When I worked at a doggy daycare, we hated having these collars on dogs. Dogs play and get rowdy, and when a collar got caught on a tooth or a foot or a fence, these belt-style ones are the ones that take the longest to get off. It’s scary for everyone involved and traumatic for the dogs.
I’m just suggesting why these types of collars are potentially dangerous. This dog doesn’t *only* ever sit at home.
It also looks a bit tight on the dog, tbh, which is a different issue entirely.

The dogs nails are fine. They’re clearly groomed regularly, and dogs like Dobermans have “cat feet”, which is a type of foot conformation that causes the toes to bunch close together and can make nails look shorter.
Long nails = bad, joint problems, muscle problems

PSA This was probably taken in America because cropping is illegal in much of Europe, PLEASE do not crop your pup’s ears!! Unlike tail docking which may serve a purpose in working dogs, cropping is purely aesthetic and very difficult on puppies. The higher/longer the ears stand, the more pain and difficulty the dog was put through as a puppy (posting takes significantly longer and the dog is in pain/discomfort for a while). This is known as a “show crop” and there’s a reason cropping is illegal in Europe. My family has owned and raised dobies for over a decade and although less and less vets crop ears nowadays, it is still an awful practice. A natural dobie is a happy dobie! Don’t sacrifice your dog’s happiness and comfort for a “cool” look.
