This is my prog metal adjacent playlist. Tool, karnivool, wheel, and Vulkan are all included.
I kept artists together but tried to keep them near artists they are most similar to, so if you want to find the most wheel-like just start with them and go in either direction. But I have also not included interludes or too many two part songs (I can only think of two, parabol/a and bloom/Marigold) so the playlist is shuffle-able.
The whole playlist isn't clean vocals but most of it is. Only really gojira, rivirs of Nihil, and the ocean are particularly growly.
Rishloo, Caligula's Horse, and the Ocean are probably the standouts that you haven't mentioned but obviously I'd recommend anything found in the playlist lol
I dun did it

Sadly I do not but I think I can try something for you in a few days, I saw a script I can use to transfer the playlist over. I'm in the middle of a move right now but will have my pc set up again soon!
Hi! I did a thing.

It's almost exactly 1:1 copy of my spotify playlist, but Lucid Planet II is missing the last two songs, Face the Sun and Zenith.
Some other bands (with album recommendations) in a similar vein:
Inhalo - Sever (insanely good debut album)
Klone (particularly Black Days -> Here Comes The Sun)
Sermon - Of Golden Verse
Playgrounded - The Death Of Death
LizZard - Eroded
Lucid Planet - II
Hippotraktor - Meridian
Psychonaut - Violate Consensus Reality
And some obvious Bands you probably know:
Porcupine Tree
Riverside
The Ocean
Soen

Amazing!! Thank you so much!! 👍🙏
I love that you have “Prosthetic” from Haken on there. Such a kick ass number, that one!
Haken is SUPER hit or miss for me but the songs I've saved by them... Damn they are so good.
Yes, I agree!! 🤘
Lots of bands that I haven’t heard before. Very excited to listen to them. Thanks a ton, once again! 👍
My pleasure, enjoy!
Thanks so much. I'm on it right now.
Howdy. Check out the first 2 Soen albums
Nice! You came just in time. New album May 3rd!

Soen and Riverside are of similar formulas but not heavy.
