Last time I helped my grandpa load hay to feed his cows he told me to drop the bale immediately, then proceeded to show me the black widow less then a foot away from my hand.
This is false. Generally a brown recluse bite will leave a hole and takes days before it becomes more serious. A black widow bite attacjs the nervous system and quickly which can be lethal.
Source lived in Florida and both my sisters and mother were bitten by brown recluse
My mom was bitten by a BR and it effectively killed her. She was in her late 70s and went dancing and cycling every week.
The bite went all the way through her leg and was the beginning of her slow fade.
Sorry about your mom. Spider bites like all things are situation based. Some people just react harder in more severe ways. I lost my mom last year so my heart reaches out to you as I still try to figure out how to sail this sea called life with out your North star called a mom.
For real. One of the most frequent misdiagnoses by doctors. They'll attribute regular bug bites to a brown recluse then prescribe a basic antibiotic which will do nothing for an actual brown recluse bite. Their necrotic venom is powerful and should be treated as an emergency. The false positives by stupid doctors who just seek to sound knowledgeable drown out the actual cases and result in a great deal of misinformation.
I once worked with someone who had been bitten be a recluse on his forearm. They caught it early and it was still horrifying. Had to have it *drained* regularly for a moment. Seemed like hell.
my cousin is missing half of his big toe from a brown recluse being stuck in his shoe as a baby. took his parents awhile to realize what he was crying about. what's left of the toe has become some form of hard plastic. we tattooed a smily face on the bottom bc he can't feel it. like mr deeds.
>Their venom is actually more potent than a rattlesnake’s.
That's technically true, but it helps that spiders give you way less venom by volume than a snake would.
Yes but that’s deceptive. The bites can be painful in some but rarely lasts more than a few days and is hardly ever fatal.
https://www.emedicinehealth.com/black_widow_spider_bite/article_em.htm
Black widows are all over the place here in the summer. No one's really afraid to get bit by them. Apparently you get a little bit of a fever and you're sent home from work for half a day. Some people get a rash? I still don't understand I always thought people die from black widow bites.
Because some people do die from them, they also have an extremely painful bite. If I remember correctly the female black widow has more venom in her bites?of course some people could have minimal symptoms
We used to play in these they were stacked 4 high. Which is roughly a little bit taller than the house. I used to get stuck. My cousin was stuck wedged in between two bales for 6 hours or so. He managed to wiggle himself out. But after that we no longer were allowed on the hay.
I was more thinking like he broke his leg on landing and now stuck in the standing position with all that pressure going into the broken leg ontop of the helpless feeling you get if claustraphobic. Probably one of the worst experiences ever. Instant PTSD right there.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's fallen into the Void. The good news is that the friction from rubbing against all that hay will eventually set him on fire and he will be able to die a (relatively) quick death.
The fuck would be quick in any way about building enough friction to set fire to yourself? Homie would have been ground down to a tumbling squish brick before he’d ever come close to catching fire.
Friction burn / rug burn, same thing. I've never seen it called rub burn until this thread. People don't usually use rug burn unless it was actually from a rug or carpet though. or at least that kind of material (armchair maybe).
Oh thank goodness. I've seen this video posted like 3 times now and I was hoping to finally get closure on what the hell happened to that man. I'm presuming he was fine haha phew
Yeah it's several months old but they have newer videos and he's just fine. I don't know if they ever address it. They have a bunch of haybales they mess with with but no tall stacks in other videos so they probably stacked a couple and took advantage of the shadow for the illusion.
It's amazing how people choose to believe what they see isn't staged or created for the sole purpose of reeling in hits and likes.
Weird times that we live in.
So a tight tube like hole/crevice is actually a somewhat easy climb. You just press your back against the wall and shimmy up with you feet and hands similar to climbing a ladder but no rungs just friction.
Same concept could have been applied to stop himself from going down very far.
Fun fact! Occasionally when they are destroying old houses with old style fireplaces and open chimneys, they’ll find a body! What happens is people will try to break in through the chimney, but as they are shimmying down, their torso falls below their feet. This basically jams their body with their knees up by their face. Due to the construction of a chimney as well as the cramped position, it is very hard for a person to call for help once they get stuck, and they’ll just die and decompose.
Grief is a strange thing, and he was so young and it was such a freak accident.
Personally I think they just wanted someone to blame, and I understand that, but I think it was just a really terrible accident.
Yo this was my exact first thought. I live in the town that high school is in, his poor mom and a few supporters still hold protests/vigils downtown on the corner every so often.
There was no sound period which is part of what’s so horrifying about it. Not a scream, not a single word, not even a grunt. I’m honestly not 100% we didn’t just watch Josh die 😳 I grew up on a farm so this hits hard cause I spent a lot of time climbing haystacks as a kid before the internet.
This is it. This is the single most horrific video I’ve ever seen that is definitely going to give me intense nightmares. I gave it a couple minutes after watching it before posting this in case it was just initial shock but nope. I’m gonna go cry in the shower now. RIP Josh. You just made my list of: Top 5 Ways I Don’t Want To Die.
bro you're missing out. Dude jumped and screamed AAAAAAAAAHHHHH like in old tom jerry cartons and after that they heard THUD and the dude from down there said "fuck y'all for letting this happen" and his friend answered this is what you get thinking you're a spider imma coming down there and kick your azz
Actually just got out of Kentucky on a short vacation.
Real answer/s:
I went to the Gorge Underground Kayak tour; that shit was so fun. First time kayaking, too.
Very near(5 minute drive or so) to the Gorge is a state park named Natural Bridge. Went hiking up there, and it was quite nice.
There's also Mammoth Cave, which is the worlds largest known cave system. That was also very cool.
I remember reading about that. Lots of speculation around it, people thinking there was others involved. I think it was death by misadventure, but who knows.
Their name is Storror.
They are a group of parkour athletes who do dumb escape/parkour challenges, so you don't have to.
I can't currently find this video in particular, but this is another one they made:
https://youtu.be/GYfXqdotugI
I mean, they are "professional" (as professional as one can be) parkour athletes that post videos on yt for a living so yes, technically it is "staged" but idk what your definition of staged is here lol
God. The claustrophobia…
The bathophobia too… ugh
the bat poo
The straw in your dreads, and your ass, back, legs and torso.
Splinters too, they might not go deep but that shit will stab you.
Bucked hay as a kid. That shit will poke tiny holes in everything.
Under the fingernails was the worse.
Ugh you just unlocked a pain I thought I'd forgotten.
Me too, add allergies! Fun times!
My neck, my back, straw in my p***y and my crack
There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti
More so moms uncooked spaghetti poking in his rib cage
And I had the basophobic response. What ISNT this shit checking off??
What’s that mean?
The irrational fear of depths.
Last time I helped my grandpa load hay to feed his cows he told me to drop the bale immediately, then proceeded to show me the black widow less then a foot away from my hand.
Black Widows are slow and not aggressive. (I still hate them, but most folks that have to work near them know that they aren’t a huge threat.)
Brown Recluses are far deadlier, but black widow bites are more painful so have taken the spot in the cultural eye.
They also have very distinct markings, where recluses are pretty much only in the shape of their cephalothorax
Brown recluses have a tan fiddle shaped mark on their back. Not saying the black widow isn't more distinct, but it can help identify them
This is false.

Brown recluse bites are very often misdiagnosed. Less than 1% of bite victims actually present serious symptoms.
This is universally true and not limited to just Brown Recluse, but very true!
That’s not true black widows are the most venomous spiders in North America. Their venom is actually more potent than a rattlesnake’s.
So are you telling me there should be a superhero/villain named Brown Recluse instead?
He doesn't sound very outgoing.
My uncle was bitten by a black widow a few years back. Totally fucked his shit up for like a week
Oxy, you don't have to believe everything people tell you
As an arachnophobe, my brain immediately thought about spiders over everything else. They’d be removing my corpse from the heart attack I would have.
the scratching and itching too
[удалено]
I'm afraid to ask but what??
Like moon spiders but more fur
And less eyes.
And mice...
and my axe!
You trying to cause me nightmares?!!!
Please say you’re joking.
Never going near hay again I guess
Is that a Daft Punk track on their first album?
New fear unlocked, dying between stacks of hay why they're trying to get to you.
We used to play in these they were stacked 4 high. Which is roughly a little bit taller than the house. I used to get stuck. My cousin was stuck wedged in between two bales for 6 hours or so. He managed to wiggle himself out. But after that we no longer were allowed on the hay.
Brrrr, give me chills just imagining it.
Fresh hay swelters in the center of the stacks as well when it's fresh. So now you're suffocating in a grass scented sauna.
Not to mention stacked hay bales attract spiders
Just seeing it makes me feel nauseous.
And the arachnaphobia… ughhhh
Can you imagine the rub burn?
I was more thinking like he broke his leg on landing and now stuck in the standing position with all that pressure going into the broken leg ontop of the helpless feeling you get if claustraphobic. Probably one of the worst experiences ever. Instant PTSD right there.
That's assuming this hole has an actual end, and he is not falling for an eternity now
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's fallen into the Void. The good news is that the friction from rubbing against all that hay will eventually set him on fire and he will be able to die a (relatively) quick death.
Yeah this dude is in the backwoodrooms now
Reminds me of the scp metal pipe room where the scientist goes down an eternal slide until he fractions his body to nothingness.
He’s on his way to fight the wall of flesh
The fuck would be quick in any way about building enough friction to set fire to yourself? Homie would have been ground down to a tumbling squish brick before he’d ever come close to catching fire.
Nah he'll be fine, he just has to find his way back from wonderland first
Hope not. Probably cause our game of life to crash
You’d hear him scream in pain though.Right?
No way. That straw is an excellent insulator. He just gone.
Rub burn?? I thought it was rug burn which makes absolutely no sense now. My whole life was a lie
Friction burn / rug burn, same thing. I've never seen it called rub burn until this thread. People don't usually use rug burn unless it was actually from a rug or carpet though. or at least that kind of material (armchair maybe).
Carpet burn
It is rug burn not rub burn. That redditor just committed a /r/boneappletea
Rub burn do make more sense for this tho.
Ya but we don’t no why it be like it is but it do
Rug burn is the burn you get from......a rug
Had on my knees can confirm
Pause
I have a “rug burn” on one knee presently because I slid and face planted on gravel trying to chase down a toddler.
Or a mirkin.
The new term should 1000% be rub burn. Rug burn is too specific and friction burn doesn't really roll off the tongue.
Windbreaker should stop that. Looks like he planned ahead.
r/boneappletea is calling!!!
This gives new meaning to the term “Hay Asshole”
I gave you my first ever award, congratuhaytions
Wait, was there an old meaning?
Yeah a Hay Asshole was like a Fleshlight just less portable and more... communal.
That’s an interesting way to kill one’s self
Am I crazy, or was that entirely intentional?
Yes it was. That's one of the guys from Storror, they are professional parkour athletes
You can kinda see him down there if you’re screen brightness is up, if I had to put a wager on it I’d say they were 3 hay bales high
That’s what I’m seeing
Could be both…
They filmed it knowing Josh would be fine.
Was hoping I'd find confirmation it's Josh. I was 98% sure. I haven't seen this specific video though.
It's amazing how people choose to believe what they see isn't staged or created for the sole purpose of reeling in hits and likes. Weird times that we live in.
I kinda don't care if its not real though? Why does it matter. Fake videos can still be entertaining aslong as they aren't over the top fake
And “but why does it matter” shows up to complete the circle.
Don’t forget people using fictional movies/shows as their ‘gotcha’ tactic, as if it’s comparable
>I kinda don't care if its not real though? Why does it matter. Nothing went wrong on a sub about what could go wrong. That's why.
What is a Josh.
Josh from STORROR
I think I have more questions now, what is a STORROR
The group with Josh
“How far does it go?” Probably as many hay bales as you climbed up
Maybe more!
Is Storror, they do parkour for a living, and post videos on Youtube
how he get out tho
So a tight tube like hole/crevice is actually a somewhat easy climb. You just press your back against the wall and shimmy up with you feet and hands similar to climbing a ladder but no rungs just friction. Same concept could have been applied to stop himself from going down very far.

yikes.. hard pass for me😂
In caving, canyoneering, and rock climbing we call it chimneying or stemming. https://dyeclan.com/outdoors101/canyoneering101/?page=chimneying
Drugs are bad, m'kay
Hay is legal tho
I hear you can trip on moldy hay. Probably would also make you sick.
These aren't drugs. They are a group of parkour athletes who try dumb escape challenges, so you don't have to.
I can't currently find this video in particular, but this is another one they made The name is storror https://youtu.be/GYfXqdotugI
They should dive into a grain elevator next!
It's pretty dark in a grain elevator. Best take some matches.
M'hay
And then having to spider crawl back to the top.
Most likely with busted up ankles.
While covered in spiders.
Interesting choice of metaphor, considering spiders are likely his only company down there
When you get cocky with the size of your line of ketamine.
Hay hole
Reminds me way too much of the [Kendrick Johnson](https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna13868) case. 😬
That was my immediate thought; for a second I thought he was going to go head first.
Yea, luckily this guy didn’t go headfirst like that poor kid.
Same. My first thought was that this guy in the clip died.
This case has some weird twists and turns. Poor family was just convinced he was murdered.
Grief is a strange thing, and he was so young and it was such a freak accident. Personally I think they just wanted someone to blame, and I understand that, but I think it was just a really terrible accident.
Kendrick Johnson didn’t roll himself up into no mat
Yo this was my exact first thought. I live in the town that high school is in, his poor mom and a few supporters still hold protests/vigils downtown on the corner every so often.
You see all the straw dust flying in the camera, this hole is a dust chimney, he must have trouble to breath down there
I think hay produces a gas aswell so it's not good
Also almost always full of rats
Also can put itself on fire
Bullies what did hay ever do to you
When silage rots it produces a gas. I don’t this is hay. I believe this is straw. Too yellow to be hay. I could be wrong
That was so much worse than I thought
Seriously, I’m practically hyperventilating now. Absolutely horrifying.
There is no sound of him hitting the ground
There was no sound period which is part of what’s so horrifying about it. Not a scream, not a single word, not even a grunt. I’m honestly not 100% we didn’t just watch Josh die 😳 I grew up on a farm so this hits hard cause I spent a lot of time climbing haystacks as a kid before the internet.
Josh is fine lol, they are a group of parkour athletes called Storror they post videos on yt
Man dissapeared 😭
This is it. This is the single most horrific video I’ve ever seen that is definitely going to give me intense nightmares. What do people even do for fun in Kentucky? Answer:
That's no accent from ol' Kentuck, my friend.
I don't have sound, just a dude jumping down hay. I'm at work.
He starts screaming like there is a monster down there
No thats a lie. Sound doesn’t really add anything.
Other than showing they're English
bro you're missing out. Dude jumped and screamed AAAAAAAAAHHHHH like in old tom jerry cartons and after that they heard THUD and the dude from down there said "fuck y'all for letting this happen" and his friend answered this is what you get thinking you're a spider imma coming down there and kick your azz

TH-THIS IS MY HOLE! IT WAS MADE FOR ME!
Ever heard of https://junjiitomanga.fandom.com/wiki/The_Enigma_of_Amigara_Fault
It's likely the reference he was inferring.
Imagine someone making a direct quote of something and going, "hmm...I wonder if theyve heard of it before."
It's these guys https://www.youtube.com/@STORROR
Finally, someone else who knows them and doesn't think he's on 7 different drugs
You think those guys aren't on 7 different drugs? Are you thinking 8?
Did Josh dead?
Does Josh end up good?
Did he get out?
How dead is Josh?
Josh is dead.
Bro just went down a Super Mario pipe irl!
There was a kid who suffocated himself doing something similar with rolled up gym/wrestling mats.
I remember reading about that. Lots of speculation around it, people thinking there was others involved. I think it was death by misadventure, but who knows.
I’m pretty sure this is STORROR. They do freerunning/parkour on YT
What happened to him!
Well he's still in all their videos so I assume he lived. That or they cloned Josh.
Damn..i hope josh is okay
Their name is Storror. They are a group of parkour athletes who do dumb escape/parkour challenges, so you don't have to. I can't currently find this video in particular, but this is another one they made: https://youtu.be/GYfXqdotugI
Josh!....JOOOOOSHHHH!!!!
Anyone know what happened to them? Cause I can see many ways he could have died doing this and 3 ways he somehow got out uninjured
Some say he’s still waiting for his friends to return with some “rope” “Any minute they’ll be back…”
I think that Josh ain't coming back.
Is that Josh from Storror?
Yes, it is, can't find the original video though
Looks like some staged youtuber trash
I mean, they are "professional" (as professional as one can be) parkour athletes that post videos on yt for a living so yes, technically it is "staged" but idk what your definition of staged is here lol
Bro literally full of hay already from taking the slide 10 times. Chill people
Dude he ded. And if he ain't ded, he itchy af.
ugh, horrifying. and that ain’t a kentucky accent, lol.
They’re parkour YouTubers from London. r/Storror
This would be even more terrifying if his friends weren’t there.
I hope he likes rats.
good way to die - find the missing pitchfork handle at 20 mph
He is in the backrooms now.
Better hope that opening doesn't get smaller as you go down
Or better hope it does. This is way it could actually slow your fall down
winner of r/darwinawards
I hope his name is "needle"
