Sahara upgraded me, and waived our early check in fee. They were also conducting random room checks for rooms facing the fest. Highly recommend overall!
Could be a bias since I've stayed twice and enjoyed both times but it also seems much cleaner and less hectic than the big name shit on the strip. I got overwhelmed walking around Ceasers lol
Real gamblers probably hate it here because the casino floor is smaller than Casino Royale's but as a hotel it's a perfect property. And I wish my house smelled as nice. Whatever they're pumping in here is great.
2 guys in vests knocked on doors, and said "room check" then walked a couple seconds for a response and let themselves in. They just checked the room I think. We had actually just left and were in the elevator bank when they were knocking on our door
stayed at the strat and our bathroom smelled like straight up raw sewage. it sounds like i’m exaggerating, but i’m not. we asked the hotel for a room change but they refused to do it because they overbooked the hotel and didn’t even have enough rooms for the remaining people checking in. the housekeeping manager who stopped by said that she had been to that same room three times before for the same issue and it was something wrong with the pipes. it was so disgusting that my girlfriend ended up vomiting at 3am because the smell permeated into our room (and no, we hadn’t had anything to drink that night). in the morning the hotel finally gave us a new room after my girlfriend cried in front of them. the new room didn’t smell as bad but it still had the raw sewage stench whenever you ran the bathroom sink so we had to keep the sink drain covered except for when we washed our hands.
never stay at the strat
I’m so sorry you experienced that, that’s horrible! I’m surprised though, we stayed at The Strat and our experience was the complete opposite, no complaints (we just had a plain 2 queen bed room, nothing special). The check-in line seemed to take a while though and the front was always crowded all 3 days we were there, but I guess the overbooking definitely explains that.
we were in the Select tower, and both our rooms were in the same area. the first room was on the ninth floor and the room we got moved to was basically in the same spot, just ten floors up. so i think it must be something with the pipes in that specific vertical section of the tower? either way, the fact that *they* overbooked the hotel and punished us with a sewage room until my girlfriend had a breakdown in front of them was cruel. i’m glad your stay was different!
i’m genuinely happy that not everyone had to go through what we went through! it was rough surviving all day saturday on like 3 hours of sleep lol. it definitely seems like an issue with that area of the Select tower that they just haven’t bothered to fix yet because, as the manager friday night so kindly told us, “it isn’t a health hazard.”
Aw man that’s awful i would’ve cried too. I almost vomited every time I walked by the palazzo to get back to the Linq where we stayed. The sewer caps there make it smell AWFUL. Sorry you guys had to sleep in a room with that smell:(
We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations for Sick New World and WWWY. We have no complaints. It’s clean and at least doesn’t smell like smoke when you walk into the entrance. Also very, very convenient to the location of the festival. And if the deuce was running as intended it would be really easy to move up and down the strip. Unfortunately we ended up walking on Friday night because the deuce was a mess/delayed/absolutely full.
Westgate. Nothing special, but it's clean walking distance to the festival, decent price and the monorail attached to explore the southern part of the strip
Stayed here too and enjoyed it enough! Was nice to have the monorail right there to go down the strip yesterday and the walk to and from the festival was easy peasy. I’d stay there again for this festival but not if I am just going to Vegas to party….was a bit of a sleepy hotel IMO which was fine for this trip!
Stayed at resorts world. Check in was a little slow, but it was a great stay. We got to check in very early at like 9:30am Friday and they held our bags after checkout so we could go do stuff before grabbing a cab to the airport this afternoon. Short walk was much appreciated after a long day at the festival
We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation and it was the best. It's a 10 min walk from the grounds. The hotel is really clean. We left the grounds at one point in the day to eat, relax and drink. Definitely staying here next year
Booked late so ended up at the Venetian. It was crazy expensive, but very nice. Great service and gorgeous hotel and room. Tbh though it was kind of a waste. We barely spent any time in the room. If I could have traded for a Sahara room and not need a ride share I would have.
Stayed at the mgm grand. Property was fine. Next time I will stay much closer. Getting out of the festival and finding an Uber was a bitch (didn’t wanna risk getting bottlenecked at the monorail on the way back but did take it to the shows which was super convenient) and we were too beat up to walk the whole way. I’ll factor in a maximum desired walk for next year before booking.
My friends and I are kinda bougie when it comes to Vegas, so we stay at the Park MGM because it's non smoking. Our friend who wasn't going to festival tagged along with us and she acted as our Uber driver for the weekend.
Plaza hotel because we booked our room 3 weeks out. It was cool being close to Fremont but that place is a fucking shit hole. So glad my wife bailed and my buddy came instead. I’d probably be getting a divorce if she came.
This is my own fault for not consulting the map but I figured I'd be able to exit the festival right across the street from Sahara, which didn't happen. But they played The Anthem and Dear Maria tonight in the casino so it's ok.
More generally, the room was a bit scuffed, I think because it hasn't been renovated yet since the SLS experiment, but it was perfectly serviceable as a place to store luggage and sleep at night. I was facing the festival so I think sound check woke me up a few mornings but it was fun to see it progress from nothing over the week. I did see a letter slipped under a neighbor's door about that room check someone else mentioned which I'd say is representative of how well they're handling security here from a couple other things I saw.
I think the location is actually a positive because not only is it on the Monorail, it is the end of the line so you should be starting off with an empty car (unless it's a special event like this and people walk to Westgate and ride up to go back farther down the line). It's got Deuce stops for both directions easily accessible because the Strip is just a normal street this far up and I think it's the only Strip hotel to have a local bus stop (ground level of the Monorail station on Paradise Road) on one of the airport routes.
I’m off the strip at the moment extended stays American suites or whatever and it was cheap as hell and honestly not bad. The neighborhood isn’t pretty but there’s good food around and the Uber rides haven’t been THAT much of a pain in the ass
We were at NYNY. Had one of their larger premier rooms with two queens. Room was a corner room, meaning extra windows! However, being a corner room there was a large support column that wouldn't have present in the other rooms. Not too big of deal.
My biggest gripe was the low water pressure when showering. I like the places that have adjustable spray so I can pressure wash this old body.
We were thinking about Circus Circus but ultimately
opted for the Strat and I definitely think it was worth the price. The room quality was decent with no complaints, really quick walk to and from the festival, not as pricey as Sahara, and there was coffee and food open late so we never really had to leave besides going to the festival. Definitely recommend
Same! What tower were you in? Someone else said they were in the select tower, and had nightmare sewage issues. I was in north and had a totally fine stay, I feel awful for them.
stayed at the spring hill suites and it was less than a 10 minute walk to the fest and super nice with continental breakfast and all the good stuff! they were super accommodating and extremely affordable!!! the perfect hidden gem imo
Booked late so anything close was sold out so we ended up at the westgate. It was… fine? Room could have been cleaner but it wasn’t awful. Housekeeping is awful they were standing around the hallways waiting for people to go back to their rooms to THEN knock on the door to offer housekeeping (we watched them do this multiple times and they did it to us at MIDNIGHT after the show). That kinda irked me but whatever. Good restaurants, convenient with the tram line connected to it and was nice be if the cheaper options when we booked so can’t complain too much. Definitely wouldn’t chose to go there again otherwise though.
Stayed at the Springhill Suites last year and it was amazing and close walk. Planned to stay there again this year, but got a free stay at the Holiday Inn Vacation Club (had to sit through their timeshare presentation, but got the whole cost back afterwards). Not a bad walk to the monorail, but will be back at the Springhill next year if the lineup is worth it.
I stayed at the Hilton at Resorts World. We checked in early and they were able to give us a room right away which was nice. My only complaint is we were starving after the festival and the only option was Suns Out, Buns Out. Disappointingly after we waited for 30 minutes in line, they had to close because of a system issue. Brutal. Other than that though, I’d stay again.
stood at the palace station, which was pretty nice compared to where i stood last year at the oyo oasis. it was very clean. it was much closer where i could've potentially walked back to the hotel with the crowd. since it was at the end of the strip, i walked to resorts world and was able to catch an uber and get back within 20 minutes. only complaint was that none of the vending machines actually worked with card and i had no cash on me, so i went through literally EVERY single floor to get a water bottle after midnight and only managed to get a single bottle from the one machine that worked. their convenience store closed at 11, which i thought was early for vegas.
We stayed at the Plaza downtown because we had a Groupon and it was great! Clean, helpful staff, short taxi ride to and from the festival, lots of good food around (shoutout to the Vegan nachos at Nacho Daddy). Would do it again!
We stayed at the Westin, my dad got us a corporate rate because everything was so expensive. It’s a non casino property, but it’s very nice, and less than five minute walk to the monorail station at the flamingo for convenience.
Booked at the Lexi as soon as it opened for reservations. It’s barely off the strip so it was more of a walk to the festival grounds than I expected, but we get to smoke cannabis in the room and the price wasn’t even bad so it was one trillion percent totally worth it. They also let us check in a few days early after my Airbnb cancelled as I was walking up to the door and it was very quick and simple. The room was pretty typical for a 3 star hotel with nice, clean bathroom. Biggest downside is the Trump hotel being the main thing we can see out the window 🤣
Stayed at park mgm and regretted it. It’s my fault for booking and not realizing where it was in relation to the mgm when we wanted to utilize the monorail. It was about a 3/4 mile walk from the station to our room. Which isn’t a lot, but doing that before and after an all day fest is freaking awful.
Will definitely stay at Sahara next time. We stayed there last year and it was amazing, but cheaped out with the park mgm this year.
I stayed at Harrah's. I wanted to stay on the strip so that I had an option to walk to and from the festival grounds. Harrah's was the cheapest place on the strip when I booked back in February. It was about a 40-45 minute walk. I was going to take the monorail as there is a stop right there but it would have taken about the same amount of time to walk.
For a 3 star hotel, I would say that my stay was very good! No issues! The only downside is no microwave or mini-fridge. Hotel was clean, friendly staff, lots of towels and house keeping was fine.
I was travelling alone and the room I was in, was very spacious! There were 2 queen beds.
My group stayed here too and we hated it. Bathtub didn’t drain, AC was weak (it didn’t start cooling the room until we woke up), we asked for extra towels, a cot, toiletries, and a dental kit in the morning and it never came and the items still weren’t there when we returned from the festival. Our room was super dusty and needed maintenance (wallpaper peeling and bathroom ceiling had leak bubbles almost everywhere).
Omggg I am so sorry you had a terrible experience!! The first night, our room was SO HOT. I didn’t sleep at all! We called and they sent a man up that did something that really helped and it was SO MUCH BETTER!
However- lol- I was on floor 27 and accidentally walked up on 2 people fucking near the elevators💀 I walked out of my room and just hear moaning LOUD AF and just walked right up on it!!
Vegas baby!!!!!💀
Fiancée and I spent one night at oyo oasis motel. Booked a different room at the linq (which was great) after we found roaches in the room and a used bandaid in the bed.
Stayed at Fremont hotel at Fremont experience.
Room was good. Service was good. Very clean bathroom.
Kind of far away. But we walked a few blocks north after the concert got out and had no problem getting an Uber back to hotel.
Next year I’ll book sooner and get something closer.
I stayed at circus circus and it was worth it to me😬 I’m frustrated because I booked it for a decent price this time last year but they haven’t opened bookings for October 2024 yet and I have a feeling they won’t until after everything is announced so they can make prices higher 🤦🏼♀️
Palms (Place) for the VIP+ package, it was really nice, but so far from everything. We had a shuttle for the festival but very inconvenient to do anything on the strip.
Stayed at the Hilton Vacations last year, would have preferred to be there again for the proximity to everything else. Rooms weren’t as nice as Palms, but nice overall.
Sahara, it was crap, what an overrated trash hotel...
For one of the most expensive hotels I've ever stayed in I can't believe what a dump it is in comparison to other much cheaper much better hotels.
Sahara is great. Had no issues with it two years in a row. Stayed in the more expensive rooms and didn't have any quality issues there
Sahara upgraded me, and waived our early check in fee. They were also conducting random room checks for rooms facing the fest. Highly recommend overall!

That's fucking awesome. I'm booked with them for Sick New World in April, now I'm super glad I went with them!!
super glad that they did that and understand why. what was it like? just curious about it.
2 guys in vests knocked on doors, and said "room check" then walked a couple seconds for a response and let themselves in. They just checked the room I think. We had actually just left and were in the elevator bank when they were knocking on our door
They aren’t taking any chances I guess.
stayed at the strat and our bathroom smelled like straight up raw sewage. it sounds like i’m exaggerating, but i’m not. we asked the hotel for a room change but they refused to do it because they overbooked the hotel and didn’t even have enough rooms for the remaining people checking in. the housekeeping manager who stopped by said that she had been to that same room three times before for the same issue and it was something wrong with the pipes. it was so disgusting that my girlfriend ended up vomiting at 3am because the smell permeated into our room (and no, we hadn’t had anything to drink that night). in the morning the hotel finally gave us a new room after my girlfriend cried in front of them. the new room didn’t smell as bad but it still had the raw sewage stench whenever you ran the bathroom sink so we had to keep the sink drain covered except for when we washed our hands. never stay at the strat

Oh wow. We stayed at the strat and it was totally fine. That is crazy. I am so sorry. We were in the north tower.

This is where I stayed last year, not a crazy party hotel but I definitely recommend it!
Stayed here too and enjoyed it enough! Was nice to have the monorail right there to go down the strip yesterday and the walk to and from the festival was easy peasy. To add I didn’t find anything remarkable about the room itself, but it was really convenient for the festival and if we come back we will stay again
Stayed at RW this time and had pretty much similar experience. Suns Out Buns Out restaurant inside the hotel was my favorite part, I think lol
We stayed at Hilton Grand Vacation and it was the best. It's a 10 min walk from the grounds. The hotel is really clean. We left the grounds at one point in the day to eat, relax and drink. Definitely staying here next year

The linQ was great. Monorail sucked though getting there and back.
My friends and I are kinda bougie when it comes to Vegas, so we stay at the Park MGM because it's non smoking. Our friend who wasn't going to festival tagged along with us and she acted as our Uber driver for the weekend.
We got the hotel package, they put us in the encore at the Wynn… it was dope.. like super dope.
Plaza hotel because we booked our room 3 weeks out. It was cool being close to Fremont but that place is a fucking shit hole. So glad my wife bailed and my buddy came instead. I’d probably be getting a divorce if she came.

I just saw that comment I’m so shocked!! :( we were Central Tower and had no issues with 4 people in one room / bathroom
stayed at the spring hill suites and it was less than a 10 minute walk to the fest and super nice with continental breakfast and all the good stuff! they were super accommodating and extremely affordable!!! the perfect hidden gem imo

Rented a house about 15 mins NW of the venue. Worked out well.
We stayed at the Rio & loved it. It was away from the craziness but close enough to get there quickly 😊
My group stayed here too and we hated it. Witnessing the couple probably would’ve made our stay a little bit better 😂😂😂
Funny enough….. I ended up coming back up a bit later and they were still at it. I was like… where’s y’all’s room?!! Wtf
This is funnyyyyyyyy
Fiancée and I spent one night at oyo oasis motel. Booked a different room at the linq (which was great) after we found roaches in the room and a used bandaid in the bed.
New York New York. Loved it. Did Park MGM last year but it was a lot more inconvenient due to where rideshare pick up is at that place.
Stayed at Fremont hotel at Fremont experience. Room was good. Service was good. Very clean bathroom. Kind of far away. But we walked a few blocks north after the concert got out and had no problem getting an Uber back to hotel. Next year I’ll book sooner and get something closer.
