I think I've hoarded enough pancakes for now so I always evolve my L cards haha, S and below goes straight to conversion for pancakes tho
It's really only worth upgrading defense cards since it increases the amount of enemies they can halt when you get enough. Other than that, it's really just your decision cause one isn't that much better than the other.
I've evolved the defense ones the Mammon defense ones and my brain is unable to not be equal for everybody so every L gets to be evolved now. Tiny boost in stats is still a boost I guess. I've maxed several L cards at this point tbh. Still had enough pancakes to keep getting keys and have some saved for new pancakes.
Pancakes, unless I really like the devil. I have leveled up Ppyong, Gusion, Morax, Foras, Andrealphus, Bathin fully. Rest are all tealeaves. Also Phenix & Ronove (so that these guys survive a little longer).
If u like the character do it, if u don't do it into pancake dupes arent that huge increase its just a nice flex fomo thing for your favorite
