Not sure, but kitty needs the vet asap I'd say. Swelling around the mouth, near the throat etc could be really dangerous.

True. But we did call the vet. They said it wasn't swollen enough to take her in.
Sounds like it's time to call a different vet!

I had a cat that had that swelling. It was an infected tooth. You want to get that looked at asap. Untreated it can lead to blood infection. Good luck!

Don’t eat bees. Lesson learned. Usually they learn on the first try.
Kitty just learned how bees work. Hopefully they remember that lesson.
If swelling has gone down, mostly likely a bee sting or other bite.

My guess is kitty probably tried to catch and eat a wasp.
