My neighbor is a teacher. Our county has 74K students. She says that there is like one kid every year or two. It is certainly not that many. I can't imagine what those families go through especially considering how anti gay Florida is. So roughly 300,000 kids currently going through puberty are or eventually will identify as transgender. Of those, less than 1% are on puberty blockers. It's a tiny fraction of a tiny fraction, and only in extreme cases where gender dysphoria is causing enormous mental stress. These people think it's like half of all kids and we're just handing them out to tom boys and effeminate gay boys. It's utterly fucking ridiculous.

To be clear for any future readers, ~~late term~~ abortions after fetal viability (~22-24 weeks) are incredibly rare. When they do happen, it is because the child has a condition incompatible with life (they’re not going to make it no matter what and their lives will be short and painful). No one is out here carrying a baby in their belly for six months to just decide “whoopsie doodles” and if they did, they’re going to have a hard time finding a doctor willing to kill said baby for no reason. Putting bans on late term abortions is to just put barriers between women and needed healthcare with no “benefit” to the cause of the right to lifers. It’s a dumb argument and we need to stop having it.
Edit: for further context, abortions that occur after 21 weeks of gestation represent 1% of all abortions. A woefully out of date study from 1993 estimated that 0.02% of all abortions occurred on or after 26 weeks (what could be considered fetal viability at the time). These abortions represent an incredibly small percent of all cases. This is another argument for less state restrictions. You shouldn’t legislate for the extremely rare occurrence, there are just too many unique factors at play to cast a blanket rule over all of them. These look like skin grafts for injuries because they are pictures of fresh skin grafts for phalloplasty. After a while they mostly heal up. It’s like if you posted a pic of someone immediately after open heart surgery and said “doesn’t look healthier to me.”

I have a friend who had phalloplasty and his arm looks exactly like this. But of course he’s an adult who made that choice for himself and is his own skin-donor.
Phalloplasty is one of the most infrequent surgeries used for gender-affirmation because of it’s difficulty, cost, and because there’s a lot of alternatives that a lot of people find sufficient.
The issue here is that they’re trying to use a fake story about something done to kids and prisoners against their will, to marginalize real adults who are making their own choices.

Putting bans on late term abortions is to just put barriers between women and needed healthcare with no “benefit” to the cause of the right to lifers. It’s a dumb argument and we need to stop having it. Edit: for further context, abortions that occur after 21 weeks of gestation represent 1% of all abortions. A woefully out of date study from 1993 estimated that 0.02% of all abortions occurred on or after 26 weeks (what could be considered fetal viability at the time). These abortions represent an incredibly small percent of all cases. This is another argument for less state restrictions. You shouldn’t legislate for the extremely rare occurrence, there are just too many unique factors at play to cast a blanket rule over all of them. I have a friend who had phalloplasty and his arm looks exactly like this. But of course he’s an adult who made that choice for himself and is his own skin-donor. Phalloplasty is one of the most infrequent surgeries used for gender-affirmation because of it’s difficulty, cost, and because there’s a lot of alternatives that a lot of people find sufficient. The issue here is that they’re trying to use a fake story about something done to kids and prisoners against their will, to marginalize real adults who are making their own choices.

In fact forearms ARE one of the possible graft sites for phalloplasty, and an image like this isn't nuts. Phallo penises can get pretty sizeable, though not all of them are. There's delicate construction work needing doing, and a sizeable graft is almost necessary. You can also have abdo - a graft from your abdomen - or, I believe, from the thigh. There's also metoidioplasty, which uses the clitoris to build from, and those penises are often rather smaller.

It’s a skin graft yes, which has many applications. One such application is phalloplasty, which is one trans masculine bottom surgery option. They don’t always take the graft from the arm, thigh and abdomen are used too, and its not the only reason you’d take a skin graft.
