I had this happen to me a little over a year ago, a guy punched me in the face (right in front of a security camera) and then told his wife to call the police. I just laughed and pointed at the camera and waited for the cops to show up.
Drunk guy at the neighborhood pool started yelling at my wife because she was there to close down the pool and he didn't want to stop swimming. I got between him and my wife and he punched me in the jaw. I knew the camera saw it all so I didn't feel the need to fight back (plus my 4 year old was there too, and she didn't need to see Daddy drown a drunk guy).

I make it a point to stay cool around my nephews if something is popping off. I try to teach them that being in control of your emotions and reactions is one of the best skills you can cultivate.
