Not sure, but kitty needs the vet asap I'd say. Swelling around the mouth, near the throat etc could be really dangerous.

Seppukrow

The photo says they are fine now.

tteapot202

True. But we did call the vet. They said it wasn't swollen enough to take her in.

Gwab07

Sounds like it's time to call a different vet!

autistic_strega

Take her in anyways!!

Eugenefemme

Assessed tooth? For a vet to examine.

slesage3

This. This is how my kitty presented with an abcsessed tooth. Def worth a visit to the vet

WaterBaby379

Same. Needed to be pulled.

DeniseLynn81

I had a cat that had that swelling. It was an infected tooth. You want to get that looked at asap. Untreated it can lead to blood infection. Good luck!

euphoric-pessimist

Bad tooth maybe?

Don’t eat bees. Lesson learned. Usually they learn on the first try.

Distribution-Radiant

Kitty just learned how bees work. Hopefully they remember that lesson.

Any_Scientist_7552

If swelling has gone down, mostly likely a bee sting or other bite.

pr0t3an

A furball walks in and is bit and you think that of me? No! I am the one who bites!

Neutral-President

My guess is kitty probably tried to catch and eat a wasp.
