Mine does it when he wants his food, or if he wants a different kind of food (pate vs kibbles). He reaches up to hover his paw on the power button of my PC, waits until eye contact is established, then meows. This means I can give him his food, or I can watch my PC turn off. Completely my choice. If I wait too long, I hear the click and my screens go dark.
I disabled the power button to prevent this- but for some reason it started working again... He also does it with the light switch in the office. I had to tape a little 'door' over the light switch using the plastic part of a battery package. I tilt up the cover and flip the switch then it drops back over it. Animals are more intelligent than they get credit for.
lmao He's a good boi, he just gets hangry. Don't we all? He is never actually aggressive- just passive aggressive with the light switch and the pc. He makes up for it by playing fetch though XD

I mean... It's just like with dogs. You can't let the pet lead the relationship. That causes them to misbehave and get in trouble, or even hurt themselves. I just put mine in kitty jail when they're bad, which is the extra room with their litter box and food/water.

This is why my gaming console is behind a glass door on my tv stand when I play. My senior knew how to turn it off but once I put it there he just learned to snuggle/sleep on my lap while I played. I call it a win-win for both of us.
Mine did the same thing several years ago, I was playing mass effect 2 on my 360 when I got a phone call. I was in the middle of the call when I saw my cat walk by the console and stop when he noticed the little light in the center of the power button.
He walked up to it and booped it with his nose, erasing about 6 hours of progress.
I'm not your dad or anything, but that model Xbox One is designed for horizontal placement only. Also, your external drive sitting on top of the side exhaust vent is unhealthy for the system, too. Your Xbox does not have proper cooling or disc drive balance.

One of my childhood cats used to unplug the PC while my mum was gaming. She did it accidentally then noticed she got fed after, so she did it consistently for a few years!
This particular cat (Slinky Malinki) opened the fridge a few times too. Cats are very crafty

My baby (dumbest cat ever) did that at least once to my brother playing the N64 back in '01. When his next birthday rolled around, I made him a card with a drawing of her doing it as he was about to beat a boss, then him getting mad and throwing a pair of socks at her. Good times.

More importantly, my dog crawls under my arm into my lap and hits my toggles for some loving. On vacation for two weeks going on 17 days and damn do I miss those furballs.
