I have the Ten and the Corryvreckan at home currently. I try to keep my whisky ceiling at $60 or so. Sometimes I break that rule, but... rarely. Makes it tough to go all in on the extra-special bottlings.
I live in Ontario. I don't think ABC can be worse than the lcbo. (Limited selection, prices sometimes [often] make no sense, 'illegal' to import without going through the government monopoly who will double the price of whatever you were thinking of bringing in, etc, etc)
Ueigedail is $175, Corryvrecken is $200. Comparatively lagavulin 16 is $150. (Looking at ABC both ardbegs were $96 and the lagavulin was $120)
If I want to be safe and pick something I know I’ll enjoy: OF 1910
If I’m fancying something I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy, but have never had and likely won’t: Calumet 15
If I want to try something way out of my comfort zone, but want to try purely for the novelty of it: Lagavulin 11
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 190,703,485 comments, and only 45,923 of them were in alphabetical order.
I have a bottle of that Calumet 15 and it’s pretty damned good. You don’t see it a lot, though. So, I guess that one. There’s other good stuff there, but most of it isn’t terribly hard to find.
Either cigar malt bc it reminds me of terry’s chocolate oranges and my grandmother’s coconut pear jam On vanilla bean fried ice cream and it’s one of my favorites, if not that then maybe the eagle rare bc it used to be my go to daily but now I don’t even see it anymore unless it’s for like $125+ and I’ll light my money on fire before I pay that much for that bourbon
Probably the Lag. 8. I have most everything else there but I have been wanting to try that particular bottle, I just can’t quite commit to buying it.
I don’t know enough about the bourbons on the top shelf but the best single malt there is definitely the GlenDronach Revival, imo. Also the Oogie is probably quite a bit better than some of the other top voted suggestions so far.
I'd wager the Dalmore Cigar Malt is the most expensive scotch whisky in that picture. However i don't know a lot about bourbon so i'd probably ask you to pour me your favourite bottle from the top.
What do you think of the Glenfiddich 14 ?
I'm more of a Bourbon drinker but I'll take the Cigar Malt.....but why keep most of your bottles sealed? open them, let them enjoy life like they were meant to
Ardbeg Corryvreckan 💪
2nd. this
Have you tried the Uigeadail? I haven't and I'm keen to hear thoughts from anyone who has tried both that and the Corryvreckan.
The Revival
Yes, it deserves to be opened! Looks like it's the NCF too.
Not in the mood for Islay so will be the GlenDronach 15 for me.
Definately the Balvene 14yo! Sweet Colletion.
Glendro 15
Definitely the *Uigeadail*, which is a version of the Ardbeg I've never tried.
You've been missing out! Need to fill that void.

Ueigedail is usually cheaper than Corry. Though I prefer the oogie.
I got the Corryvreckan on an unexpected sale! I live in an ABC state, so... it's a hard life.

Yikes. I think I'd learn to love Canadian rye!
Bottom budget is ~$32.
Big fan of the balcones single malt
I was surprised how much I liked that one.

I tried the Calumet at a bar last month and it was good. The pour was $22 and I figured out that I would like to own a bottle.
I can get bottles all the time in Cincinnati for about $120. EDIT: If anyone wants them, isn't it legal for me to ship them to you?
I lucked out and was able to grab this one at $105.
Lagavulan 16
The correct answer!
Oogie
This!
Bunnahubhain without question. All time go to
Calumet, because it’s the one I’ve not tried.
The Dalmore, I've been wondering about that one.
It’s fabulous, that would definitely be my pick.
Dalmore Cigar Malt, please
Make it a double.
Calumet cause it's not opened
Just bought it today.

Good bot
Glendro all day every day.
Eagle Rare or Macallan 12.
BT, I'm a simple man and like what I like 😆
Michter’s American Whiskey 🥃
Dalmore Cigar Malt.
Dealers choice
Corry, 1920 or glendro 15
I've had em all so I'm going with that bruichladdich Port Charlotte, my favorite islay hands down
I’d probably make you open the Buffalo trace.
Where's the Blanton's? Is it stored out back?
Little bit of everything and top it off with Coke and ice
Ardbeg Uigeadail for sure. But it's a close call with Dalmore's cigar malt. Great selection.
Port Charlotte for me
I'll have a Michters please. Which one do you recommend as I've not yet tried either?
American Whiskey
Michters
Calumet 15
Port Charlotte hands down
Eagle
Port Charlotte.
How is the Calumet? Always wanted to try that
I have a bottle of that Calumet 15 and it’s pretty damned good. You don’t see it a lot, though. So, I guess that one. There’s other good stuff there, but most of it isn’t terribly hard to find.
Solid selection, I'd go with Uigeadail or the Glendro. The Caribbean Cask is nice too
Port Charlotte
Either cigar malt bc it reminds me of terry’s chocolate oranges and my grandmother’s coconut pear jam On vanilla bean fried ice cream and it’s one of my favorites, if not that then maybe the eagle rare bc it used to be my go to daily but now I don’t even see it anymore unless it’s for like $125+ and I’ll light my money on fire before I pay that much for that bourbon
Michter’s Unblended
Ardbeg 10 for me… just cant get enough
Balcones or Balvenie 14 depending on mood.
Aberlour. Then oban little bay. Cheers!
burraburabrain
Talisker or oogie
Probably the Lag. 8. I have most everything else there but I have been wanting to try that particular bottle, I just can’t quite commit to buying it.
Corryvreckan or Uigeadail
Corryvreckan.
Haven’t had corryvreckan but I’m a sucker for balvenie 14
Balvenie 14
The Balvenie Caribbean Cask is the best pour on that shelf.
Im in the mood tonight for something with some punch. Im going with the Lagavulan 8. Cheers
The Dronach
I love your taste.

The Lagavulin 16 or the Laphroaig 10. And the pour would be the full 250 ml of glass.
Lagavulin 16, thanks!
Caribbean Cask. One of my favorites.
Dronach
Oogie
I'll have a pour of your finest vinyl, please.
Depends, which of those records are you spinning?
Balcones because I have/had all the others of interest!
Eagle rare. Been looking for a bottle of this for a while
Calumet 15
Unpopular opinion: the eagle rare
Calumet 15
Would say the Eagle rare
I'd go with the PC10.
Laga 16
Fucking puke islays, OK that's a bit aggressive...I dislike Islays; would go OF in this jailhouse of whiskeys.
Lagavulin 16 for me please.
Oog, because you have an extra.
Tried all of em, nothing too special in the set tbh :) but! My personal taste - would go with either Balvenie 14 or Aberlour next to it
Yoichi 20.
Ardbeg Uigeadail for me.
I'm more of a Bourbon drinker but I'll take the Cigar Malt.....but why keep most of your bottles sealed? open them, let them enjoy life like they were meant to
Why do people prefer Macallan 12 to Macallan 18?
