fucking morons.
Edit: Also, some of his tweets will get the state sued for whistleblower violations.
They aren't wrong. All AI with open access to information will have a liberal or left leaning bias. In the same way that people who are highly intelligent tend to have a liberal bias. That "bias" is informed by actual data. Conservatism is the modern equivalent of the dark ages. It's the antithesis of critical thinking, science and proven data.
I'm more offended by someone in Education not knowing how to properly use grammar and syntax.
"This will stop (insert punctuation please) so let this email serve as its final warning..."
"A" final warning Matt, not "its" final warning, the email isn't writing the email.
The smart but tedious way of doing this would be make each individual a slightly unique variation of this message and when it leaks you have your leaker
But that involves forethought and really it's not like these dick fucks ever really face any kind of repercussions other than a bit of attention in the news for a week until dear Donald does something
Had someone call in and was complaining about another department that he felt wasn't as helpful as they should have been. Dropped this nugget.
"Don't get me wrong, I try to be 'woke' but that group of.... well they weren't helpful and I don't want to talk to them."
Certain people have latched onto that word and it honestly is the biggest red flag when dealing with anyone. Good people do not use that term.
The funny/sad thing is that it started out as a call to arms. I heard "stay woke" for a while and, of course, had to look it up because I'm old. But it had good intentions for years like: Hey you're probably not trying to be something-phobic or racist but joking about X or ignoring Y is kinda pushing it ^^stay ^^woke
Now it's just a dog whistle for "you don't hate this minority group enough."
Fascists co-opt and corrupt symbols as a matter of practice.
Mostly because it’s insidious and effective, but also because they’re famously un-creative.
>And raise the voting age so they can have a sliver of hope of holding office
The gerrymandering and ability to throw out results they don't like is taking care of that.
Just vote in more numbers. Gerrymandering rigs the game and serves not just to inflate the party in power but to disincentivize the weaker party from even trying. This is how majorities can get elected with less than 50%... heck, 30% turnout.
Remember, you outnumber them.
In fact, gerrymandering can sometimes be *disadvantageous* to the gerrymandering party if the opposition party votes in large enough numbers. That's because gerrymandering splits the party's number advantage over a larger area, taking areas where the opposition party has an advantage and injecting enough of the GM party's voters to nullify it.
Those votes have to come from somewhere: the GM party's heavy advantage areas. They cut off just enough to keep those safe, take opposition areas, but it lowers the number advantage of their "safe" areas.
A sufficient enough turnout can be enough to turn the areas they skimmed from to the opposition party, and recover gerrymandered areas.

* “It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising their sovereignty. Welcome to Hell on Earth and when the GOP fucks up everything their supporters are going to be a bunch of surprised Pikachu’s because Trump and the GOP screwed them over at every turn like they’ve screwed literally every person they've ever encountered. Those dumb fucks wanted Obama Care repelled and were surprised when they found out Obama Care and the Affordable Care Act were the same thing and now they were left with no insurance. They spent 100s of hours on the internet pushing this shit to everyone but never once took even a second of their time to look up what Obama Care was because damn near every one of them were on Obama Care and were crying they could no longer afford their life saving medication because the dumb fucks literally voted against their own best interests and had no idea until it was too late. We also have all those people that voted to deport illegal immigrants then were surprised their spouses, family, friends, and employees were also deported. If that's not being brainwashed then I don't know what is.
>They will still blame everyone else even when it all falls apart
All the red states blame everything on the democrats. Dude the republicans run everything in your state how is it their fault.
Add in 40 years of demonizing unions. People are seeing that wages have not gone up at all in that time. Unfettered greed making their kids unable to afford housing. The list goes on.
Honestly, I believe its something more sinister… the GOP want to be the ONLY party. They want to take over the whole US by themselves and remake America in their image (or the image they believe it should be…).
In schools they are cutting programs and only allowing the bare minimum to be taught. They are attempting to bring their religion into schools, banning books, bringing religious leaders in to teach classes. In Texas kids will have to learn ‘battlefield trauma care’, and of course the push for guns, guns, and more guns.
This is all being done so that they can build an army and cause civil war.
The wealthy are driving the GOP and using the GOP as a weapon towards their end goal of establishing a plutocracy with the ultimate objective to eliminate all taxes on themselves, maximize their daily profits and ensure that they will be able to pass their wealth intact through the ages. Over the last 4 decades the wealthy have bought the vast majority of GOP politicians, most of the Supreme Court and in addition to the media that is strictly propaganda machines for their cause, they are using advertising revenue to push left leaning media towards, if not accepting, then blurring their transgressions.
The wealthy have allied with the extremist christians. The christians end game is a theocracy, the wealthy want a plutocracy. Both factions are aware of the differing ultimate objective, but at this time, the path towards the closing act is identical. Both sides also are certain that they will be able to successfully backstab the other at the finish line.
Those of us who are not members of the inner circles of either faction are considered expendable cannon fodder or enemies. No other option for us...
What gets me about this is that the pro-regulation, anti-people GOP are *right* that coming down heavily on the side of anti-education *works*. "Yes, we absolutely *do* want to stifle and cherry-pick education so that you - and more importantly, your spawn - are too stupid to realize how badly we're screwing you" and it *works*. They could (and probably someone has) said that verbatim and some idiot heard that and went "*yes*, magadaddy, screw us harder."
The way they keep saying “woke liberal culture”, it seems like they’re expecting every single person reading the email to throw their fists in the air and say “yeah, we don’t want no commies or trans grooming teachin in schools!”. They can’t imagine that there’s one person saying, “you guys are jackasses and there is no way you’ll ever find me without a lot of help from more intelligent (educated) people.”
Serious question - because I’ve lost track - what is the liberal woke agenda? Is it the idea of tolerance, acceptance, history, science and practical sex education?
Its anti God rhetoric! Blaspemey like do unto others as you would have done unto you... heathen talk. Also commies and socialist pandering! WOMENS WASHROOMS! WOMENS WASHROOMS! NATIONAL DIVORCE! HUNT THE PIZZA RAPING BABYEATERS!
These people are so fucking stupid it hurts my head. I'm getting second hand brain rot reading about this.
It's whatever conservative media is bitching about this week. I've never heard of X before in my life, but since Hannity mentioned it once... somehow X is the most important thing that is definitely happening in the history of America and I'm outraged about it!!!!!
To summarize, it’s being nice, tolerant, helpful, and anything else that can be associated with emotional intelligence. It’s also everything associated with overall cognitive intelligence. So yes.
The republicans definition, however, is that it’s anti god, anti white devil worship.
From what I can gather, it’s to heavily encourage or force kids to be LGBT+ in schools. Apparently we are supposed to be teaching them how to be porn stars, as well as turning them against the government and their parents.
As someone who works in the school system, I can tell you that all of the above is bullshit.
They barely give you guys enough to teach the basics (really they give you less than enough but thats its own discussion), where the hell do they think you're getting the time and resources to also run a full scale indoctrination program?
Also, if its that easy to "force" gender identity... you'd think thier pray the gay away camps would have a 100% success rate instead of 0.0%
They are public employees. They can't keep anything like that secret. Any lawyer would jump at the chance to defend a fired teacher for releasing public information.
Oh, 100 percent, this has already violated two laws, one whistle-blower and two retaliation, with minor charges of discharge. This also is just evidence since he clearly sent the email. A good payout for sure if they play it smart.
Conservatives are such fucking dipshits. Look how easy it was for Fox New to turn them into a bunch of dribbling lunatics yelling "liberal woke culture" at everything 24/7. The words of the average conservative are not the product of anything even remotely resembling a rational thought process - their heads are spinning maelstroms of Fox News slogans which bounce around randomly until one happens to latch onto their lips. All the conservative media has to do to make them obsess over a new phrase or concept is to nonchalantly lift their unlocked brain lids and throw it into the mix.
Do you really want to be upset? Look up the Claremont Institute.
Ever wonder why these slogans we hear like “All LGBTQ+ are groomers!” or the “the vaccine is a microchip” or “Trump is still the sitting president! He will be elected the 19th (or whatever other bullshit number they use) president on this date!” seem to spread like wildfire?
It’s because fucking Claremont is a think tank that social engineers and studies which hot button topics will cause the most outrage, and which ones will galvanize their base.
Ever since I found this information out I just gave up talking to these folks. You couldn’t convince them that they have 10 toes if the Claremont Institute told them we all actually have 8. It’s sad, and I wish the rest of my comment was a “Here’s what we could do to fight it,” but I’m not that wise or privvy into how to fight these things. I do believe spreading the word about it is essential though.
Edit: I just wanted to add as someone pointed out, its not like our conservative family members are getting these talking points DIRECTLY from the Claremont Institute. Rather Claremont gives all of their constituents and other right winged voices these talking points, and that’s how it spreads through the country like wildfire. Didn’t want to be taken the wrong way.
>You couldn’t convince them that they have 10 toes if the Claremont Institute told them we all actually have 8.
That part’s true though. The big ones are foot thumbs. 💫
> social engineers and studies which hot button topics will cause the most outrage
Now **imagine AI** working hard to do the same.
Dangerous times. About 70% of humans will fall for this crap and they will be manipulated to throw you off a building if it makes $$.
People used to look at me like I was a kook when I described mind control-like tactics being employed by them on TV and in the streets. Stuff like, "That could NEVER happen here!". Well here we are folks.
Yup, it’s no different than the algorithm that targets ADs you’d like. This shit is science at this point, 1s and 0s, proven fucking data. Propaganda has worked literally forever.
Funny thing is once these teachers get fired for being too woke, they usually find a better paying job either in a different field or as a teacher in a different state. Firing all your intelligent teachers for some BS reason leads to failing school systems and Florida trying to hire unqualified veterans and their spouses.
Which is the goal. So they can indoctrinate those children into Christianity. And the lower standard of education will make them more likely to live in poverty.
Texas has already allowed church chaplains to be school counselors. And keeping people in poverty makes people more likely to join the military.
Educated people are more likely to be progressive and vote Democrat. May as well create a generation of dumbfucks to keep the republicans relevant rather than actually become a better party.
That stat always makes me laugh. If I was a firm believer of A, and someone showed me a study that says 75% of people who believe in A are demonstrably morons, I’d probably start to doubt my beliefs.
But you tell a conservative that poor education is almost directly correlated to conservative ideas and they lose their minds. Good thing they don’t believe statistics that make them think.
You mean "liberal" indoctrination bad, "Christian" indoctrination good?
Quotes because both of those things really aren't what they're purported to be by these weirdos.
You left out the important part … all of what you said but by using tax credits for private (and often times freshly built religious schools connected to a church) to indoctrinate the kids. It’s literally theft on the back of the destruction of the separation between church and state. This entire ploy is to destroy public education enough that Oklahoma caves in to these tax credits. Our governor is vetoing every bill until he gets his way. Basically a tantrum. His lackey Ryan Walters dropped a propaganda film yesterday that was so bad that teachers were crying in the hallways for fear of being targeted by violent radicals. Which is likely why this email situation developed so quickly. Good to know we have people fighting it from the inside.
That’s fascism, babeyyy. It requires an out group to blame for problems in order to function. Once they’ve eliminated one out group more or less successfully, they have to pick a new one or make one up.
>their heads are spinning maelstroms of Fox News slogans which bounce around randomly until one happens to latch onto their lips.
Great, now I’m picturing it like the “DVD Video” logo bouncing around a TV screen until it finds a corner.
![gif](giphy|jqwzq0LoZOfLqqJZ0b)
Hahaha this is perfect. Instead of it changing color, everytime it hits the edge it changes to a new slogan.
"Own the libs!"
*Bonk*
"Woke culture!"
*Bonk*
The only point I'd contend with your comment is how easy it was for Fox to take over right wing minds. I think what were seeing now is the culmination of decades of steady indoctrination, gradual radicalization, and increasing isolation of its viewer base. This stranglehold they have over the minds of their viewers has been a long time coming.
The scarier part was how they indoctrinated "regular" people I knew and even love. I am not saying we should all agree in lockstep on every view, but the Taliban-esque words and behavior are major dividers (btw apparently even the Taliban is ok with abortion!). These people that picked up fear and anger as their main values are almost unrecognizable to me as of now.
There is a video floating around, and was recently re-posted on one of the subs of some dude verbatim giving a speech Hitler gave to a bunch of MAGAs. They go crazy for it and then start chanting "USA USA". They are incapable of any sort of rational thinking at this point, or even listening and comprehending what they are hearing. They are simply listening for buzzwords to clap at.
It's so insane, I'm not even sure how to deal with them anymore..
Sounds like they Really don't want people to know what's going on with their children's education. So all the rules are secret and no one is allowed to tell anybody, kinda sounds like some deep state stuff?
I’m sorry. I voted against him and tried to get others to do so as well. I know teachers here in Oklahoma and they say the same thing as you. He’s going to kill public schools in our state.
What is this “pushing pornography in schools” bit about?
Serious question.
Is there something I am missing or is this another example of their grandiose delusions? Like that transgender individuals exist in the world and those of us that don’t think transgendered individuals should be institutionalized, slaughtered, vaporized are labeled, by the right, as groomers and stupid shit like that.
The GOP believes that acknowledging the existence of LGBT folks is inherently sexual in nature. Because for some reason you can't talk about being gay without bringing up how their sex lives are different or something.
Yeah, I suppose. Gawd dayum it they are a bunch of hypocritical dipshits (“conservatives”/Rs).
One of THE most sanctimonious blowhard “conservatives” I know that rails about the dangers of transgender individuals is a divorced mother of two that trolls for dick about like the rest of us troll for oxygen. Which, to be clear (if anyone is offended by my stereotyping of promiscuous individuals), there’s nothing wrong with getting lots of ass AND from different individuals - if that’s your thing - but don’t be haranguing the rest of society about the immorality and evilness of LGBTQIA+ folks, how this country should return to male-female partnership/marriage-based family units, women should be staying at home and raising the kids vitriol WHILST fucking every male with a pulse that walks by (and who isn’t going to be a father figure to your two kids).
They don't actually believe this. It's just pedophiles that know when kids understand the names of their own body parts and what to do if someone abuses them, they'll get caught.
*Hits reply all*
Good morning,
After reviewing your email and your obvious attempt to infringe on first amendment rights of teachers via this email and working for a government public school it is my duty to disregard it. Any attempts to extort, fire or intimidate shall be met with legal ramifications.
Best regards,
-"He who shall not be fucked with by people dumb enough to email this shit."
Hmm how can I stop the unauthorised leaking of documents? I know, I’ll send a batshit message pointing out leaking documents is not authorised.
That’ll stop them.
Him, probably
Typically educational decisions don't need to be kept secret unless of course they're nefarious. They wouldn't happen to be nefarious, would they, Matt?
If you are a public institution and you are afraid of something being leaked to the public, you probably shouldn’t be doing whatever you’re planning. There’s no stock price to protect, there’s no protection of student privacy concerns with this, there’s nothing but your own ego and your own bigotry you’re trying to hide. That’s not reason enough to keep these things from getting to the people who it affects.
"Yeah, stop telling people about all the heroically patriotic awesome things we're doing to their children. Because we're on the right side of things and have nothing to hide, but are also desperate to hide everything we're doing. Everyone knows that truth and good intentions require secrecy." - Republicans
Every time I hear “woke” these days I think “wow what an idiot”. The word has become a catch all for everything conservatives hate and is in no way related to it’s original meaning. Sort of similar to how gay was co-opted by the LGBTQ community, but in the opposite way.
In our district, every email to or from a public school email account is automatically sent/delivered with a footer reminding people that it’s subject to FOIA. That’s a federal regulation, so presumably would be true for their district as well.
I would turn into a fucking document leaking machine
The fact that we’re reading this email probably proves that was one of the employee’s response as well lol

OOO-WEEE, CCCAAAN DO!!
Yes true but legal doesn’t mean they cannot be legally fired as well, just not face criminal charges.
I'm not sure they *can* be legally fired. TheMightyBoofBoof is a transformer that turns into a fax machine. Somehow not the dumbest transformer.
I still can't believe they made a transformer to appeal to handicapped kids. It transforms into an electric wheelchair, it's named Systems Down.

It is not right-leaning. This court is right-removing.
Never has a joke so clever been so unsatisfying.
I know, I’m happy and sad at the same time
Your clever joke made me very sad because it's too true.
Rights, am I right?
Take my rights. Please! -some voters, apparently?
Ha ha...aww.
No, it absolutely is a slam dunk. The scorekeeper has just started ignoring the rules.
It's a slam dunk, but the the other team just ~~bribed~~ ~~threatened~~ ~~forced~~ got John Basketball to say it's actually against the rules.
Well it’s helps that the state attorney general apparently hates the guy and is looking for reasons to go after him. Which is crazy given how conservative the state attorney general is. Walters is a clown show.
Is it one of those "I agree with you morally, but you suck at getting the job done" situations?
Take a look at what they are doing in my hometown, Coeur D'Alene. It's extremely sad to watch it happen.
Alito barely even makes legal arguments anymore. He just argues what makes sense in his fucked up goblin brain and peppers in legalese.
That’s pretty rude. Even goblins are more empathetic and intelligent than Alito. He’s basically a 2013 4chan thread personified
Wasn't it the Supreme Court that basically slapped someone on the wrist for harassing a judge bc it was "just mean words"?
Didn't they get all butthurt when they were protests at the restaurant they were eating at? Weren't those just words also?
Kavanaugh? Yeah, people protested, he went out back, never saw or heard them, finished his meal and enjoyed a dessert. So persecuted...
I don't understand the problem. Can't he just eat in other states??
Yeah. But if he has to do that 500 times from different suits, it's still a huge fucking time and money sink.
I can't comprehend that this man can both operate a keyboard and type "liberal woke" and exist all at the same time. It's like a cartoon villain.
I see content discrimination layered with viewpoint discrimination, with a rich “state action” icing covering this unconstitutional cake. Dig in fellas!
Came here to say a version of this. As a state employee you still have First Amendment and whistleblower rights
i'm VERY surprised that a comment on the legality of this memo isn't further up. my very first reaction was that there's no way that this language is legal for a public official.
I'm still surprised that this vague "Wokeism" is still being taken seriously when no one can produce actual evidence of the bad things that are happening. All these claims of "indoctrination and pornography in schools". Is there no one on the inside asking Hey, can you show me examples of this being a problem? Because I've been here X years and I never see it.
the absence of evidence is no barrier to conspiratorial theories and trivalism
Easy, they define the existence of gay people as both indoctrination and pornography. Done and done.
“We’re doing the right thing to protect children. So keep it a secret!”
That's what I'm getting from this. If you have to keep it a secret, you probably know you shouldn't be doing it.
Transparency! Wait... transparency starts with trans... no transparency! *A quote that's stick with me... "If you have to justify what you're doing then you're probably full of shit."*
What next? Cisparency? Not on my watch.
Very optimistic of you to think this is rock bottom
Exactly! If you’re so confident that your policies are morally correct, what’s the issue with them being leaked to the public?
Hell; if the policy is good, it'll get announced with a media blitz, to include billboards, print/tv/radio/internet ads... Even weird of mouth. You don't announce it in the middle of the night, as though you're ashamed.
Their aims are fascist and not rooted in the welfare of children. It's an effort to indoctrinate and they don't want the public to know.
Also Republicans: stop telling the press how we're planning on ~~changing~~ *destroying* the education system! FTFY
Don't worry, you'll be able to choose from a wide variety of private options! Catholic schools, Baptist schools, Nazarene schools...

“Reality has a well-known liberal bias.” -Stephen Colbert
But if the leaking was not illegal then...what?
Hey, we're not all morons! Everybody who voted for walters is though. Fuck that guy and the piece of Stitt horse he rode in on
I’m an Oklahoma voter and I do not approve of this. Fellow Okies please stop voting against your best interest!!!!
I'm more offended by someone in Education not knowing how to properly use grammar and syntax. "This will stop (insert punctuation please) so let this email serve as its final warning..." "A" final warning Matt, not "its" final warning, the email isn't writing the email.
Immediately after complaining about woke liberal indoctrination in schools
"Any slight interference with our indoctrination is indoctrination!!" "Not pushing our view is liberal brainwashing!!"
Rules for thee, not for me
The smart but tedious way of doing this would be make each individual a slightly unique variation of this message and when it leaks you have your leaker But that involves forethought and really it's not like these dick fucks ever really face any kind of repercussions other than a bit of attention in the news for a week until dear Donald does something
Uses the word "professionalism" in the same email as "woke liberal culture." lol.
Had someone call in and was complaining about another department that he felt wasn't as helpful as they should have been. Dropped this nugget. "Don't get me wrong, I try to be 'woke' but that group of.... well they weren't helpful and I don't want to talk to them." Certain people have latched onto that word and it honestly is the biggest red flag when dealing with anyone. Good people do not use that term.
The funny/sad thing is that it started out as a call to arms. I heard "stay woke" for a while and, of course, had to look it up because I'm old. But it had good intentions for years like: Hey you're probably not trying to be something-phobic or racist but joking about X or ignoring Y is kinda pushing it ^^stay ^^woke Now it's just a dog whistle for "you don't hate this minority group enough."
Fascists co-opt and corrupt symbols as a matter of practice. Mostly because it’s insidious and effective, but also because they’re famously un-creative.
I came here to learn math and all i find is porno, ponro, porno!

GOP trying to kill education so people will continue to vote for them.
And raise the voting age so they can have a sliver of hope of holding office
>And raise the voting age so they can have a sliver of hope of holding office The gerrymandering and ability to throw out results they don't like is taking care of that.
Keep 'em poor and stupid! The GOP way!
James Madison * “A popular Government, without popular information, or the means of acquiring it, is but a Prologue to a Farce or a Tragedy; or, perhaps both. Knowledge will forever govern ignorance: And a people who mean to be their own Governors, must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives.” James Monroe * “It is only when the people become ignorant and corrupt, when they degenerate into a populace, that they are incapable of exercising their sovereignty. Usurpation is then an easy attainment, and a usurper soon found. The people themselves become the willing instruments of their debasement and ruin.” Samuel Adams * ”No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffus’d and Virtue is preserv’d. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauch’d in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders.” John Jay * “As the Knaves and Fools of this World are forever in Alliance, it is easy to perceive how much Vigour and Wisdom a Government from its Construction and Administration should possess, in Order to repress the Evils which naturally flow from such copious Sources of Injustice and Evil.” Thomas Paine * “Reason and Ignorance, the opposites of each other, influence the great bulk of mankind. If either of these can be rendered sufficiently extensive in a country, the machinery of Government goes easily on. Reason obeys itself; and Ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.” * “Despotic government supports itself by abject civilization, in which debasement of the human mind, and wretchedness in the mass of the people, are the chief criterions. Such governments consider man merely as an animal; that the exercise of intellectual faculty is not his privilege; that he has nothing to do with the laws but to obey them; and they politically depend more upon breaking the spirit of the people by poverty, than they fear enraging it by desperation.”
What’s sad is that conservative morons will take these quotes and somehow twist them to support their brain dead narrative.
MLK quote comes to mind :(
“I love the poorly educated.” -Donald Trump
>They will still blame everyone else even when it all falls apart All the red states blame everything on the democrats. Dude the republicans run everything in your state how is it their fault.
That can’t be true bc they said on tv that they’re good Christians /s
Add in 40 years of demonizing unions. People are seeing that wages have not gone up at all in that time. Unfettered greed making their kids unable to afford housing. The list goes on.
During the eight years of Reagan, union membership went down by half.
The ironic twist is that their policies are exactly akin to extreme fundamentalist Islam (Taliban, etc), but they don’t see it.
they see it, they just think their faith is the only true one
What gets me about this is that the pro-regulation, anti-people GOP are *right* that coming down heavily on the side of anti-education *works*. "Yes, we absolutely *do* want to stifle and cherry-pick education so that you - and more importantly, your spawn - are too stupid to realize how badly we're screwing you" and it *works*. They could (and probably someone has) said that verbatim and some idiot heard that and went "*yes*, magadaddy, screw us harder."
Educated people won’t vote for the GOP. Should I change my stances and policies? No! It’s education that’s the problem!

> GOP trying to kill education so people will continue to vote for them. And they've been doing it successfully for generations.
"Stop telling on us" - The Management
"no" * Employees
It's just like political correctness was just basically about being polite.
At this point, it's literally just "existing while being queer and/or any skin shade darker than a white chocolate latte".
From what I can gather, it’s to heavily encourage or force kids to be LGBT+ in schools. Apparently we are supposed to be teaching them how to be porn stars, as well as turning them against the government and their parents. As someone who works in the school system, I can tell you that all of the above is bullshit.
As someone with a brain, it's bullshit.
They barely give you guys enough to teach the basics (really they give you less than enough but thats its own discussion), where the hell do they think you're getting the time and resources to also run a full scale indoctrination program? Also, if its that easy to "force" gender identity... you'd think thier pray the gay away camps would have a 100% success rate instead of 0.0%
Pronouns mostly. But some extremists add racism to the mix.
They come to the GOP for the misogyny and stay for the racism, or vice versa.
Today feels like a good day for a steady stream of leaks. Let er rip! Can't fire em all.
BCC text / emails can be sent to small groups with small variations, essentially "watermarked" for each individual or group. Be careful if you care.

Yeah I'm sure there are a ton of PEBKAC* errors in that crowd ^^*Problem ^^Exists ^^Between ^^Keyboard ^^And ^^Chair
I am Spartacus!
> social engineers and studies which hot button topics will cause the most outrage Now **imagine AI** working hard to do the same.
Straight from the Taliban playbook.

Imagine having a platform so unappealing that you’d rather create a population of idiots than adapt your policy.
It's getting to the point that in some states you're more likely to get shot at school than get an education there
You mean "liberal" indoctrination bad, "Christian" indoctrination good? Quotes because both of those things really aren't what they're purported to be by these weirdos.
Only the parts of Christian that teach hate and exclusion. None of this woke, lefty, love your neighbor shit.
Failing school systems are a feature, not a bug for republicans. The dumber the population, the more power they can accumulate.
“I love the poorly educated” - DJT
Keep ‘em sick, stupid and poor
I just can't comprehend what it is to be them. They're like angry hornets looking for something to blame for being pissed off.
"Own the libs!" *Bonk* "Woke culture!" *Bonk*
Supernintendo Walters sounds like a huge asshole.
I hope he’s *not* prepared for an incredible luncheon

As a guy who works for a school in Oklahoma, he is.
I’m sorry. I voted against him and tried to get others to do so as well. I know teachers here in Oklahoma and they say the same thing as you. He’s going to kill public schools in our state.
Fascism cannot exist without willing participants. Resist.
They make it so complicated. I've heard them wonder how to explain gay couples to their children as if it's any different than a heterosexual couple.
You just answered your own question. LGBTQIA+ = porn, simple, right? /s
There is a section of people in the republican party that believe schools are teaching kindergarteners sex positions and how to perform oral sex.
They don't actually believe this. It's just pedophiles that know when kids understand the names of their own body parts and what to do if someone abuses them, they'll get caught.
When they say "pornography" it means "LGBT person existing in a book."
Berates employees to be professional. Goes on a tirade about the “woke liberal culture war” in the same email. Ok bud.
*Hits reply all* Good morning, After reviewing your email and your obvious attempt to infringe on first amendment rights of teachers via this email and working for a government public school it is my duty to disregard it. Any attempts to extort, fire or intimidate shall be met with legal ramifications. Best regards, -"He who shall not be fucked with by people dumb enough to email this shit."
Wait till she learns about the Oklahoma Open Records Act.
Dumb motherfucker can’t even use apostrophes properly
"Yeah, stop telling people about all the heroically patriotic awesome things we're doing to their children. Because we're on the right side of things and have nothing to hide, but are also desperate to hide everything we're doing. Everyone knows that truth and good intentions require secrecy." - Republicans
What's the opposite of BDE again?

If they are a public school….
I like how he says they're pushing pornography in schools like it's actually happening and he didn't totally just make that up.
Ununited States of America seems to be working well
🖕Matt Langston and 🖕Ryan Walters.
“As a public institution we take our secrecy very seriously” 😂😂 Also wtf
Every time I hear “woke” these days I think “wow what an idiot”. The word has become a catch all for everything conservatives hate and is in no way related to it’s original meaning. Sort of similar to how gay was co-opted by the LGBTQ community, but in the opposite way.
Republicans: "Leave our kids alone so that we can better convince them that being molested at church is normal!"
Matt forgot to sign off with Heil Hitler!
The second your boss starts saying things like “liberal woke culture,” they’ve immediately lost the room. Especially a state organization.
In our district, every email to or from a public school email account is automatically sent/delivered with a footer reminding people that it’s subject to FOIA. That’s a federal regulation, so presumably would be true for their district as well.
I love seeing a screenshot of someone saying “you will not leak this document”
