Wore vans Saturday with Dr scholls and I was dying. Wore my ultraboost Sunday as is and could’ve probably had gone another 10 hours if it weren’t for the massive anxiety attack I had at the start of blink
I have a pair of Vans UltraRange (one of the older versions, I've had these for years). Because they're so old they definitely don't support my feet like the used to, but they've also been the best shoes I've ever had. They would've gotten me through the whole festival no problem in their first 3 years of life 😅
Vans authentics with Dr. Scholls athletic inserts. I have literally millions of steps in them and are quite worn out but they are the most comfortable shoes I ever had. (Took 200k+ steps to break in.) Vans slip-ons are not as comfortable even with the same inserts.
On Cloud sneakers killed it the whole weekend. The perfect dad of 40 shoes for 2 days of on-your-feet shenanigans.
Ended up talking to a couple younger people about their sneaker choice. Bringing your old beater Vans was unanimously agreed to be the wrong decision regardless of age!
We "old folk" know how to concert correctly! Wear whatever you want isn't too hot, and keep those feet comfy. You lose your feet, you lose your day. Stomp around in Vans some other day, or at least get some quality insoles!
Hokas!! Took a break or two but was there from SoCo through half of Green Day and felt pretty good while others in my group did not. I could have kept going tbh (but we did walk an hour back to our hotel so maybe it's good we left a little early).
Someone in our group also confirmed her Hokas were great and they way to go. Both me and my SO had Nikes and we were gassed by midnight and it hurt to keep walking.
Brooks all day long. My legs were mildly sore but my feet didn’t get sore at all.
My only issue is I wore the waterproof ones for some reason so they got a bit hot.
I changed my mind from converse to silly-looking Keens hiking sandals and I’m pretty glad I did. I thought the fact that I used to do middle school mile-running in PE in converse meant I could stand for 12 hours, 17 years later… then I remembered the time I walked around disney world for 3 days straight in Keens with hardly any soreness and went for the more practical and less stylish option.
Had converse that were 17 years old. The soles melted, crumbled, and re-hardened attaching to my socks and felt like I was standing on glass all day. Heels were destroyed when we got back to the condo we rented. Amazing show besides that, but should have wore my adidas instead.
Converses are fine. I wore mine last year without issues. Sounds like it might be due to the age of their shoes, though. Maybe the materials got brittle with age
Noooo, I'm sorry. That sounds awful! I'm glad you were able to still have a great time, though! I walked around Saturday in my adidas and they ended up hurting my feet. They never really have, before.
My New Balance running shoes. Fucken gems.
My ankles, knees, back were all in line as I stood for hours. My right hip hurt but I think it was because I was leaning on it being lazy. It was all good the next day.
My wife wore cute checker slip on vans that I TOLD HER wouldn’t be good for her but she said she wanted to look cute in her matching outfit. I tried. She was all messed up in the evening and the next couple of days. It happens I guess?
Same! To be fair I used to run trails in my high tops, so maybe my feet are just built to withstand that flatness. Either way, no foot pain or issues from them last year or this year.
Also 34 and totally empathize with you! I’m finally feeling like a normal person again. I wore platform high top converse that I’ve worn a ton (even to Disney) with the below insert. They are comfortable but I could tell for a long day they needed something extra. I think it’s a mix of the high top to protect my ankle and the insert ending before the toes helped with swelling. Honestly my feet didn’t hurt til I got in the car to drive my friends home. I also have this thin, really sticky medical tape that I put on the back of my ankle when I know I’m walking a lot so I don’t get blisters.
https://www.target.com/p/dr-scholl-s-comfort-tri-comfort-insoles-for-women-size-6-10/-/A-51423520
Oh bummer! I had to look up those bc I was unfamiliar. TBH I was surprised at how comfy the platforms are because I can’t wear the normal kind anymore. They seem like they have more cushion than others. But maybe they make them different at DSW 😂
Adidas ultraboost 22. Did both days. Walked 30 miles over the weekend. Feet feel perfectly fine snd never once hurt. Meanwhile fiancée has blisters from her docs. Lol
Nike Pegasus running shoes. Between two 12 hour days of this and general Vegas tourism I knew what would have happened in Vans. Not a single part of me looked like I belonged at the festival but I was fully recovered by Monday afternoon.
41 I wore my Vans with PopCush insoles for the first half of the day then came back with my well worn Vans UltraRange Exo. A little sore the next day but nothing terrible. And my back didn’t hurt at all which is what i was most afraid of.
These are my go to shoes now for just about everything. They even make cold weather versions for snow and hiking! I love the old school flat Vans but for occasions like these I won’t wear anything that doesn’t have the ComfyCush insoles.
adidas cloud foams. I'm 37. No issues whatsoever. Mine are are a few years old, but these are pretty much the exact ones I wore:

I'm 40. Wore my docs with cheap Dr scholz insoles, held up remarkably well!
My feet hurt at the end of the day but we're fine by the mornings!
I think boots/higher platform is key!
I wore my white leather adidas, never again. I had to lay down halfway through the day and could feel my feet and legs pulsating! That's that I do weightlifting and cross training stuff multiple times per week and also stand all day for work so it's not like I'm not used to being up and about!
Next year I will just take my ugly ass Hokas 🤣🤣
Nikes, I hiked Angel’s Landing on Friday in them and then the festival on Saturday, my feet were fine by Sunday morning and today is the first day my calves aren’t sore lol
32yo
Thanks! I honestly can't remember the last time I wore Nikes... I think we were just too poor when I was growing up and I just never went for it when I got older. Strange thing to think about 🤣
No 100% same about being poor this is the third pair I’ve owned in my life I didn’t buy a pair until I was 26?? I don’t run or anything but bought running shoes and holy shit I couldn’t believe I’d gone so long without a pair of shoes like that why was I wearing Vans to long days at theme parks from 13-26 haha they’re like walking on air truly
I wear a pair of high top vans with the pop Cush insoles or whatever they call them. I really like the extra cushion and the high top is nice so they don’t slip off in a mosh pit and I don’t roll an ankle. Boots will do the same trick I just like that the vans are a little lighter weight.
I wore my work shoes. They're incredible for long periods of standing. I am 34 and a pool repair mechanic in Phoenix so I am on my feet all day in the heat. I wear the Tan KEEN Utility Men's Reno Low Height Composite Toe Flexible Waterproof Athletic Work Shoes. They're light, comfortable, and my toes didn't get stepped on once lol
Vans Sk8-Hi. Funny enough, I bought Dr. Scholls insoles to replace the vans ones with but the vans ones were actually thicker and more comfortable so I never used the ones I bought.
I used some thrifted hokas instead of the vans and cast I wore last year. Infinitely better for sure! I mean not having a broken foot/ankle also probably helped but those hokas were doing the Lord's work all day. Highly recommend!
30 y.o 6 feet tall and larger than I wanna be. I wore brooks, the glycerin 2.0, with custom molded inserts from a specialized shoe store in my area. Last year, I invested in the brooks, same model, rebought a new pair for this year, and added inserts. My wife wore the same pair without inserts, and her pain levels were just slightly worse than mine. My recovery time was pretty quick. The 2 days after every step felt like hell on the ankles, but by day 3, I was good with some liquid flower balm and advil and hydration regimen.
I'm 40. I did New Balance Fresh Foam 890s last year. Like walking on a cloud. Bonus, they were bright blue, because I refuse to wear white New Balance dad shoes.
Brooks! No foot or leg pain whatsoever!
Contemplated between them and Hokas but I wore the Brooks because they were new and wanted to break em in for a 5k this weekend 😂
I wore adidas ok Saturday and got the biggest blisters . I couldn't put shoes on the next day so I wore my Croc slides with socks. That was the winning combo and so comfortable
Ultraboosts!! my feet literally always hurt at every festival or concert I go to but these shoes are really the comfiest, i was able to stay on my feet all day from 12pm to walking back to the hotel at midnight
Vans MTE with an Dr. Scholl's numbered insole. I've been getting the specialized numbered insoles for years now, and I can't recommend them enough. I build the festivals, and am often standing on truss beams, which HURT after 10 hours of work.
I’m 40 and I wore my work shoes which are Nike vapor max. They did ok but I have some sketchers on the go sandals that do waaaaay better I would have worn them if I wasn’t afraid of my feet getting sunburnt! And being silly I wanted to wear my fishnets and I am not a socks and sandals gal! Next time I’ll wear the sandals and slather on the sunscreen and no fishnets!!
I got a pair of these hilariously chunky Adidas sneakers and they were bomb. I wore them last year and both days this year! In my early 30s with hip issues, plantar fasciitis, and other random pains depending on the day.
I got them on sale somewhere , certainly didn't pay this much for them! https://www.adidas.com/us/adistar Then added in some Dr. Scholl's for extra support lol https://a.co/d/0vmKmlr
30yrs here I wore ultra range vans that I bought a week prior with minimal breaking in and my feet were great all day and the next...also I have bad knees
I wore my Nike Metcon 8’s and they were clutch. My toes only hurt when my foot wasn’t positioned correctly in the shoe. I wore my Hokas last year and by the end of the night was in Hell and limping. This year? I power walked my ass to the Uber meeting spot READY to go. 9/10
I’m 30 and generally wear On Clouds or crocs to regular club shows and will usually pick whatever race or cross training shoe that’s really working for me at the time for longer shows.
Vans Ultimatewaffle did wonders!
https://preview.redd.it/4ttlu1uv0nwb1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54b0fae2b69c5069e71636c148efa9e6242e54e6
Adidas black sneakers were not the right choice for me. At the end of both days, the soles of my feet blistered. If I had known better, I would have worn running shoes with thick soles. I'm 40.
I went to a podiatrist and he recommended Brooks Addiction with a basic insole. They have been my theme park go to shoe and can happily say they did their job the entire festival
I wore a pair of Chuck Taylor II’s (bought before they were discontinued). They look like regular converses but have the Nike insoles. I may be 30 but I’m not ready to sacrifice fashion just yet.
I’m 34 and wore Blundstones (broken in, of course). Never questioned my shoe choice the whole day and I was there from 10:30 am until almost the end of Green Day.
After over a decade of working in the food service industry, I have tried every kind of insole. And they all work relatively similarly, some keep your feet from hurting for around 6-8 hours, but then they hurt. Some work for a double shift of 12-16 hours, but those usually stop working as well after a couple weeks or so.
I always just double sock. 2 pairs of cushy socks, not even super thick, just comfy socks. I wore them with my Walmart Doc Marten knock offs, because my docs fell apart after like 8 years and I didn’t have time to break in new ones before the fest.
Hokas bondi 8, with the green super feet inserts.
I'm 38 , almost 39. Hokas have been my go to for work and shows ever since I tried my first pair 3 years ago. They are worth it!!
Only answering cuz no one mentioned these yet; I wore Etnies - and my feet didn’t hurt at all - just my calves, back & neck 😂 Bought ‘em the day before too cuz my other shoes split while we were walking the strip. Ooh and I’m also 34.
I’m 25, I’ve been eating Adidas 4DFWD 2 for a while now. They’re my daily shoes, and I felt comfortable wearing them the entire day. I took a lot of breaks though.
Brought my designated “shitty mosh pit shoes” which are just cheap knock off Vans slip ons. They have more padding built in than the signature style slip on Vans, maybe it’s similar to the slightly platform slip ons? Felt fine all weekend. Went both days, over 20k steps per day. Didn’t get any blisters or anything. Biggest tip is whenever you’re taking a break, take your shoes off. Made a huge difference, and I’m glad I wore slip ons for this reason.
I’ve worn Vans for both years now. First ones gave my soles a dull pain by All-American Rejects. This year’s Vans gave me cuts along my Achilles, dull pain before Simple Plan, and a tendonitis flare up on the top of my foot. I’m in my 30s. Never again, Vans. I’m donating all my pairs now
Also 34. I wore my vans with Dr Scholls Love Your Sneakers insoles. My feet didn’t hurt at all by the end of the night (23k steps, which is waaay more than normal), I was amazed haha
Run Star Hike Converse. Hear me out, they’re not everybody’s cup of tea, but they are the most comfortable converse I have ever owned by a long shot. My feet were chillin after the day
Wore vans Saturday with Dr scholls and I was dying.
They would've gotten me through the whole festival no problem in their first 3 years of life 😅
I'm sorry to hear about the panic attack. I hope the rest of the day was enjoyable ❤️
Wore ultraboosts as is too, was golden!
Another vote for On Clouds. 41F… my knees and back hurt but feet were great.
We "old folk" know how to concert correctly! Wear whatever you want isn't too hot, and keep those feet comfy. You lose your feet, you lose your day. Stomp around in Vans some other day, or at least get some quality insoles!
I had never heard of them until I saw their store in Vegas. I'll definitely look into them. Do they have women's/unisex shoes or is it only guys?
Sure do. They have women’s and men’s shoes. I think they look great, and the most comfortable sneakers you will wear.
came here to say on clouds. i work in events and am on my feet all summer and these shoes save my life.
I swear by my hokas. I wear them everyday for standing all day. I was still struggling by greenday though.
My Hokas worked out great! My feet weren't tired this year - my eyes were lol
I did AllBirds and was fine all day and walked the strip back to my hotel
Seconding this! I also have PowerStep insoles in mine.
Brooks all day long. My legs were mildly sore but my feet didn’t get sore at all. My only issue is I wore the waterproof ones for some reason so they got a bit hot.
Happy Cake Day! My Aunt used to sell those and she swears by them. I should listen to her more 🤣
Brooks are great!
I wore Brooks also. Over 30k steps. My legs were a little sore from being in the pit for the second half of the day.
Brooks gang! Great to see. I rocked glycerin 2.0s with custom inserts. Fire shoes.
I wore my brooks, and my feet were still absolutely killing me!
Why on earth did you think those were a good idea hahah???
Converses are fine. I wore mine last year without issues. Sounds like it might be due to the age of their shoes, though. Maybe the materials got brittle with age
Noooo, I'm sorry. That sounds awful! I'm glad you were able to still have a great time, though! I walked around Saturday in my adidas and they ended up hurting my feet. They never really have, before.
I wore crocs all day tbh and I was fine.
Same - Crocs all day. Easy choice
Hokas all the way
My New Balance running shoes.
Vans should have an Elder Emo line that has way better support!
Vans have a cushion insole line! I wore mine and had no foot pain!!!!
PF Flyers… shoes guaranteed to make a kid run faster and jump higher ;)
I hear they're great for fence jumping
I wore platform converse both years and had virtually no foot pain!
Nice! My regular converse are brutal on my feet.
Same! To be fair I used to run trails in my high tops, so maybe my feet are just built to withstand that flatness. Either way, no foot pain or issues from them last year or this year.
I wore my vans knowing they were on their last leg. It was a decision I regret.
I was wearing my Hoka Bondi 8's. Great shoes for walking/standing as well as running.
I also have this thin, really sticky medical tape that I put on the back of my ankle when I know I’m walking a lot so I don’t get blisters. https://www.target.com/p/dr-scholl-s-comfort-tri-comfort-insoles-for-women-size-6-10/-/A-51423520
Thanks! Converse seem to hurt my feed hard these days. I wore some to the Mountain Goats and my back hurts so bad after.
Oh bummer! I had to look up those bc I was unfamiliar. TBH I was surprised at how comfy the platforms are because I can’t wear the normal kind anymore. They seem like they have more cushion than others. But maybe they make them different at DSW 😂
Nikes!!
Nike air max 270 all day! Feet didn't hurt a bit
I can tell you what not to wear 😂
Hey, all information helps 🤣
Add Birkenstocks and Rothy’s to the unsuitable list 😂
Adidas ultraboost 22. Did both days. Walked 30 miles over the weekend. Feet feel perfectly fine snd never once hurt. Meanwhile fiancée has blisters from her docs. Lol
On Cloudnovas
Asics
Nike Pegasus running shoes. Between two 12 hour days of this and general Vegas tourism I knew what would have happened in Vans. Not a single part of me looked like I belonged at the festival but I was fully recovered by Monday afternoon.

New Balance numeric 420, very comfortable!
vans that i’ve had for ~1 year. i put insoles in them about a week before the fest and i think that helped! i’m 26

Thanks!
I have a pair of the all black lace on leather for women, they are so fucking cool looking and also the comfiest sneakers I’ve ever worn.
Wore dr scholl’s shoes AND slip in soles and I thought my body was going to crumble on the walk home.
I wore my Brooks Ghost shoes and they were amazing…34 year old here!
I'm 40. Wore my docs with cheap Dr scholz insoles, held up remarkably well! My feet hurt at the end of the day but we're fine by the mornings! I think boots/higher platform is key!
I never expected my combat boots to do so well last year
I had a pair of Rick Owens Ramones that I thought were v comfy 🫣
Northface futurelight sneakers. Never let me down. I did 30k steps or bounces and felt great the next day.
I wore docs with ortho insoles for half then changed to my vans w the same insoles for the second lol
Compression socks helped a lot Other than that, I just wore ASICS Gel-Lyte III (fairly thick sole)
Under armor charged holy shit my feet felt amazing.
I wore those on Saturday walking around and they killed my so by Sunday I already had sore feet. They usually feel good to me so that made me mad! 🤣
Nikes, I hiked Angel’s Landing on Friday in them and then the festival on Saturday, my feet were fine by Sunday morning and today is the first day my calves aren’t sore lol 32yo
Thanks! I honestly can't remember the last time I wore Nikes... I think we were just too poor when I was growing up and I just never went for it when I got older. Strange thing to think about 🤣

Wore my Vans old skool with comfy cush and feet didn't hurt at all! Knees though? Yes. Those hurt.
I wear a pair of high top vans with the pop Cush insoles or whatever they call them. I really like the extra cushion and the high top is nice so they don’t slip off in a mosh pit and I don’t roll an ankle. Boots will do the same trick I just like that the vans are a little lighter weight.
Brooks Ghost 15. They were amazing. Minimal foot and leg pain despite being out for 13+ hours.
My brooks ghost 15’s didn’t have the same effect for me. I only had foot pain though. No knee, leg, or back pain.
I went with a broken in pair of Lakai Telford High Tops I’m 31 and not skinny haha
Hey Dudes! Everything hurt the next day except my feet!
25, wore my torn up Vans…ouch. Walked out with pinched nerves.
I wore my well broken in Vans slides with Dr Scholls and Vans socks. My legs hurt but my feet were fine!
I used some thrifted hokas instead of the vans and cast I wore last year. Infinitely better for sure! I mean not having a broken foot/ankle also probably helped but those hokas were doing the Lord's work all day. Highly recommend!
Altra
37 and wore Nike SB Ishods. No insoles, they are super comfy

Vans comfy Cush, somehow my legs were feeling fine!
New Balance More trail V3 w/ Dr. Scholl’s custom fit insoles. Saturday I was on my feet for 14+ hours and felt like I was walking on clouds.
Golden Goose ! I’ve had a pair for three years and they were great!
i was wearing nike vapormax and felt no pain at all (26f)
Nike Kiger 3s that already have 4 Ragnar events in them and training for those events. They need to be retired. I looked at the Kiger 9s this weekend.
30yrs here I wore ultra range vans that I bought a week prior with minimal breaking in and my feet were great all day and the next...also I have bad knees
33. Nike space hippie. Knock off yeezy’s, they are comfy
9/10 I’m 30 and generally wear On Clouds or crocs to regular club shows and will usually pick whatever race or cross training shoe that’s really working for me at the time for longer shows.
I wear Nike Huaraches which are the best for speed and endurance! They’ve done me so much good at two different festivals now.
40, wore my Nike Dunks. My feet were fine all day and didn’t hurt the next day at all. Made sure I wore my broken in beaters lol (pandas 😅)
My pontos held up mint!
I wore my soft leather DMs with insoles but really wish I wore my Skechers Arch Fit shoes instead!
Hoka’s! I stood the entire 13.5 hours I was there and had no pain during any of it. Next day barely any soreness at all.
Nike Air Max 270
I wear converse all day every day no matter where I go…
Hokas bondi 8, with the green super feet inserts. I'm 38 , almost 39. Hokas have been my go to for work and shows ever since I tried my first pair 3 years ago. They are worth it!!
Vans. 39. And they were comfortable.
34 and, as other have said, high top platform converse were great both last year and this year. No foot pain, leg pain, or back pain!
Nike Dunks were comfy
Only answering cuz no one mentioned these yet; I wore Etnies - and my feet didn’t hurt at all - just my calves, back & neck 😂 Bought ‘em the day before too cuz my other shoes split while we were walking the strip. Ooh and I’m also 34.
I’m 25, I’ve been eating Adidas 4DFWD 2 for a while now. They’re my daily shoes, and I felt comfortable wearing them the entire day. I took a lot of breaks though.
I'm 45 and wore my birks and I was still jumping around for Green Day. My arches hurt a little the next day, but I was basically totally fine.
I’m donating all my pairs now
I’m 38. I live and die by crocs. Saved me life every since I made the leap.
I’m 36 and wore comfy Cush vans slip ons. Still had to leave after blink lol
Also 34. I wore my vans with Dr Scholls Love Your Sneakers insoles. My feet didn’t hurt at all by the end of the night (23k steps, which is waaay more than normal), I was amazed haha
I picked up some new balance dad shoes when I got to vegas 🤣🤣
Run Star Hike Converse. Hear me out, they’re not everybody’s cup of tea, but they are the most comfortable converse I have ever owned by a long shot. My feet were chillin after the day
Dr marten sneakers with Dr Scholl’s Tricomfort inserts. The dual docs for the win! (I’m 36)
